  1. Caligvla if you want to try a different mount I have one the Insight Technology mounts. It's setup to mount any pistol type light, such as, M3, M3X, M6 type lights. I'll give you the mount u can just pay for the shipping to whereever u want it.
  2. When I first bought my M4 I tried some Win Ranger 00BK and some Win Ranger slugs I think they were both low recoil rounds and it wouldnt shoot them at all. It would fire but would fail to push the bolt back far enough to load the next round. At the time the Benelli was NIB and that was the first time I had shot it. Now, 2500 rounds later it will usually shoot whatever I put in it. If I recall correctly I think Benelli will tell you to use a minimum 1 1/8 oz Shot to cycle the action reliably. I'm pretty sure the Federal cheap 100rd value pack stuff from Wal-Mart is 1 1/8 oz shot. I just shot a whole case of Estate 2 3/4, 1 oz shot #8 and it ran just fine. So I guess once you have several 100 rounds through the gun and its broken in you should be good to go.
  3. Your standard LE round is usually 2 ¾" 00BK 9 pellet. That is load I generally use in Hornady TAP red hull. I do also run the Federal Flitecontrol 2 ¾" 00BK 8 or 9pellet depending on where I can get and whats available at the time. Both shoot the same from I have shot of them. I fired Federal flitecontrol 00BK 9pellet at 25yds into a solid piece of cardboard out of a Benelli M4 and the wad was stuck in the cardboard no pellets on the target at all. The reason I've run the Hornady is because I've been able to load more rounds in the tube. The Tap is just a tad smaller than the Federal loads. Sometimes I can fit the same in Federal as not all their hulls are to spec. I've also heard some people say to run the 8 pellet as when compared to the 9 pellet you always tend to get 1 pellet that strays away from the group. Now is it way off, I doubt it. It's more of a personal choice to what load you decide to use and also depends on where you are going to be using it inside or outside! I'd ask the guy who sold you the gun and see what kind of input he could give you on this stuff!
  4. So this ACOG 6x48 came in the shop today and it's friggin huge. Thought it might look cool on the Benelli M4. This thread was a joke, not foreal. No worries on me trying to shoot slugs at 600yds with a shotgun. Although, it is a Benelli. Can't say it can't be done. LOL
  5. Where did you get those at? Do they make a Breacher style for the Benelli M4 that screws in with the choke like the on pictured? About how much are they in US DOLLAR? Anyway i can get one or get one shipped to the US?
  6. $22.00 not a bad price, **** I gave mine away after trying to hold the bolt back with that thing and float a round on the carrier the Bolt handle came right out and the bolt came right down on my fingers. KEEP THE STOCK ONE
  7. It stayed on there fine for the first 2,000 rounds, i guess too much recoil and cheap azz screws. Because the factory screws stay in just fine, guess thats what happens when u modify stuff with aftermarket parts.
  8. I generally use Federal Heavy Field load #4 product code H125-4 for 3 gun matches because it will knock the steel down easier at longer distances. The cheapest stuff i have found to cycle everytime is Estate 12 ga. 2¾" 1oz 7.5 shot, i dont recall the Dram Eq. right now, but will let you know, i think it's 3¼ dram. It shoots great and its like $4.00 box of 25 low brass light loads.
  9. Yeah these side saddles are great. I didn't strip the screws when installing them. They began to walk themselves out with blue loctite on them at my last 3 gun match. So i got home and tightened them back up. Only about 2-3 threads actually make it into the receiver and wouldn't tighten any further it would then just spin in the hole. Therefore meaning my receiver is now stripped out. I guess from recoil somehow worked the screws loose. The gun has over 2,000 rounds thru it since the Mesa saddle was installed. So basically now I have only 3 screws holding this thing in. I went out shooting today and got about 75 rounds down the pipe, no problem. On my last box of ammo, middle of shooting about 3 rounds into it, the whole side saddle comes right off. I get home and look at this thing and try putting the screws in without the rail on there and they turn in fine but u can pull them out with your hand. I get my factory rail and screws w/ washers out and hand thread them in without the rail and they go in no problem. Then I install them on the gun with the rail and its rock solid. U can't even pull it off. Sao basically only the first few threads in my receiver are stripped out, since the factory screws go in further past the stripped part. The Mesa rail is taller and uses longer screws but they dont make enough contact with the M4 receiver. Mesa recommended installing Helicoils and having the receiver retapped, but does anyone know someone that can accomplish this, or should I just leave the facory one on there? PICS!
  10. I used a Surefire 6P with a Vltor mount and added a shock isolated bezel. Im considering trying out the new drop in LED to see how it works.
  11. The rail system is a Surefire M80 rail and you should be able to find them just about anywhere or at www.surefire.com The tube is a full length made by SOCOMguy.
  12. Has anyone tried this stuff before or heard of it. Midwayusa sent me an email on this stuff. I have never seen it before nor know anything about but Im most likely going to buy a few boxes and try it out. Info from midway: Military production overrun features an O.D. green HS hull and high base black anodized head. This high performance load packs nine 00 buckshot in Grex Buffering. http://www.midwayusa.com/eproductpage.exe/showproduct?saleitemid=857119&t=11082005
  13. If u have the standard stock version of the Super Nova all u have to do is take the trigger pins out and the trigger group will come out. If you have the Super Nova Pistol Grip stock just pull the rubber butt pad off the stock then take the bolt out of the stock and it will come off, remove the trigger pins the trigger group will pop right out. slide the bolt to the rear, depress the bolt inside the carrier it will lift out and the action bars will be free and the forend will slide off the mag tube. Take a small punch and push the plastic inserts out of the top of the receiver from the inside. Place the Mesa Side Saddle on top and use the 4 screws and blue loctite that is supplied with the kit. As for my gun the 6 rd saddle is coming off and im getting the 4rd saddle instead. Went out shooting again today and its just not going to work for me, i hold too far back on the forend it smacks me every time.
  14. I finally got me a another side saddle today on my supernova to match my M4. These things are great but since Im so used to the M4, no matter how I manage to hold the forend my hand keeps slamming into the shells. Not a real major issue since the Super Nova is my secondary weapon if the M4 ever stops shooting, which is likely never!
  15. www.brownells.com sells the M4 SYN PG stock for $180.00 and the Numrich company already mentioned has just about everything for the M4, but a little pricey.
  16. Nice looking pics, I noticed you said you changed your sights on the ghost rings to tritium. My sights that came on my M4 aren't tritium but they do glow in the dark when illuminated from my surefire in the dark. I wasn't sure if anyone else has noticed their M4 ghost rings doing the same thing. Here is another option for you instead of running an Eotech on your gun and having to hold your head higher off the stock. The new Aimpoint Micro T-1 is alot better but way expensive for what it is. Here are some pics.
  17. Acetone is the key to getting the plastic wad residue removed. I cleaned my barrel for about an hour to get it all out and about half the time was spent on the choke alone scraping it off.
  18. Floating a round on the carrier is the best way to keep your gun cruiser ready as they call it on a pump gun. Load 7 in the tube and float one on the carrier, then just pick up your gun and rack the bolt handle and your loaded to max capacity. Unless you choose to leave your shotgun loaded with an additional round in the chamber for 7 + 1 + 1
  19. I've shot over 1,000 rounds though mine and finally decided to clean it. I noticed the rubber on the inside was somewhat melted and stuck on the mag tube and the tubes the pistons sit inside. It took me a while to scrape it off, but the M80 rail doesn't seem to be damaged at all. Ive never had any failures from the rail, other than all the little screws that hold the rubber to the rail popping out on me, it seems to be great.
  20. I had the same problem when I got mine. I changed the mag tube spring with a brand new one and had the same problem. Certain types of 2 3/4 inch shells are made different than others are. You mentioned Buck shot, if you look at how S&B buckshot and Wolf are made they use a cap instead of a crimp to keep the shot in. That little bit makes all the difference when loading more and more rounds in the tube. Also try leaving your mag tube loaded to max capacity for a while to see if the spring will compress down more. When I first got my M4 I tried just about every type of buckshot I could find to see what patterned the best and what rounds I could fit more of in the tube. My preference is the Federal Flight Control Wad 9pellet 00 Buckshot, but I could only get 6 in the tube, so I opted for the Black box Hornady TAP 00 Buckshot.
  21. I see that on the list you enclosed it states the gas pistons as two separate items, while it's obvious they are two separate pieces can they really clarify that as 2 parts. Obviously the gun cant run on just one, so why no include both as one part.
  22. I'll take the hammer as well, and any other parts you can think of that would be easy to manufacture, maybe a trigger as well.
  23. I remeber seeing the list of how many parts that are required to make the M4 922r compliant, but don't remember exactly how many there are on the ATF up to date list. If you change, the handguards, mag tube, follower, and now pistons on the hammer...Will that make it legal?
  24. Count me in for as many US made parts as possible, start cranking them out as fast as possbile.
