Never had a problem with it, but I did look at mine and it's pretty sharp edge there. You must have pretty large fingers for it to be riding that high. Either that, or you're not gripping the lightweight gun firmly enough and it's sliding down and back.

I decided to let Benelli do the stroking, and got a SBEII.

Get the big one. The one with the funny looking thing on the end of the whatchamacallit.

Answer? Where's the question?

No problem with using Loctite on the tube threads. If you used red, you may have to heat it a bit to remove it again.

Went deer hunting with the local club today. By 10:00 AM, I had seen 19 does, a dozen of which would have been easy pickings for my R1. Two problems: It's not doe season yet. Doc says no R1 until Jan. 31st. I had 'em in the hairs of the Savage Striker pistol, but their heads were slicker than Kojak's

Wallhanger, correct me if I'm wrong. It's my understanding that the inertia spring loads and unloads quickly (think whiplash), setting the bolt on a rearward path with sufficient energy to eject the spent shell and ready the next one for loading; while the recoil spring, using energy transferred from the inertia spring, cocks the mechanism and sends the bolt back home.

Depends on your intended purpose. You're using the slug gun for deer and hogs? You've got a turkey gun already. What's left is brids, feathered and clay, right? Sounds to me like you don't need the steady grip, but a traditional design. The barrel lenght won't change the pattern one bit, but the added length will give you a longer sight plane and make flying targets"seem" to be closer. It also makes for smoother swing and follow through.

Thanks for the compliment. But I have to say that it isn't just me. These forums have many knowledgeable members, and I learn something new every day I visit here.

Typically, hevi-shot does best in the less constrictive tubes, but it will have no ill efects on full or modified chokes.

LMAO! I see someone else has a few skills Those nostrils look like 10 ga. SXS.

Personally, I never use swabs. I use a bore snake for general cleaning after each outing. For thorough cleaning, I use a quality solvent and bore brush. I then use common paper table napkins, compacted to fit the bore tightly and pushed through with a shotgun rod. Cheap and disposable.

With those two aftermarket items, your recoil reduction should equal or slightly exceed that of the ComforTech system.

I created a Benelli Group map on frappr.com. Thought it would be a nice way to get a visual on each other Add yourself, if you're so inclined. http://www.frappr.com/benelliownersgroup

I think it's one of those "lost in translation" things. Just be thankful that Benelli isn't a Japanese company [ 12-30-2005, 06:01 PM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

Assuming you mean the black synthetics... When mine looks like it needs a little TLC, and water isn't doing it, I remove the stock and forearm from the weapon, clean them thoroughly with water and a mild detergent, and then use Hoppes Elite Gun Cleaner. Apply enough to make the surfaces appear wet, then buff down with a clean dry cloth. The Hoppes restores the depth and richness to the black finish. Did you notice that the only bidder with more than +1 feedback dropped out at $85? I would not be feeling too confident right now, if this were my item.
