It's kind of funny, but you could ask 10 ATF agents the same question and get 10 different answers. The only way that ATF is allowing the Benelli's into the good ol USA, is they are listed as sporting shotguns. If you modify them the wrong way, then you are in violation of Federal Law. Thats pretty much it, short and sweet.

Yes you are not violating any laws. Now don't put a telescoping stock on it, then you will be violating 922®. Someone asked the qustion about where is that in writting from BATFE. You would have to look it up, but if you register your Benelli M4 as a SBS, then 922® does not apply, so you can put anything on it that you want, except full auto. Hope that helps.

You can have one or the other as far as I know. If you add the 2 shot extension, then you have to have a standard stock. If you put on the telescoping stock, then you have to leave it for 5 rounds only. Another way around this, is register it on a ATF form 1 and then you can make it a SBS or do anything else you want. I am trying to find the barrels and it should be soon from what I am hearing. The company with the link is asking 1900.00 for the 14" complete M4. Impact guns has them listed for 1600.00, but they say they are excepting orders, but out of stock.

If you look around, you should be able to find the Benelli 11707 for 1299.00. That's the price around WA State.

If you read further down, it says out of stock, excepting orders. Nobody has the M4 SBS complete guns or just the barrels in stock. Who knows when they will.

I haven't shot my M4 until I can make sure that doesn't happen. However on my M1 S-90, the ejection port is all scared up from the ejected shells. Someone mentioned putting some black tape on the ejection area and it should help.

Put a little wonder tape (Velcro) on it and you are good to go.
