  1. Good gun, if you get it spend the extra $$ on the recoil reducer if you're shooting the 3 1/2" shells. It's a light gun and carries a pretty good punch. The reducer adds some weight but is easily removed for lighter loads. Looks like a better duck season in N.C. this year.

I don't think 8 pounds is a light gun but your right with the recoil reducer. It does help with 3 1/2's. I have a limsavers pad my mine to.

  2. I am a new owner of the 12g ultralight and would like to know if anyone has any suggestions on what ammo load I should try for hunting pheasant?

I shoot 1 1/4 4 shot max dram. I don't have dogs so my range could be out to 40-50 yards.

  3. That, sir, is my table-cloth.

    Food where the food goes...

...and no, I don't have pictures of other things where other things go on my bed-sheets. Those are dark navy blue, although my pillow-case is an abstract of light pastels. Nothing fruity looking, just hard to describe. Had the thing for over a decade and I am attatched.

    I would be to.

  4. What are the differences if any, other than the Supernova having Comfort Tech stocks? I have looked at both and didn't notice any readily apparent differences.

    Thank You,

    Bruce

Nova as a one piece stock and reciever. Super nova as a removable stock so you can change from comforttech stock to the pistol grip if you want. Also, the supernova as a bigger tigger guard( which helps if you are wearing gloves.) Last the Comforttech does have the different combs you can interchange and shims for the butt stock. O yeah the super is about 100 more bucks.

  5. Hrmmm...would installing a magazine limiter be a way to get around 922r when one felt like it?

Why would you plug a extended mag.? Why would you(your friend) want more (without plug) and use less (plug) when you would need it. I have a hard time thinking anyway if you can't get them with the 4+1 it came with your not going to get them with the next 5 you added.

  6. I like to shoot skeet with a "Skeet" or "Cylinder" choke;

    Trap with "Light Full"

This will vary depending on where you're preferred break points are; the closer the bird the more open the choke and vice-versa.

It will make a differance if you gun in backbored or do to. I shoot full for Trap. If you have a backbored gun and improved modified will be a same as a full. For Skeet I shoot improved cylinder. If you have skeet or cylinder like Banjo said use it. I shoot IC because thats what I have.

Cylinder choke ( which I think you said you were shooting an M4) is a bad idea in trap. You could have been dead on and missed the bird. At 16 yards an IC choke will work (if your fast) but I would go with a modified or improved modified at 16 yards. 20 yards or more go with a improved modified of full.

  7. From what I've been able to tell, the physics of actual recoil have little to do with felt recoil. I know a woman who thought the M2 had horrible recoil, but that the UL had little to none with the same shells. I've heard similar stories from men & women with a variety of guns; but most often from other women.

The m2 that the "lady'' shot might not have fit her as well as the UL. That will have a big differance on the recoil she was recieving. I think the UL and the M2 are the same on the inside so I don't know why recoil would be more in the m2 than the UL. If she shot the M2 first then the UL. The UL might be "less recoil" because she might have been used to the recoil in the first place.

I've just heard the UL has more recoil than others due to the light weight and its inertia driven. The recoil of the gun is the same. Its doesn't matter there is an 80 pound kid or a 220 pound adult. They handle the recoil different but not the gun.
