They were available in europe for 30-06 and .308 two years ago, but I've yet to see one stateside. Of course, the chubby WSM would not be a ten rounder.

I hate that it's you guys, but you are better at handling it than NO ever will be. Looks like I could be seeing it by next weekend as well.

Assuming you're talking about a semi-auto, because you're in the Benelli forum. Are you going to be shooting light trap loads? Benelli sporting arms use the Inertia (recoil operated) system, and they require certain minimums for proper functioning. Some trap shooters have problems understanding that they may not cycle properly with their light loads, even after break-in. Are you looking for a 12 ga. or a 20 ga.?

I suggest that FEMA start now. If they get a lot of busses and offer everyone a free 42" plasma and a $5,000 debit card if they evacuate, they could save money and countless lives.

It's like it knows exactly where it wants to go Here's the latest time, position and strength forecast. Thursday AM, it's drawing a bead on the gulf coast of LA, MS at 115 mph.

Use the search feature. Put in "M1 vs M2". It's all been covered before.

I use Hoppes Elite Field Cleaner for cleaning and protecting every square inch of my SBEII. It's two years old and there isn't a spec of rust anywhere on it. It is stored in a dark, dry space in the interior of my home, which is climate controled for temperature and humidity.

You're working your way up to saving someone from getting a rusted barrel, but I can tell it isn't going to be easy. Your other firearms have a factory blued finish. While bluing itself is not any more impervious to rust than the Benelli finish, it is slick. The slick surfaces allow you to fully wipe dry the surfaces, removing all of the residual solvents used in the cleaning process. The matte finish is rougher and it can retain solvents, which over time will lead to rust, especially if stored in less than favorable conditions. Hoppes makes a number cleaning and care products, but you have yet to divulge the exact products and methods that you used. My guess is that right about now you're figuring out that you're supposed to clean with solvent, but then perhaps re-oil the surfaces before storing. A clean gun will rust quickly. A clean, oiled gun will not. Your Benelli came with a bottle of Benelli oil and a manual. I'm thinking that you haven't bothered opening either one of them. Now, you have a choice. You can continue to pursue the course of claiming that you got the one and only lemon Benelli made with regards to the exterior finish; or you can fess up to the fact that you have not properly cared for the weapon, naively assuming it was just like all of your others and that it would tolerate your inept care.

Yes, Benelli has several e-mail addresses, but you're not getting them from me. You've already annoyed enough people on this forum. No sense in letting it spread any further. Best guess - you're looking at a French receiver with a Benelli brand or Benelli made barrel. More than likely, it's crap.
-
I'm assuming that the gun is (or was) the black finish? Explain your cleaning method, including the solvents and lubricants used. Was the gun stored in the open, in a closet, in a case, in a safe??? Somewhere in these questions lies the answer to why YOUR Benelli rusted in two months of storage while mine hasn't rusted, here in humid Virginia , after being stored since May. Now you can take the road you've said you're going to take, and begin bad-mouthing Benellis everywhere you go. Trust me, you won't impact sales one bit. Or you can take the high road and get to the real reason your gun rusted while everyone else's has not.

Try to get a picture of the gun and post it to shotgunworld.com in the Gun ID and Value section I don't care where you live. I was making fun of the gun, and of France. I believe France is in Europe, eh. (now there, I was making fun of where you live) There is no award, or if there is, they mailed it to the wrong place.

Go with the synthetic. The wood is beautiful, but the synthetics will look better longer and will take more abuse. Benelli wood stocks can be thin and the first stock on my R1 cracked like an egg.

A French Benelli. This can't be good. It will probably cower and run away when the birds flush

Answer 1 - I shoot a LH SBEII after years of using RH guns from the "wrong" side. The safety is setup for LH use, and I never have a problem with the bolt release. Answer 2 - I'm not convinced that the Comfortech system dampens recoil all that much, but it's a nice stock. it's definitely going to pucnh harder than the Xtrema2, but I never notice the recoil when shooting at greenheads and honkers.

This is where I think many dealers fall way short of what they could or should be. There's no reason that a dealer shouldn't be able to offer on-site diagnosis and repair for minor problems like this, and it's absurd to think that the gun has to go all the way back to Pocomoke, MD for repair. Of course, in this case, Pocomoke is just a few minutes from the owners' home town. Bet he still has to mail it

I thought that model was exclusive to Dick's Sporting Goods. Have you checked with them?

A little more detail here. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/2147.html#000000

1. The bolt should be either opened or fully cycled and shut before loading. Easing the bolt forward will not allow the head to fully rotate and engage, and you can neither load or shoot it in this position. Always make sure the bolt is all the way forward. 2. There is a tab or dog ear on the top side of the carrier that is supposed to fit into a slot in the bottom of the bolt. If it's not alinged, it can snag on the edge of ths slot and prevent the carrier from going up any higher. Try pushing tthe carrier slight right or left to make it line up. If thtis is the problem, it will get better with use and wear, but you can also carefully tweak the fit by bending the tab in the right direction using good linesman or needle nose pliers. Yes. Still banned. It just burns me that the yahoos who booted me didn't do their part. I e-mailed them back and thought that was the end of it. I didn't realize that I had to keep their contact info. and ask several times to be reinstated or whatever the heck they want. I see people posting stuff on there very day that's a LOT worse than my reference to illegal aliens having moist lumbars, but they don't get booted. I guess I should have checked to see if there were any mods named Castro before I posted Anyway, thanks for the effort.

When I was 16 years old, I worked in a hardware store. We sold an old lady a .22 magnum revolver and a box of ammo. The next day, she walked in the door, pointed the revolver straight at me, and pulled the trigger about six times while proclaiming, "This dammed thing won't shoot!". Luckily, she had inserted the cartridges into the cylinder backwards, with the nose facing back towards her. Right then and there I learned to not assume that anyone knows anything about firearms; at least until they've proven otherwise. Surpisingly enough, a few days later she shot her husband in the leg. Said she was shooting at a groundhog in the back yard when he stepped into the sight picture. Some may perceive my attitude as being condescending or blunt, and that's their right to do so. But when I don't know you, and you come here leading in with information that indicates that you're a pale shade of green when it comes to firearms, I tend to err on the side of caution. Magazine extensions will allow for even more rounds to be loaded in the pipe. How to float a shell on the carrier. And, by the way, you can only get one round in the chamber at a time

Benelli Armi Spa is the Italian name of the company, not a model.
