  1. I don't suppose there's any hope of a semi-auto O/U? .
  2. The Clock is Ticking—The Revolution Begins MARCH 31, 2009! ACCOKEEK, MD (March 23, 2009) –– The launch of the groundbreaking Benelli Vinci is quickly approaching. Bookmark The Benelli Security Portal and watch as time races toward the much-anticipated Vinci unveiling at 12 Noon (EDST) on March 31, 2009. Details of this revolutionary shotgun remain cased, but we can assure you it’s worth the wait. The Vinci follows in the Benelli tradition of leading the field in firearms technology with extraordinary advances in gun design and function. These milestones include: • Inertia Driven® Operating System (1967) — World’s most reliable semi-automatic operating system. • Rotating Bolt Head (1983) — A stronger more secure steel-to-steel lock-up system for shotguns. • Super Black Eagle (1984) — The original 3 1/2-inch Magnum semi-auto shotgun. • Nova Pump (1998) — The first integral, steel reinforced, injection molded polymer receiver and stock. • USMC M4 (2000) — A.R.G.O.® The choice of the U.S. Marine Corps for a semi-automatic shotgun. • ComforTech™ (2004) — An integral system that reduces recoil and muzzle climb with no added weight. • Crio System® (2004) — Cryogenic treatment of barrel and chokes for uniform patterns and cleaner shooting. • Ultra Light® (2006) — World’s lightest 12-gauge (6 lbs.) and 20-gauge (5.2 lbs) semi-automatic shotguns. “I recently watched the Vinci’s outstanding performance in the fields of Cordoba, the greatest shooting and endurance test any shotgun will ever face,” said Stephen McKelvain, Benelli's VP of Marketing & Communications. “Benelli has done it again, the Vinci is the most exciting and anticipated new product in the industry today. You don’t want to miss this epic launch, so be sure to follow the countdown at http://www.benelliusa.com/vinci/ and be there on March 31st!”
  3. That seemed to stand out to me. Vinci is a town and commune of Firenze province in the Italian region of Tuscany. The birthplace of Renaissance genius Leonardo da Vinci lies just outside the town. That's why I've been teasing about it being an O/U, simply because it just sounds too... I don't know, what's the word... elegant? to be a semi-auto. Da Vinci was a painter, not a brawler... .
  4. I only see where the ad says hunting "shotgun", not semi-auto. See, that right there tells you it's an O/U or an SxS... .
  5. Wait... so an O/U or SxS is definitely out then? .
  6. Normally I would say to go to shotgunworld.com and ask in their Beretta forum but they appear to be down right now. .
  7. That's not funny. That would truly suck. I'm still holding out for an awesome O/U. Mabye even a SxS - I don't have one of those yet so I'd have a reason to buy it. .
  8. You can't count Tucker as a Northerner... maybe an Easterner. .

What the freak is that? Binary?
  10. Dude... I think that's a dude! .
  11. I think we need to get with Monte and do some quail hunting. Or maybe some turkey hunting. Or maybe some duck hunting. Or maybe... ok, ok, whatever hunting - I just need to see Texas sometime in my life. I hate to think that there are people out there that think real cowboys come from Texas... .
  12. Too bad no one will be able to use it during snow goose season... Maybe you know Splash? He's from Texas. .
  13. Vault? You have a vault too!!?? Am I too old to be adopted? .
  14. Monte, you gonna confirm this or WHAT? I need to make sure my Sweet 16 is SAFE!! .
  15. HAHAHAHAHAHahahahahahaha That was actually funny.
  16. Well, not exactly. I too own an Extrema 2, and I believe it says right in the owners manual that they suggest to break the gun in with a couple boxes of "heavy" loads. I did just that. I put two boxes of 3-1/2" loads through the gun before doing anything else with it. Was it necessary? I don't know, but that's what the instructions said to do, so I did it. I've had no issues with my Beretta. You know, I didn't like that safety placement at first either, and then I started to notice that it was just as natural, if not even more so, to pull your finger back to the trigger rather than moving it forward as most are used to. I think it's just a matter of it always having been that way and so now that there is something different we aren't sure about it. It hasn't affected my shooting at all - in fact, I'm still as lousy of a shot as I ever was. Definitely takes a bit longer to clean than the SBE 2. This isn't exactly a fair statement as after all, this is the Benelli forum, and so of course you are going to read more about guys having issues with their SBE 2's because this is where they would come to ask about it. Considering that, the numbers are going to be skewed because guys aren't coming here to ask why their Beretta Extrema 2 isn't working right. Right? Don't get me wrong - I love my Extrema. Very easy on the shoulder with the Kick Off system. Great gun and I have never been sorry that I bought it. I do however wish it felt like the SBE 2 because that gun just feels like it swings better to me. .
  17. Turkey hunting has been a blast the last few years, but I have yet to actually kill a turkey. Last spring was a lot of fun. Me and two other guys went and spent four days hunting them in a place we'd never been. We got so see turkeys, but never got close enough to take a shot at any, and the couple that did come in close enough were hens. We saw some beautiful country. I got to see my first wolf. I got to see my first quail. I got to see my first Cinnamon Teal. It was an awesome trip even though I wasn't able to get a nice gobbler. Man, is that what hunting is about, or what? Enjoying it completely, regardless of whether or not you actually fill your tag. Love it. .

    Splash

That made me laugh, I don't know why... And I'm not afraid to admit that I shop at WALMART!!! .
  19. I have one! But it's not a Benelli. So if Benelli makes one then I can look at buying another Benelli!! .
  20. Hahahaha. Ok, but how much will that cost??
