there is no cast on cast off for the M1 that I know of.

get rid of the rem oil and WD40. try miltec-1 or fp10. a buddy has contant problems with kent 1-1/8 loads, he since switched to 1.25 oz and haven't had a single jam up. corrision x is great for outside, but man its too thick for the inside. i put some grease ONLY on the rails and then use a light coat of oil on the rest of the action. also check yoru recoil tube spring, it could be rust up and dirty. hope this helps.

Try having someone else shoot it before you mess with shims and see. do you or any buddies have an after market choke?

Its called stove piping and a lot of people have that problem. What type of shell are you shooting and what type of oil are you using? how old is your gun and how much have you shot it?

never seen a SII before but on my SBE it really helps to have snap ring plyers and remove the end cap and then the spring, plug, and follower.

This is for the SBEII All the parts should share the same letter. example: C-CDX-DX or C-CSX-SX DX = right hand SX = left hand The SX and DX justs determines cast off for right or left hand. Drop at heel: Z = 50 A = 55 B = 60 C = 65

never had those problems with mine. have you taken the firing pin out and cleaned it very well? i used my nova on only two hunts in sub 32 and never had a problem, but it was well used by that time. i'd break it down and take the bolt out and firing pin and clean everything and then put some grease on the rails and slide and oil the rest and see.

Take it back to dealer. Its a lot of money for a gun with flaws.

dagrizz: That makes some since, but why not do the line the whole length instead of just half way? But like you, I try to have mine face the back.

No SBEII D shim, the SBEII C shim is the same as the D shim as the SBE. If you are shooting high wit the C you can try the X shim, but good chance are it won't help much.

Its a personal preference. Swing them all and see.

Even corrosoion-x didn't help my SBE, it did my Nova though. Someone said somethign like ezox works better than Corrosion-X. I'd just get the gun dipped or if you don't want to spend the money, paint it.

HUNTGEESEFUN: Where did you guys hunt and how did y'all do? Any problem with those 3.5 kents?

I haven't tried any of mine with buckshot yet. I shoot #4 buck for sandhill crane and I need it to pattern pretty tight as those are some smart birds. A buddy who reloads says buckshot is funny, try some SLOW buffered rounds if possible.

No, drundel has a Nova, but I don't consider a pump gun a pheasant gun. The legacy is very cool, i want one, but money is better spent on the M1 or Monte.
