Are you going to start a new thread with each response? http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/3518.html#000000

Other factors.... Wood or synthetic? Camo or black? General condition? HK or Benelli USA? If I couldn't do better than $900 US, I'd just buy a new SBEII.

Some people are OK with settling for less. Nothing wrong with that. I've owned Tasco, Simmons, Nikon, Zeiss, Bushnell, BSA, Burris, Swift, Weaver, Redfield, and Leupold scopes. The only ones I've been truly satisfied with are the Leupolds.

I shot 2-3/4" dove loads this year and even left my C&H recoil reducer on. It still performed flawlessly.
-
That's ridiculous.

5 ft. low?! At what distance? Have you let anyone else shoot the gun to see if there's a problem with your form? Never heard of rotating the mag tube to change POI. I suppose that if the mag tube was not fitted squarely to the receiver then it could have some bearing on it. There have also been instances where the barrels are not threaded straight and the choke tubes go in at a slight angle. Have someone else try the gun. Don't tell them what to expect. If the POI is still wrong for them, then call Benelli CS.

BTW - photobucket sucks

When you get the inline images figured out, we'd love to have this posted to the 2006 - 2007 Pictures thread. How to post an image.

You've been given a good deal of bad information. Read this. http://federalcartridge.com/default.asp?menu=1&s1=5&s2=9 Then read this, especially number 4. http://hunting.about.com/od/shotgun/l/aastshotgunfaqa.htm

More information: Many of today's shotshell manufacturers have stopped labeling their products with the charge weight, and have gone to a velocity lable instead. This makes it a little more difficult to figure out if they meet the Benelli minimum. The best rule of thumb is to not use any shells marked "light field" or "light target", as these will be the ones that could give you trouble.
-
It's not so much the length of the shells as it is what's inside them. Because the Inertia system relies on energy generated from the recoil of the shell being fired, Benelli recommmends using shells that meet a minimum criteria of 3 drams of powder and 1-1/8 ounce of shot. Many Inertia guns will cycle lighter loads after break-in, but Benelli will make no guarantees regarding the use of any shells that do not meet the minimum specs. It's simply a matter of physics, and the shell must generate enough energy to properly cycle the action. If you want to shoot light loads, you can buy aftermarket springs that will allow for this, but again, Benelli will only support the gun in its factory configuration. I don't know about noodling, but I'll bet he could teach a city boy to squeal like a pig [ 09-18-2006, 11:54 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Benelli Part 60515 - $199.95 Brownell's also lists it at $248.
-
dandy, There is a release button that can be pressed and the shell will back out of the magazine, but it's very difficult to manipulate, and most of us simply cycle them through.
-
You guys are going at it from the wrong end. The easiest way to empty a Benelli without cycling the action is to unscrew the mag cap and pop out the spring.

Post your question to a new thread, and I'll tell you the answer.

wingbone, Allow me to make a couple of slight adjustments to an other wise accurate set of observations. 1. "might be an a@$hole"...? Do you mean to tell me that after all of this hard work, there's still some doubt? I am deeply hurt. Deeply, deeply hurt 2. "the only thing tucker doesnt know much about is turkey hunting". I'm just learning that you gotta use the right bait. I just found out recently that them turkeys LOVE day old road kill. Heck, just today I seen a whole flock of 'em bunched up around a dead skunk on route 4

Are you seriously jealous of my post count? What's the matter with you? Do you routinely make a habit of establishing yourself as the Southern end of a Northbound jackal as soon as you enter a room full of strangers? This isn't my home, but this is my family you're trying to offend. Go run

Benelli/Beretta Mobil or Mobile tubes (square threads) fit the older models. The newer SBEII, SS tubes are the Crio tubes. Welcome to the fun!
