Did you catch the buyer's name? Wonbon Ebryminot

I don't think WD-40 eats aluminum, but it does eat shi* as a gun care product.

You may have to check with these people on whether the mag. cap model will fit, but they also have other designs which may interest you. http://www.mercuryrecoil.com

At the risk of interrupting a perfectly good βitch session, I'd like to point out that the OP (boo) has what I see as a simple warranty part issue. He should stick with contacting Benelli CS via proven means (PHONE CALL) and politely ask for a replacement shim. I seriously doubt that they will even question him on the broken part or request to get it back. Now then, I understand others have issue with Benelli's parts distribution system, and that's fine. But boo needs a shim, and it should be covered by warranty. The rest is up to you, boo.

boo, I understand your frustration, and I agree that they should either manage the e-mails or not supply the link to begin with. I'm a firm believer that mismanaging e-mails is like not answering the phone, and it could be an opportunity lost. However, I do KNOW that Benelli CS will help you if you will just be patient on the phone and speak with them. I erroneously read your original post and thought you were seeking a shim for the SBE, not the SBEII. Sorry about that. Russ F.'s comments about Benelli not making parts for the SBEII are unfounded and should be ignored. I can assure you that they do make parts, and that they WILL support your needs under warranty. Grab a magazine, get a fresh cup of joe, and make the call. I like to use the cordless, in case I get a nature call while holding [ 12-21-2005, 02:04 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Pretty old thread.... but, thanks for the comments. I'll have to disagree on the stringing comment, however. The cryo treatment merely improves the molecular structure of the metal to make it more uniform. The barrel will still heat, the metal will still expand, and it will string due to uneven pressures from the mounting system. The harmonics of the barrel as the bullet passes through and exits will vary, depending upon the temperature variances as well.

I sure am glad this thread has a history

And it's "rufled"!!

Adobe Photoshop: Open Benelli stock image from website. Open source image for pattern (paisley, rice field, etc.) Select gun outline using magnetic lasso on stock image and copy/paste to new image w/ trans. background. Using the healing brush, clone a large selection of pattern image to new image of gun. Basically, this gives you the gun-shaped pattern layer. Copy/paste this layer back to the stock image, adjust transparency to blend with original gun features, and then tweak hue/color settings until desired effect is achieved. Add text caption with drop shadow. Flatten layers and save as jpg. Done. Glad to help. [ 12-20-2005, 07:43 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Sounds like you and I have a lot in common. Two jobs here. Day job pays the bills and keeps the kids in school. Job #2, computer & networking services, is all about the mad money

That's about half of that Xtrema2

Sounds like I'm trying to get off the pipe, don't it? For those who haven't been following along, I had bypass surgery on 10-31. Doctors say no bang-bang until 1-31, but I don't know if I can agree with that. I think a heavy parka, ComforTech, and (gasp) 2-3/4" shells will get me back a couple of weeks ahead of schedule. Almost all of the discomfort is gone and I feel stronger than I have in years. I deer hunted the other day with my Striker pistol. Had an ugly 3 pointer in the hairs at 150, but decided to let him walk. I've killed enough of those to fill a dump truck, so one more wasn't going to matter. If I lose my streak of 15+ years of at least one deer, then sobeit Merry Chriskwanznuka to all!

Amen to that! Man, I wanna shoot my eagle!

Thus the 12" scar in the middle of my chest

I keep forgetting that not everyone has 20.1" widescreen monitors. Images reduced to 800 wide.

Mudhen, I guess I owe you one too That one looks pretty good!

Alright, alright! That's enough!

Look at the US military. They use two basic camo patterns, and they're not Max4HD, Realtree, Mossy Oak, etc.. Yet, they are effective. Their desert camo would probably be very close to what Eric is looking for, and you can find it in surplus stores or online on the cheap.

I have to drive anywhere from 65 to 150 miles (one way) to get what I want "locally". I have bought guns from Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shops, but they are both at the far end of the mileage spectrum for me. My last two purchases have been online, through gunbroker.com. I have a local guy in my town who doesn't stock any guns anymore, but he maintains his FFL for transfers. I pay him $25 for his troubles and he does the paperwork for me. Bottom line is that I'll buy wherever I have to in order to get what I want at a decent price.

How much longer is the full moon going to last? The camo industry has managed to convince a lot of people that a camo pattern must look like indigenous rocks and flora in order to be effective. Simply not true. Any camo pattern which breaks up profiles and outlines is effective.

Assuming you're talking about floating a shell on the carrier, there are threads on these forums regarding how to do that. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1310.html#000000 http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1323.html

...and yes, the synthetics hold up very well.
-
First, just to clarify, the Super Sport's stock is synthetic with a finish that looks like carbon fiber. The Cordoba's porting will not bother the shooter so much as it others in near proximity. In a duck blind, a ported gun can be an invitation to not come back. You need to define which type of shooting you do the most. If you mostly shoot skeet and doves, with just one or two waterfowl outings a year, then the Cordoba could be your gun. If you spend more time in the blinds and in the turkey woods, then you should perhaps consider the M2 or SBEII. There are plenty of discussions on these boards regarding the differences between those two guns, so I won't go into it again here. Also, keep in mind that all of these are Inertia driven shotguns, and therefore are not designed to handle light target loads. The minimum recommended load for them is 3 drams powder behind 1-1/8 oz shot. Many function flawlessly with lighter loads. Some don't. Happy Chriskwanzukka!
