I'd say the trouble would be worth perhaps $200 off the price, which is $1112.00 USD. Would you be paying any relevant shipping and customs fees and duties?

Are you sure you're seeing scratches and not marks left by the plastic wads? Boresnakes don't get those very well.

In most cases a mount becomes "professional" when you pay someone to do it for you. I cringe every time I go in a nearby gunshop and see some of the stuff those clowns do. Learn to do it yourself and learn to do it right. Then there's no doubt and no one else to blame for the problems. The dealer should've known that the STD Leupold BAR mount would bottom out on the R1. We've known about it for over two years. The factory rail is tapered and it's the only one I've found that will allow you to zero the elevation without running out of room. A "gunsmith" leaving a mount imporperly tightened is inexcusable. You need a refund. Did he level the scope in the mounts to negate cant at longer ranges? Did he set the eye relief for you or for him? Did he lap the rings or use the Burris rings with inserts?

Regardless of its purpose, the Constitution protects all US citizens with regards to the right to keep and bear arms. Any federal, state, or local law which prohibits or restricts that right is illegal and therefore irrelevant.

Generally speaking, the European shotguns are designed to have front bead stacked atop the mid bead, with the target fully in view just above both of them. I see a little rib on my SBEII and have become accustomed to a slightly lower cheek weld.

I did and would again choose the SBEII. Easier to take down and clean. 3.5" for geese makes it much more fun.
