Trips offshore will also take you for "meat", dolphin or trolling for smaller tuna. Nothing like a fresh grilled tuna steak or fresh fried dolphin that you reeled in. Last trip out we boated a 500 and a 250 marlin and a cooler full of dolphin. The deck hand filleted out the dolphin for about $30 in tips. Weird offshore note that fits the forum, captain of the last boat said he had taken a guy out to shoot fying fish (no joke) said he was shooting them like skeets...not sure how to feel about that...its just weird.

Hey Carolina boys! There is a gun auction in Edenton fri nite. Have a list of guns to be sold. I am in NE Currituck Co. There is a field across the street from me that geese stop in once a year... acres and acres of geese, no water just a huge field, never seen anything like it.

Not popular around here, but I must defend my Mossberg. My 500 has had more rounds than I care to count thru it without a hitch. Have been very pleased with its performance and operation. My 2 cents Also have been very happy with my NOVA, no problems at all.

Went to my friendly local bass pro shops store last night looking at the new S&W .460s. I asked the friendly clerk if they ever got any benelli m4s in. I was promptly told by not one but two (count em 1,2) clerks in the gun dept, standing between me and the novas and sbeIIs that benelli DOES NOT MAKE an m4. But they DO MAKE an m2, if thats what I meant. I said "Oh, thank you, I must be confused then, I appreciate your help" and left... What a wonderful place to shop (insert sarcasm here) I cant wait to go back.

Thx for the reply. I'll just say that I dont claim to know anyones reasons for anything that they do. For all I know the ducks threatened your family. I was sincerely hoping that this was not a kill for kills sake sport, such as in the "Exploding Varments" videos. I am not a tree hugger nor am I here to pass judgement on others (except maybe PETA, they get on my nerves). Was truley interested in the motives of the duck hunt. Having said that, what about dove, are they big enough to eat? Have seen articles/ads in shooting mags where people have killed dozens in a day. I have been told that my grandfather used to dove hunt, but never heard of him eating them. WOW! My boss just handed me a cooler with a deer ham in it! What a good start to a day! Happy blastin!

OK going out on a limb here. Will start by saying I am not a hunter, no one in my close family hunts and I dont have any friends that hunt. Here we go. Are these ducks edible? If so: How big a freezer do you guys have? Is there problem with eating around shot? How many freakin recipies do you have for duck? If they are not edible: What do you do with a dead duck/a lot of dead ducks? thx all

I saw a set-up like this on tv, ths shells should be upside down tho, pull them out of the bottom and they are right there ready to be inserted. The guy said it cut several seconds off his time...this also allowed him to put the but of the gun on its side on top of his shoulder so it was at ready as soon as he was done reloading, i think he had 10 in a soft holder strapped the same way. was a very fast method of reloading, ( i belive he was SWAT) its good looking too

Yeah, I paid $320 for my nova with the 26 in brl. Classic case of love at first sight, it looked awsome and felt better, had to have it.

Sorry SgtCathy, the benelli mudhen is very much a MANS gun, 10 ga, extra long barrels and stocks to compensate for any "shortcomings", will kick like a mule and the poo camo will be scratch and sniff. i love this place thanks all

Yeah, some people get carried away. The one I go to the most is at a local ruritans club, very friendly group of people. Have a 32 in brrl limit and have only seen 1 guy there with a scope so far. Its a good way to spend a cold saturday, around a fire, shooting, and bringing home a turkey you dont have to pluck. Ron White said " I dont have anything against hunting, its just that its early in the morning, its cold out, and I dont wanna go."
