SBE online Catalog thinks so also! FIG 52 & 53:) CS ?

For the price of the new barrel/forearrm i would call C/S and get their take! could save some money due to bad info?

Only problem with people claiming their tubes are better than everyone elses is that untill ya pattern an individual choke to your shotgun you have an unknown! Being every shotgun will pattern a single choke differntly, you can have 3 SBEII's setting on table and use same choke on all 3 and end up with different patterns on all 3! Ya also gotta swap ammo thru different tubes to get the best pattern!!The wad stripping is blown outta proportion seems to me because the flutting/porting will do the same function as the strippers, the pattern board will tell you which choke is performing best in any given shotgun and tell which marketing claims are BS!! Pattern board does not BS unless winds blowing really hard and your patterning way out their!! 50+ yds and Albuquerque afternoon winds!!

seems the Stoeger Forum has a chat going about that pistol:) the price here seems reasonable! http://www.cabelas.com/cabelas/en/templates/product/standard-item.jsp?_DARGS=/cabelas/en/common/catalog/item-link.jsp_A&_DAV=perf&id=0012877711459a&navCount=1&podId=0012877&parentId=cat320001&masterpathid=&navAction=push&catalogCode=XG&rid=&parentType=index&indexId=cat320001&hasJS=true

two letters will designate when your shoutguns were made and the letters should be on lt side of reciever in front of trigger guard and you will need a magnifying glass and a good light !!BZ is 2005, CA is 2006, CB is 2007 http://www.berettaweb.com/DL1.htm

http://www.tomknapp.net/store/home.php?cat=35 i think if ya read closely that one of these would work but cactus tactical only showed for the nova and i am not sure if they would work? These specifically state M2:D

Called wing supply and they said that the one on the website had been dicontinued? either way the package should say what it was compatable for and if ya going to shoot cheaper lead only shot, this is what you would use! but the JH shoots everything except steel!
-
This is the setup i have and no problems, the sight i looked said lead only but i see whatyou have said and they say Hevi shot compatable? anyway i feel your tube just does not like your gun and have not heard many people mention patterning this tube? can't remember the sight i read lead only but i will research it thru my history page and see what happened? If the package.website says ok ya should be GTG!! you mentioned tubes that came with gun had no markings? just go to online catalog and they explain it with the slots on the top of the tubes in the manual in the choke section! http://www.wingsupply.com/shop/Scripts/prodViewSKU.asp?SKU=PGCHOKE this is what i saw and if it's a different Part # than the one you have you are GTG!! here is where i would go to figure which choke would be the correct one!! http://www.gameacc.net/

Just rechecked my shim config and it is per page 84 online SBEII manual, shim #7=C shim #6= DX shim both letters facing stock and #4 shim is a CDX shim letters facing butt plate.
-
Some people say trulock make OEM tubes? the pure gold choke tube .670 constriction is a lead only tube! thats why they said no hevi-shot!!
-
The Jelly Head is GTG with hevi-shot or clones ie Winchester XR, just no steel!! hevi shot just claims you get no benefit from using a tighter constriction, have not seen any cautions about gun damadge unless ya use wrong choke tube but i shoot the JH Model 6912 and thats what its made for .660, hevi shot and winchester XR are similar but not same !! call primos for questions 1-800-622-8076 option 4:) Pure Gold does not want you to use it thru their tube and from what i have been reading their tube is not giving you good patterns anyway? different manufacturers require different constrictions vs loads and Primos has no issues with Winchester XR and their .660 tube. the pure gold tube i saw .670 constriction is marked as LEAD only shot!!

Look in your shim package and see which cast shim is in package and that will tell you which is installed but i would take apart cause it's easy to start with and you never know who put the shim in!! manual tells you which shim for right handed and left handed!! corresponding shim should be installed! chances are that the correct shim is installed but ya never know unless ya pull apart and look, only takes 10 minutes!! are ya right eye dominant? If you are right handed i would leave the DX Cast off shim in!
-
You shoot right handed or left handed? thas what the cast shims address. have you been shouldering your gun a different way to address this issue?
-
Hevi-shot is better than lead and winchester xr are maybe just a tad better than hevi-shot, their pellets are round compared to the deformed hevi-shot pellets. XR properties are better just pattern them both and you will have no other questions unless you use a choke that does not like them! Lotta pattern issues will be solved by choke selection and ammo selection is a part of the equation!! Jelly Heads and XR pattern well together and i will not waste anymore money looking for an improvement. Federal seems to have a new HV round that's doing good but pattern several combinations and let the pattern board tell you which one you think is the best!!
-
If you have shoulder problems ya probably bought the wrong gun! For your issue with the recoil reducer i have seen nothing showing a rubber sleeve but i would think a little lite smear of lube would help? no instructions with reducer probably !! 1-301-283-6981 they will be glad to advise if ya still having problems! Does your shotgun have the PG Stock and if so thats going to help a group!!
-
for what it does and the price it's a toss up i would think? websites say 50% improvement but they want your 100.00 bucks and would probably tell you just about what ya wanta hear. I am sure it will help some but will void your warranty probably!
-
i feel you are not the only one that knows of this phenom, but since you have asked so many questions YES you can get longer shots with proper ammo and proper chokes, also depends on your skills which seem to be getting where they need to be. Congrats! Its all inn the choke & ammo and i guess your shim issue/misfire issues have been answered since you have had time to get used to an italian shotgun and its difference vs the 870! Friend in Colorado takes them at that range routinely with hevi shot 3" rounds with his walmart berreta but he had to do his homework just like you!
-
you will not be happy untill you pony up for the correct ammo!! you can shoot that cheaper ammo till they quit making it and it still will not pattern like the expensive ammo!! That is why the charge so much for it cause it is hands down 3 times as good as the cheaper ammo!!
-
have ya moved shims around at all?
-
probably just the geometry of the choke you are using since no 2 chokes will shoot the same pattern! http://www.briley.com/articles/what_chokes.html get some TP and read till ya feel relief and wait for new JH tube!
-
i myself would not buy a used shotgun barrel for obvious reasons, unless i knew the person selling it and then i would have my reservations. http://www.benelliusa.com/firearms/partsAccessoriesBarrels.tpl http://www.impactguns.com/store/benelli_barrels.html http://www.benelli.it/Articoli/Armi.asp?ID=75 Might try some of these hope ya find one!
-
So i take it your SBEII is fixed now? No MO critical failure!
-
That does not sound good but i am not a smith and strongly advise ya talking to one before shooting anything thru that barrel. hard to say whats going on with out looking at it and a good smith would be where i would start. They will have correct tools and equipment to see if threads in barrel are damadged or not. Is it aftermarket choke that will not thread and get tight? All chokes should tighten and bottom out and what you are explaining is most definetly a accident waiting to happen !! good luck! where did the barrel that will not tighten come from?
-
No prob have fun and stay cool!! way too hot for me!! the last place said in stock? but ya gotta expect most guys to have just sold their last pair just before you called!! Good Luck and enjoy FS hope your departments picking up that tab!!
