Ouch! You've definitely gotta hang on to 'em. I get an occasional bruise on my middle finger from the trigger guard and Sunday's patterning session left a bump on my trigger finger.

I used mine for ducks and geese with 3.5's this year and had no problems with recoil. Admittedly, recoil on the test bench is annoying, but when geese and ducks are coming, it isn't even noticed. The SBEII is a lightweight gun. It's going to seem to kick harder if for no other reason than that. You're 20. You're a man.

One has not been developed by Benelli yet. How old are you?

HA! I'd love to get a crack at him with a load of steel 2's. I want him to flop around a good bit before he succumbs I used Hevi-shot this year on ducks and saw little improvement over steel, but most of the shots were over the decoys anyway. I used Tungsten Iron on the geese in late season and they folded like rags. I just patterned for Hevi-Shot 4's for Spring gobblers and I look forward to the opportunity to putting some non-toxic bird on the table!

Same Page... slightly farther down http://www.atf.gov/firearms/faq/faq2.htm#b14 B(14) A foreign visitor may purchase a firearm and have it exported by a licensee. The licensee must obtain an export license from the State Department for this type of transaction. This is the route he was taking at last contact. This member of the group thinks that if you can't afford two guns, then buy the gun based on the highest usage. If you're going to hunt more than you are going to shoot home intruders, then buy a hunting weapon and use it to shoot the ocassional home invader. Believe me, the crooks won't know the difference, but the deer and turkeys will.

Have you called to follow up?

I guess I somehow misinterpreted your opening sentence I do understand your point, but I don't necessarily agree with it, not in this case anyway. The OP seemed to be articulate (moreso than some of the Americans who post here) and he seemed to have enough intelligence to indicate that he didn't think the US was still living in the 19th century. How do you know this company does the Benellis? I didn't see it on their site. Just asking.

gwnga, The crio tubes are sized per industry standards. The five tube crio set includes the following sizes. Cylinder (.729), improved cylinder (.719), modified (.709), improved modified (.704) and full (.694).

I shot my 26" SBEII today with hevi-shot 4's and Federal 5's. Both grouped best at 30 yards with the factory improved cylinder tube; over Patternmaster, & factory modified. You need to try different chokes and different loads in YOUR gun to determine best results. Guns and chokes vary, even if they are the same make and model. This was just discussed the other day. http://www.benelliusa.com/forums/ultimatebb.php/topic/1/1490.html#000001

I believe they are set with loctite and require heating for removal. I also heard that freezing works as well.

njs, I just remembered that one of the online auction sites, gunbroker.com, provides links to firearms dealers who can help complete a transaction. They even have an importers/exporters section. It is possible that you could even purchase the gun through the site, use an exporter to have it sent to you, and never have to leave home Main site - http://gunbroker.com Exporters - http://www.gunbroker.com/Support/SupportFAQView.asp?FAQID=1110&NoCount=1 [ 03-13-2005, 09:17 AM: Message edited by: tucker301 ]

treelogger, If you'd read my post you would have seen that a non-resident alien can indeed purchase a gun. They have to purchse through a dealer with an export license, and the dealer must ship the gun directly to the visitor's home country. They cannot take posession in the US, but they can purchase. njs, Find yourself a dealer with export capabilites and you're halfway there.

About 400 rounds through mine this far with no visible signs of wear. Can you post a pic?
-
Awesome! What is it... a LazyBoy?!
-
Mine does the same. Nothing to worry about. Once th trigger is pulled, noise is no longer an issue Good luck this season!

robk, Glad you are pleased with the Nova. Please consider using correct punctuation and capitilaztion in your posts. yourrunonsentenceswithlackofproperstructuremakeitdifficulttoreadandtofollowyourthoughts.

I would STRONGLY recommend not only test firing, but also patterning the shotgun with several different load/choke combinations. Can you describe the rattle in a bit more detail? Do you mean the silver thing to be the bolt head? How are you shaking the gun? I can rapidly move mine up and down and the bolt will rattle. This is because it is an inertia system. This would not be a typical movement encountered in a hunting situation. Look at your manuals. Which part is loose?
-
Excellent point. Doing it in the 93 pattern will insure that it matches the factory tapped guns and can only increase its trade-in or resale value.

The way I see it, ultimately, I won't need cash to make my FINAL destination anyway.
