  1. I have one of each ( one camo, 2 black). The black seems to hold up better but you don't have to worry about rust as much with the camo.
  2. Kinda weird Comes in #4 and #1 buck 11 pellet, 7/8's slug, and 5/8oz 7 1/2 shot. They are 1 3/4 inch.
  3. There is nothing wrong with cheaper slugs. My father-in-law has been killing deer with the 1.99 5 pack winchester slugs all his life. Its what shoots best in your gun that makes the differance.
  4. They are 2 very different guns so they are so hard the campare. If it was me I would use the 1100 for clays and dove and the nova for all the dirty hunting.
  5. Sounds like you have a great free gun. The big story is that everyone needs more than 2 3/4 inch shells. There wrong. The truth is that you can take all shotgun game with 2 3/4 shells. Is it nice to have more pellets. Yes. But if you stay with what you say your going to do with it, You will do just fine.
  6. I love them. There nice to run through the barrel before you come home from the range.
  7. Good for you man. 1000 bucks seems like a great deal. I don't know if I could part with my first Nova. The other 2, most likely.
  8. Congrats, I'm in the market for an m2 20 gauge. Someday.
  9. If its a Monty, it will say it on the reciever. Its what it says. Its a old model Benelli.
  10. +1 I forgot to mention that.
  11. This will help you figure out where you are going and where you need to go.
  12. It will be very hard to find factory Benelli chokes. Thats the main advantage with going to aftermarket. There everywhere. I have no experance with Trulock chokes, but I hear they are good. Carlson chokes www.choketube.com , and Briley www.Briley.com are some good choices as well. Here is a chart to see what choke type you need. http://www.choketube.com/guide.html Both choke companys are backed by a lifetime Warranty. If you buy 3 or more chokes through Carlsons, you get 5 bucks off per choke, free shipping, and a choke tube case.
  13. welcome to the forum!
  14. I would start with the shotgun first, they worry about the deer. If this is your first time shooting a hunting slug, your going to flinch. Flinch will throw off your shot everytime. Start shooting at 10 yards and work back. You want to hit a 6 inch target everytime. 4 inch would be better but 6 is Ok. You will want to try different slugs to get the best group.
  15. I hope they shoot it the right as well.
  16. You should be able to hit 50-75 yards with that gun. You will have to buy different slugs to see which ones work the best for you. All guns and barrels are different.
  17. Until then I'm dreaming:( Illinois has 102 countys. 2 had CC on the ballot.
  18. Do you (New york) have shall issue CC?
  19. Did you buy a rifled slug barrel nova or just a field barrel?
  20. I wish they cut Illinois in half and let chicago do what they want and let the rest of us do what we want..
  21. I agree. unless you reload, 28 gauge is hard to find.

Don't point Benelli at face Don't stick anything in end of Benelli barrel. ( even if your alone.) Don't leave Benelli without oil for more than 10 mins.(It will rust.) Don't plan on shooting Benelli strait. Benelli shoots to high and to far to the left. Don't shoot light target loads though Benelli, They will not cycle. Without the recoil reducer, Benelli kicks way to hard. Shoot only the longest barrel you have or Benelli will not pattern right and you will not be able to shoot long distance. Anything else Tucker?
