I took it out once and it shot well with Federal Fusion, but I'm still working on it. Trigger work's been done. Waiting on a barrel nut wrench from Texas, then the barrel comes off for some time on the lathe. I've got a bunch of SA surplus ammo to burn up for fun, and then I'll be tweaking her in for deer season. Check out Aimsurplus.com for good deals on .223, 7.62 x 39, .308 and more.

From a vise? Anyway, the group size isn't all that bad for the given weapon. I've seen some guys who'd be tickled to get that from their semi-auto. Not me, but some guys. You need to take the feeding issues up with cutomer service again. There's really no one here who can help you, given the information you've been able to convey. Skeet with a .308. Now there's the problem!

Have you asked CS which ammo they're using? Has CS asked you which ammo you're using? Have you tested the rifle with other loads? Is it one of the first models with the index system, or does it have the new spring-lock barrel nut? Have you asked someone else to shoot it, to make sure the problem isn't behind the recoil pad? Are you shooting from a bench? What are the groupings you are getting? Have you tested yourself for flinching? Has the crown been subjected to damage? Has the weapon been thoroughly cleaned? Have the scope and mounts been checked to see if all is well, physically and functionally? [ 08-14-2006, 04:44 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

They'll still be new after you've tried the swap. Unless you don't have a clue what you're doing and end up trying to pry the stocks off with a screwdriver or clamping the receivers in a steel vise.
-
I'd find someone who has both guns and ask them to try swapping the stocks. I don't know where you'd find such a person, but I'll bet he's out there somewhere.

It's been a couple of years, but as I recall the rail is tapered and is marked as to which end goes to the front by an arrow. Check to see if some screws are longer than others. If they are, use the longer screws in the thickest part of the base. As far as the holes being plugged, they may be. I can't remember. It should be pretty easy to see whether or not there are rubber or hard plastic pugs in the holes. If there are, then disassemble the receiver, barrel assembly, remove the bolt, and push them out from the inside using a small punch. In other words, when looking into the holes, you should see threads. If they're still not working after all of this, then take it back to the dealer for assistance.

+1 for the Dead Zone tubes. Used them last season and loved them.

Hint: Look in the vicinity of the blue arrows

The 3.5" gives you more shot in the pattern. The velocities are identical to 3". With more shot density, you have a better chance of bringing down what you shoot.

If you're going to use a low mounted scope all of the time, consider removing the rear sights altogether.

I recommend IC for both.

Roughly - Try medium rings with a 40mm and high rings with a 50mm objective lens. Here are Leupold's ring heights. Other makers should be very similar. Medium rings - .77 inches High rings - .90 inches Super high rings - 1.00 inches These are measured from the top of the mounting surface to the bottom of the scope tube.

Mine is a pretty snug fit, even without the pin in place. So I'd say it is possible. Best way to find out would be to take off work tomorrow and got shoot two more rounds

SBEII. Duck hunting sometimes requires shots and follow-ups at odd angles. Having the mechanics of the gun do the work, rather than having to pump the action will be of great benefit, especially if wearing heavy clothing.

They're not so good with the e-mails. Better to call them. The website I gave you should have the UK or EU numbers listed.

The Centro has two rib heights available. 10mm and 8mm. If yours is the 10mm, then you can indeed acquire a shorter rib. You should contact a Benelli dealer or Benelli directly through the Italian website. http://www.benelli.it/index.asp?Lan=EN Good luck!

Yes, they should interchange with no problems. If you want to reduce recoil, then you may want to consider adding a mercury recoil reducer and perhaps a limbsaver pad. Those two modifications should reduce felt recoil more effectively than the Comfortech stock, and the cost would be considerably less. http://www.mercuryrecoil.com/suppressors/index.htm#top

The major difference is in the receiver designs. The standard nova uses an integrated one piece receiver-stock. The supernova is a two piece design, more like the M's and SBE's.

This fellow may be able to give a review.

pup21, I saw a couple of Pelican cases on ebay this AM that appeared to be going pretty cheap. You might want to check 'em out.
