do not use the one i have!! only point my gun at stuff thats in need of lead or some other form of projectile!! get yourself a glove that has the palm cut where ya can use a smaller inner glove to trip safety off and then just push glove back on!! you can find them at a lotta different retailers or on net!! or just mod that one fingertip?? probably cheaper than trying a gunsmith job?? i have some of these but they are made by other companies but these will keep ya nice and warm and work good as a shoulder pad when breaking in with heavy loads if ya have a little duck tape!http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=null-cat601367&id=0022258932048a&navCount=0&podId=0022258&parentId=cat601367&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=7IS&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat601367&cmCat=netcon&cm_ven=netcon&cm_cat=N/A&cm_pla=N/A&cm_ite=netcon&hasJS=true or these http://www.outdoorsupply.com/quietwea.htm

surprised they have any left !! 3.00 a box off is better than nothing!!
-
Money not too big of an issue with me anyway and yes i will be happy when i bag that Colorado Gobbler, but i feel the choke has only a small part in the equation though it be an important one , putting that well placed shot in the correct place will allways help and the SBEII will reach out and touch one!! Friend killed one with a berreta 12 Ga 3" at 75yds with hevi-shot couple years ago, 25 lbs surprised he could walk he was so big. He also killed a Colrado Bobcat that was HUGE and is getting them mounted together as if the bobcat was lunging after the turkey as he was starting to fly!! should turn out nice!!
-
Smart decision, just hope you are 10% smarter than an Italian shotgun and leave the operator errors to someone else!! You will be happy as a pig in a blanket as long as you can read manual and call Benelli C/S if this forum can't keep the hulls flying!!
-
The Jelly head promotes itself by its patterns thru the SBE II and like i said there is no place in ABQ that sells the Hevi-Shot # 6912 JH Tube and me having more $$$ than brains just squeezed the trigger and 7 days later tube in hand and we were both happy until you mentioned i got took!! I could have done the google PN search a couple weeks earlier but i am sceptical about companies i know nothing about and my Credit Card # even if Visa makes it all good if a problem occurs !

Do yourself a favor and junk the remoil!! too many quality lubricants to be using that stuff!! Great post and seems that a gun that needs less cleaning than others gets cleaned!! never hurts to start with a good cleaning and lube, just depends how its done and how thorough you are when ya do do it!! good info!!
-
Looks like a couple well penetrated Gobblers , did you have them stand in front of a plywood pattern board prior to penetration?
-
Do not use plywood as a target backer? plywood happens to be some dense material and hardly feel it could be used as a benchmark for penetration? but it's basically whatever you feel works best for you, i feel that any hev-shot is better than any lead product but using plywood for a penetration test? turkeys kneck is not quite as hard as plywood so how could this be compared to a non kill?

So ya talking about Bob's in Hot Springs? I am originally from Camden, Ar and used to go to a gun shope in Magnolia Ar that moved to Benton Ar in the early 70's and has probably since closed. The Gun shops name was Olives, they had a indoor gun range downstairs in Magnolia shop and that was nice if ya wanted to check out before ya bought!!
-
yep i saw that but just a couple weeks too late!! hehe!! my luck is as usuall !! no luck!! like i said thanks for info and iwill Pull my Head up for air soon!! LOL!!
-
Every place i have went to did not even carry this choke tube and i ordered it from their website and just lucky they had one since season is on us!! So who has them for 40 bucks? https://shop.primos.com/pc-851-78-jelly-head-choke-tube-12-ga-benelli-sbe-ii.aspx yea i probably paid a little too much but its all good!!
-
I just purchased from primos.com an item #6912 SBEII .660 Jelly Head and cost me 62.00 +S&H. The winchester Supreme Elite Extended Range shells is where the $$$ cost comes to play but once ya shoot one versus a 1.00 shell you will know why they charge so much!! Literally destroys targets in comparrison to lead shells!! ya just can't shoot steel thru them!!

http://home.insightbb.com/~bspen/fit.html This article goes into gun fitting a bit and nothing to confuse your self with. It just explains a lotta the terms used in fitting a gun and hope it helps! Should make adjusting mean more to ya since you will have read what each measurment was for!
-
Gunsmiths work wonders installing limbsavers or just put a slip on type on it ? Thats why it has a pistol grip to hold on to it. ya probably gonna have to use a grind to fit which most gunsmiths will do for small price or get yourself a shoulder pad?
-
try the WInchester Supreme Elite Extended Range Turkey #6's also 3$ a pop but it shredds the target!! can only buy on line as far as i know and box of 10= 30.00+S&H but worth every penny!! what you are shooting is like night and day difference!! MOst place are sold out buy i think BASS PRO has a few, people but this stuff months before season for a reason!! I just got my primos JH about a week ago and have not patterned yet but i did adjust my shims and need to bust a few!! For 12 GA they have 3 1/2" STXS12L6 and 3" STXS1236 either will work pretty darn good! http://www.winchester.com will get ya into the correct box! click on shotshell then middle of page Supreme Elite Extended Range Turkey's
-
I think what comes in the box depends when it was closed, if it was after VINO TIME!! you probably have your answer for not getting any manuals, chokes or lube!!
-
I just attached a red pointer laser to under side of barrel with black rubber bands, it cost about 20 bucks at staples and i have worked grave shift so long the laser will do the job for me and it means a smaller target for someone to shoot at when shooting at me!! is that a mag light ya got there? i guess it's one of the cheaper methods of illumination!!
-
Loctite works wonders just get the correct color, seems their are some aftermarket ones available just seach this form using sights as your search word and you will be in biddness. Lotta M4 questions and answers but they are everywhere!! Good luck!!
-
Ok!! interested to see how it patterns with home grown fix, good luck!!

http://gunshowonthenet.com/Gun_Manuals/Gun_Manuals6/Stoeger%20M2000.pdf as far as modifying your shotgun that would probably be up to you and Stoeger, i did not see any shims listed in your manual if you do have the M2000! I would find a good smith and get his opinion before i drilled something but sounds like you know what ya need! you have to raise stock to raise POI!! So how will this shim work by drilling a hole and you will need to use a corresponding metal backer plate to keep from warpping your rod i think? That's what benelli says in their manuals for shim adjusting!!
-
Which gun are you asking about, and why would you need to order a shim? did ya buy a used gun? No manual? just a little help would be helpful!! If your shooting a benelli it goes like this POI Low raise stock, POI high lower stock, by using the correct shim and it is not that hard to figure out how this is done if you have a manual. Only takes about 10 minutes to adjust but then ya gotta take it and pattern it again, Also make sure you have your butt stock as level against the shoulder as possible not heel up or heel down! ya need to shoulder it the same or as close to same as possible very time ya shoulder it! follow all cautions and warnings but do not be shy about this simple adjustment. When we find out which gun you are speaking about it will be easier to answer your question especially if it's not a benelli!!
-
rit would be easy being you if "SHE" was extremely involved in process, guns are your's once ya purchase and hard to return if not impossible, but if it's a present and she does not like it make sure you do before ya buy which ever!! never can have too many Benelli's if she does not like it!! 20 Ga Cordoba only comes in synthetic, M2 comes in several cammo patterns but i read that the Cordoba is supposed to be a faster claygun? but all around great gun!! shoots 2 3/4 & 3" shells !! i was looking in online 07 catalog! Cordoba 20 Ga also comes with crio chokes and i guess the crio barell and it did not say if M2 had crio barell but i do not think so cause it only list non crio choke tubes on accessories page ? Cordoba also has 4+1 mag Capacity but 28" barrell is the shortest the 20 Ga comes in but i feel the 28" barell would be good if she is going to use for duck and waterfowl, just a preferrence to her the way she handles a 28 " barrel!! 20 Ga should not be that heavy of a gun anyway prob less than 6.5 lbs!! M2 not sure on how it would handle shooting waterfowl? never mind i watched online video and they were wearing the geese & turkeys out with it!! actually the super sport is a pretty gun for just a tad more$$ i like the loks of the carbon/composite!! C/S told me this AM 20th that the M2 for some reason was shipping with non crio choke tubes? i asked was it a crio barrel and got no answer but i am sure it is, she said now they are shipping crio chokes with it!
-
what did you expect it to do at 20 yds? ER Win is some mean stuff and it will do the same paper destroying out to 50+ yds , if thats too tight just use a full choke with it for closer shots! or aim lower with jelly head!
-
According to customer service which answered my email in 20 minutes the Optima choke system chokes fit the M3
-
it is easily confusing and to make it easier i hope this does not confuse us anymore but if your POI is high lower stock, if POI is low raise the stock ,now look in your manual and see which will raise your POI cause your gun is shooting low!!63.5 is lower than 59 and thats the way ya wanta go to raise the stock just like manual says "B" shim which a lower downward adjustment!! poi high lower stock , poi low raise stock , whats hard about that!! it just says it in an awkward way in manual but you want your stock to go UP if you are shooting low!!
