You obviously don't understand barrels. Heat-treating will remove roughly 85-95% of the "stress" or maybe more, depending on the barrel/what has been done to it. Cryo removes that other 3-5% or so. With a rifle barrel, this means less walking after things heat up. With a shotgun, it means more even patterns. It is my opinion* that a PROPERLY stress-relieved barrel does not need cryo treating. As far as durability goes, I have read conflicting studies on barrel-life and cryo.

Put my bet down for park and 21"

Where do you live that Wal-Mart is 45+ minutes away?! I WANT TO MOVE THERE! PS. living in a tiny appartment never stopped me from doing anything I wanted to do! It is amusing that I had such well-known antics that when a former roommate had an AD with a 357 SIG noone even reported/called/knocked on the door.

try going to the trulock website.

The OEM follower is superior because it is lighter. This means that inertia and recoil affect it less which lessen the chance of cycling/jamming issues shooting heavy loads. I have tested this. It is fact in my experience. The aftermarket follower used was an aluminum Surecycle.

I am sure you have already sprayed gun-scrubber liberally inside the tube and flushed all the crud out and then re-lubed with CLP spray and it still did not cycle, correct?

Use the 1K*F as stated. Heat this piss out of it, you will not alter the metalurgy of this part in any meaningful way, and being as the spring is to be replaced, it is not considered of consequence.

This can be taken 1 of 2 ways. Someone payed around $1800 for something they are selling for $3,000. They are dicks. -OR- Someone made a smart investement, and is cashing on on what the market will bare. Being as I am not interested in what is for sale, I tend to take the second line. If I were looking to buy, I would be a tad more bitter I guess. I think as long as the seller is honest/does not MISrepresent what is for sale, then all is well, and they should be prepaired to put up with a little flack unless the board they are on has rules against "ad stomping" (which this one doesn't that I am aware of). Some quiet soul with lots of money and a compulsive habit will quietly PM them...or they won't. Either way, what this seller has is "exclusive" enough that bashing or not, he is close to the only game in town, so if we hate on his profit a little, he is no worse for the wear.

Yes, it has gotten more hostile, but I only see this level of hostility when someone is trying to take advantage of the market The OP even knew he would catch **** for it, said so in his first post pretty much. However, if he finds a taker at his price, more power to both of them. Free market IS free market.

Kip is not big industry. He can therefor rapidly and properly respond to market demand

Playing= whatever is on-sale, with a preference for sizes 6-8 because it mulches bushes and other stuff better than the larger sizes. I prefer lead as it has less "bounce-back" potential. Defence 0-25 yards= Winchester XX Supreme 2.75" OO Buck 12-pellet plated/buffered Defence/hunting 25-100 yards=1oz 2.75" Remington Slugger Slugs

*sniff sniff It's not so bad really, I have been waiting for a Sabre Defence AR for roughly half a year. At least I can shoot my M4 without the optic. How long currently on the tubes?

* User name WrItTeN lIkE tHiS * Use of all caps * Attempt at flaunting that comes off instead as a cry for attention/stupidity. This post is full of fail and appears to be that of a petulant child trying to force others to respect/accept him by virtue of supposed buying power/possessions. Visiting your profile netted this little gem, written by yourself, as well: "Come on guys, I know somebody has a M1014 they are willing to part with for a price. Im so pissed at myself because the last one of these I saw and should have bought at the gun show two months ago was NIB for 1350.00. I did not buy it because i was not familiar with it. I don't know if I will ever forgive myself."-YOU Well...maybe you DON'T have all that cool stuff and buying power and infinite wisdom you allude to after all.

+1 *wantrailwantrailwantrail*

Wierd, both of mine ran from the word "go" even with lightweight target loads.
-
I bet he trusts that M4 implicitly as well. IF you gave him the option to go into a firefight with that "beat up old thing" vs. an NIB one, I put $100 on him picking the one in the picture that he has there.

I simply find it amazing how a citizen of a nation that slaughtered as many oppressive troops as it took to rid itself of unfair taxes and religious pressures could say someone "Lacks integrity" because they are passively disreguarding a freedom infringing law (nevermind that it was passed by this same country that killed for it's freedom, the irony disgusts me) that serves no purpose but to limit their capacity (haha) of that person to persue happiness as they see fit, without the harm of others or endangerment of their own persuits. 922R is a joke, similar to "do not tie an alligator to a fire hydrant in Florida" type laws. Even the BATF cannot DEFINTE the rules of 922R. Every letter I see from them has a different "Part Count" for the M4. Pure joke.

My M4 for your endentured servitude and earnings for life? I sold one M4 already. Much sadness resulted. Honestly, used M4's go for about what new ones do in my experience.
-
I would go M1. Lighter. Should swing faster. Anything else, M4.
-
I fit 5+1 with remington sluggers in my M4, but it was BARELY happenin! When Kip finishes with those tubes...

Ummm...right. Those with INTEGRITY follow the LETTER OF THE LAW. That is why I am proud that my ancestors in Germany helped exterminate jews by tricking them into hiding in their attic and alerting the authorities, as the law required. They were following the law to the letter. Doing the RIGHT thing. THey were people of INTEGRITY! ^Not a true statement, although I am German. Do you get the idea though?

I don't see why they would bother you. What is a "true" marksman? Is a child who enjoys hitting coke-bottles with a sling-shot not a true marksman? A teenager with a .22 who hunts squirrels to help feed his family, priding himself in needing 1 bullet only for 1 squirrel? or is a true marksman a Marine with an M40, who must kill people from a half-mile away lest they kill him or his brethren? What is a true marksman?

In all fairness, any time you are shooting a single projectile, "minute adjustments" will be required. The Benelli system is simply different, instead of lining up the dots and putting the target behind the center one, the target IS the center dot, and the dot on the FSP just keeps you from "losing it" in a low-light situation. Not bad, just...different. I am planning on running a T1 micro as soon as Kip gets his new rail on the market.

My advice? Quite frankly? f**k 'em. Unless you are competing against them and doing something unethical based on the rules of the competition, you are just there to have fun. If they want to talk smack because you are honing your skills with your M4 and not a Kreighoff or however you spell it, who cares. Ask one of them: "Dang, I see now what you mean about fit and finish and quality, but, it must really hurt the first scratch you put on it. I bet even that little nick right there *point to something on the Kreig.* would nag the **** out of me on such a fine weapon!" and watch them go all nutty over it. (I did this exact same thing to a guy on an S2000 forum who posted a pic of his new rims. He posted up afterwards that he immediately ran outside to inspect his precious rims, lol, all in good fun though!) As to the RO, some can be picky, but I doubt you will have a problem as long as you are polite to him, safe, and heed the range commands.
