  1. I was looking into buying an o/u for skeet shooting but found nothing I liked in my price range. Then I came across Benelli. I always thought they were to expensive until I looked at their website and found the Nova and Supernova. My question is should I buy a 12 gauge or 20 gauge. Like I said it will mainly be used for skeet shooting, and possibly turkey hunting. I only weigh in at 155 pounds. I have a Remington Model 870 20 gauge already. I'll probably put anywhere from 50-100 rounds through it at a time.

If your looking to burn some money then the Novas are great guns.

Your 870 will do just as good as a nova in skeet. Turkey hunting you might want to jump up to a 12 gauge.

    I have 2 Novas (1 12 gauge, 1 20 gauge) and a Supernova turkey. Love them all.

  2. These are the first two problems I've heard with the Supernova's. THAT SUCKS!!! Novas and Supernovas are tanks in my experiance and in others. Sorry to here about your guys problems. I agree that any gun should have that problem. Good luck and let us know what you do.

  3. The IC choke i'm using now seems to be the best "all around fit" for all of the upland game and waterfowl hunting I do and the C would be for deer hunting.

You can use IC for both. I use IC and Modifed more then cylinder .

  4. i looking for a 20 gauge ultralight shotgun for left-handed shooter. Your company going to ever make a left-handed ultralight 20 gauge. I would appreciated your thinking on this matter. `i should would like to see your company make ultralight 20 gauge shotgun for left-handed shooter's.

    Sincerely,

  5. Guys THANK YOU ALL. What an amazing forum this is. Where was this forum when I bought my Stoger in 12ga. :p

To add more confusion to this. I have another choice too the M2 Field in 20 Guage which is around 5.8 lbs.

So now my choices are in 20 guage :

    1) Ultralight

    2) Montefeltro

    3) M2

Please advise me guys. The M2 seems to have nice reviews? Would be really nice to find someone who owns any of the above or all. :)

    Let me know.

    P

I don't know much about any of them but the UL is a bit more than the M2 and the M2 is a bit more than the Monty.

  6. i wish you could go dove hunting with me. not bragging, but i enillate birds w/ wally world ammo. my friends hate to go hunting with me. i limit out in less than an hour if the birds are flying.

All I shoot is walmart ammo. I shoot 15 dove in a hour with about a box of shells. I'm not saying there bad, I'm saying there different.

  7. Were can I get a Benelli model like his, I have been to the Benelli web page and I just cant find anything like it unless he took a M2 hunting version and remodled the whole thing to his likings?

So you all know what im looking for is a 3-Gun Benelli shotgun. I have never owned a Benelli and I dont know a dang thing about them.

Here is another shotgun that I wish I could have this is the perfect model im looking for.

Well this is just great, it wont let me post a link to the pic I wanted to show...

    Thanks

ask him yourself www.tomknapp.net P.S. Its a stock M2 with a easy hit fiberoptic, a ex. mag tube, and a carlsons choke.

  8. A 20 gauge slug is about the same as a 454 casul. I haven't met anyone yet that hasn't dropped what they where shoot at with the 454. 20 gauge wouldn't be any different. My uncle has shot 50+ deer in his day with his 20. He always ended up with meat on the table.

I find myself grabbing my 20 gauge Nova more and more when I go out. I'm think of taking it out turkey hunting this spring.

  9. if you shoot federal, remington, or winchester ammo, what difference does it make what store it came out of?? :D

Walmart ammo is different than other stores. Walmart has contracts with them to produce cheaper ammo. Less uniform lead, "dirty powder" and less dram is some of the differances you will see.
