That darned thing holds together ten pages! No wonder it fell off

Looks like that whole running off the anger thing didn't quite wortk out Duggan, I'm ashamed of you. All this time I thought you knew what you were doing. Now there's absolutley NO ONE in the whole military/tactical bullpen who even remotely knows these weapons. I guess mudlips and I are going to get us some of them 11 shots and start brushing up on 'em

Mine runs 6 hours or better. But installing the remote kit is the best thing. Flipping it on and off as they hit the corners is very effective.

Nemesis, The guy came here for feedback. He got his feedback and made his decision. He said he had decided to not buy the Benelli, because he wanted a gun that was 100% reliable. What else am I supposed to tell him, other than goodbye and good luck? I didn't start horsing around until the OP had already stated his intent to not buy a Benelli. I'm certainly not going to try to persuade someone with unrealistic expectations to buy the product, and then have to watch them whine about it on here for the next year and a half. It works out to be about $1698 US. That's still out of line. As for your other comments, you are forgiven, based on the above mentioned handicap.

They shoot too high. The safety is hard to push and it's so loud that it scares away all game within a square mile. They tear up your thumb. They rust if you put them next to a glass of water. You have to press some goofy release button to get a shell to feed from the magazine. They don't pattern well with buckshot. They kick too hard and make me cry. They won't cycle light target loads (which are great on migratory ducks and geese by the way). I'm still trying to figure out why I even own one

Here's a more direct link for those of you who can't seem to find your baseball mitt. Link Then find the model BRTF-TCW

OK. See ya. Good Luck.

Other than the fact that Brenneke has a quality problem, completely unrelated to the Benelli, you like the Super Nova?
-
I like steel 3's and 2's on decoying ducks with the chance of geese dropping by. For strictly geese, I load a 2, followed by two BB's. If you're gonna shoot hevi-shot, then simply step down two shot sizes on each. Primos Dead Zone tubes. D is for decoy. P is for pass.

Did you want to go ahead and post this to the Stoeger, Franchi, and Uberti forums as well?
-
No. No. Yes, but doing so repeatedly may lead to throat damage.
-
Done it. Given your experiences, you should have little to no problems with the operation. It's tedious, because the detent and srping are in a blind space underneath the crossbolt, rather than on top like most guns. Take a look at it and decide what tools you'll want to use and give it a shot.

I agree

I don't think it makes a whole lot difference, but others say it does. There's definitely no harm, and there may be some benefit, so... Store them with spring relaxed. Never had a problem with dry firing without snap caps. If they make you feel better about doing it, then buy them.

Root Cause. Make planes hijack proof and they simply start attacking us in other more vulnerabale places. The only way to deal with a problem in absolute certain terms is to eleminate the source of the problem, at its roots. You go out in your yard every day, and get stung by a yellow jacket. What's the most effective long-term solution? A - Change the way you dress so that you no longer have exposed skin, regardless of the temperature. B - Stop going in the yard during daylight hours so you won't get stung. C - Try to identify which yellowjackets are stinging you and pick them out of the crowd. D - Follow one to nest, wait until they're all asleep, and destroy the source of the problem once and for all. As I said, as long as them doing what they do is worse than us doing what we do, they will continue. On the other hand, if we respond, to the fullest extent of our capabilities, to any action or threat of action, then they will soon realize that their efforts agaisnt us only bring more harm to them and to their people. The countries who host them must fear us more than they do them. It must become VERY unhealthy to allow terrorists to live and to function from within one's borders. It must become VERY unhealthy to host their websites and to promote their videos on the airways. Kill it at its roots and it won't come back. Unfortunately, innocent lives will be lost. Unfortunately, this is the kind of war THEY have chosen to wage.

How much are needing to add? You could fabricate a shim or you could have a look at some limbsaver pads that may add enough.

Run three or four boxes of 3" magnums through her and she'll be good to go
-
Try the 3.5's and see how you like them. If they hurt too much, then spend the money on the reducer or switch down to 3" shells.

Primos Dead Zone tubes. They come two per set. One for pass and one for decoy shooting. They are extended tubes and are knurled for easy installation and removal. If the weapon is black synthetic, clean all surfaces with Hoppes Elite Field Cleaner. This cleaner leaves a protective lubricating coating similar to CLP, so no further lubing is necessary. You'll get dissenting opinions, but I like to leave no wet surfaces or dripping lubricants on the gun. Apply the oil, then wipe off all excess, leaving a thin film. If camo, use Elite on the exposed metals, and use a mild detergent and damp cloth on the camo finish.

SpA is the Italian equivalent of Inc. or LLC here. It designates the company as a corporation. SPAS, as in SPAS-12 stands for "Sporting Purpose Automatic Shotgun". But, since the weapons are usually too beefy and hefty for sporting purposes, more popular acronyms such as "Special Purpose Automatic Shotgun" or "Special Purpose Assault Shotgun" are frequently used.

I will always remember how blue, empty, and quiet the skies were that afternoon. I never dreamt I'd see that again in my lifetime. I wish I never had. The attacks of 911 exploited many of the freedoms that define life in a free society. Sadly, America citizens have lost that buffer we'd previously enjoyed, and the evils of the rest of the world have proven that we are no longer impervious to them. Since 911, the world has become more hostile and dangerous for all humankind. We are a gnat's azz from WWIII breaking out, and whether or not we ever bring Osama bin Laden to justice will have very little bearing on how the future plays out. Over and over, these extremists have proven that they do not play by anyone's rules, so defeating them in a conventional sense is a hopeless endeavor. Sadly, the only way we will overcome terrorism is to become more terrible than they are. [ 09-11-2006, 05:49 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Try the C shim and shoot your patterns at 30 yards. Check the way you're sighting the gun. The target should be fully visible above the front bead, not covered by it. The mid bead should appear just below the front bead, making a figure 8, not covering it.
