Can only slug hunt where we hunt (Southern Minnesota). Please anyone let me know what slugs you have had luck with. Mine suck ***.

Where i hunt white tail, a 50 yard shot is almost out of the question. There are hardly any spots to be able to shoot that far. I heard Brenneke makes good slugs, thinking about trying those.

Whatever it came with.

It is not the red dot, My Dad has the same one and it works perfect.

Amen to that. Just had it at the range with slugs today and it was fairly accurate with slugs at up to 45ish yards or so. works with any load that you can think of and you would have to submerge it in gorilla glue to make it not fire. GREAT GUN! It was cheaper than the 870 i was going to buy too.

You can't exactly make a smooth bore with slugs a nail driver can you? If you have had good luck with rifled slugs please tell what length and who makes them, the ones i used seem mediocre at best.

Well, i ran out of slugs to completely finish sighting in. After my last slug which was 2" high 1" left at about 35ish yards, i just did few elevation clicks and windage clicks to adjust for the error. It is the best it is going to get. 50yards out of that thing is pushing it, I wouldn't wanna try shooting a deer with that at 50 yards. 40ish max. Right before hunting i am going to run 2-3 through it to make sure it is holding where i put it. At 35 yards i WILL hit it, just maybe not exactly where i aimed. Gotta have some room for error with a 18.5" smoothbore.

TMAC any more signs of the pupster?

Lanesboro is quite close to where i hunt! It's a small world after all!

To me it is quite amazing how much of an impact a lost pet can have on a family. I had to get rid of one of my dogs and that's when i was a kid, Our whole family was saddened with the loss (had no choice, didn't have the time to take care of him and didn't want to neglect him). I'm not saying you won't get yours back, i bet you will!

Those of you that deer hunt, where do you do so, and what do you use to hunt? Rifle? Shotgun? Knife?

Just use a Cylinder choke and shoot em with slugs .

I don't plan on buying anything on the AR platform. Give me an Ak47. You can throw the things out of a plane in a rainstorm, roll it in the mud, throw it in a pond, **** on it, throw it in a sandpit, and it will still fire. The possibilities are endless!

I use my SuperNova Tactical for all 3.
