  1. While I appreciate the beauty and craftsmanship, stuff like this just never seemed to do it for me. Beautiful work though!
  2. Have you tried it? If so, which loads, and how far did it seem to lack in cycling? I have wondered about this one as well.
  3. Don't speak with that smith again. That is a good starting point. Find one who will cut it/thread it correctly, etc. for you.
  4. I did not answer your question because I didn't think I had to comment for you and everyone else to know the answer to it. I obviously do not have a 5.5mm wrench or it would have been already sent to the OP before he ordered one. As to the rest of your rant, I will just sit back and laugh, too funny.
  5. I think this is the smallest real (not imaginary or intangible) item that drama has been created over thus far.
  6. Please see the post 2 up. I did not do that job, although I wish I had the talent and with some practice I might could. From what I see, it's pretty easy.
  7. Not mine, dunno.
  8. Other than the fact that they used to shred M4 recievers. THen they flexed them after they fixed the screws And they STILL have the axial cut. And all Mesa says is "yeah...there have been complaints about flexed recievers, just loosen the bolts and use lock-tite". Yeah, total fail in my book. I took mine off and luckily the guy I sold my M4 to bought it from me, even though I explained all my issues with it to him.
  9. IMHO, dipped camo on weapons is junk.If I were in need of a camo weapon, I would do it myself. Even the camo benelli's still on shelves at the fun store show chipping and other defects. I would pass. If you want to camo your own weapon, you can do a lot better than some dipping crap anyways. Here is an example of a "spray painted" camo job. Compare that to any MAX4 or whatever and I think you will find that it blends MUCH better.
  10. Haha, you got ripped man, I will give you $200 for it Awww, I see you are a "noob"... The M1S90 is a VERY good weapon and will last hundreds of thousands of rounds if you do your part in maintaining it. No, I do not exaggerate. This weapon is excellent. Don't hang optics and lights off of it and it will be as reliable as the rise and fall of the sun.
  11. Ship it to someone who has done it before and is confident. When it comes to finding a machinist, quality experience is the only certification I trust.
  12. I think Mesa is crap, personally. Anyways, back on topic... How are you lubing the weapon? You need to lube the trigger group, you need to lube the tracks the BCG slides on, you need to lube the BCG itself, you need to lube the recoil-tube. You do NOT lube the mag-tube or the pistons. I lubed mine heavily with LaRue MG when I got it and proceeded to shoot Remington STS light target loads 5+1+1 rapid-fire with narry an issue the first trip out. Others, who fear the lube, seem to have issues.
  13. You are not familiar with the ID system based on the information you have provided. For clarification, look up a diagram of an ID system and then take your M4's BCG apart. There is no ID system. Remove the pistons and you got nothin'. They don't "assist". They do it all. I only experienced this problem using HEAVY loads with a stock mag spring and extended tube. However, the OP MAY experience this if his stance is crap (not leaning aggressively foreward) and his hold is weak. I don't know the OP, their build, or stance, so I can only hypothesize, if I were to guess, I would assume that the OP is less than 150#, a smaller person, and does not hold a shotgun aggressively. If my assumption is wrong, then I would move foreward to say that maybe you should mic the shells you are using and see if the diameter, etc. is out of spec. Failing that, I would call Benelli USA, describe the problem, and see what they have to say before you fly off the handle.
  14. +1!!! I always hated cheap tools. I am going to invest in a set of NICE small allen wrenches. I got tired of crappy ones rounding off.
  15. Yep, I lucked into one at a good price and am quite pleased, even though I am struggling to whip up the funds for it.
  16. Or Alisske could mail it to you USPS Priority in exchange for a couple of bucks to cover his lunch for his trouble in shipping when you return it to him... I dunno, just an idea. You won't need it but once.
  17. I think your pricing is very fair. If I did not already have an M4, I would have bought it.
  18. That is like asking "Is that paint on your car enamel, or clear-coat?" Either answer you get won't tell you jack. There are so many ways to formulate paint--just as there are synthetic components like rubber or silicone. Look at tires. My tires, you can floor my Trans Am in the rain and they dead-hook. Cheaper tires, they look and feel the same, but spin all over the place. So much formulation goes into this kind of stuff. All that being said, Viton O-rings *SHOULD* be an acceptable replacement, but a $4.50 part for a $1600 shotgun is nothing. Yes its stupid that it costs that, but really, how many do you expect to have to buy? Duggan has been through 12,000 rounds and only messed up one O-ring due to his heavy-handed cleaning methods.
  19. They are also all the same brand. I DID put the gun on a rest this time though, and the POI wasn't so bad. I honestly think I am flinching after 20-30 slugs. It seems to get worse. A shotgun recoils almost a full 1/2 inch while the slug is still in the barrel. THis means ANY flinch, change in hold, etc. WILL register on the target.
  20. One must be a member longer before slinging such accusations. Especially when contributing to bumping a thread that they seem to think shouldn't be bumped.
  21. However, those entrants to the markets must go up against Benelli's patents, as well as find a way to be of equal quality. I think even Kip shelved his project for a while due to the trouble of making it work for cheaper. I would like to hear from Kip on that though before I go making suppositions.
  22. Drugs are easier, have a much higher profit margin, have a MUCH LARGER customer base, and carry a much smaller wrist slap if you get busted. Smuggling Benelli Collapsible M4 stocks would be stupid when you can deal so much easier.
  23. Not Duggan, but...I watched their price go from 5-700 a year and a half ago, to 7-900 currently. Benelli has clamped down on them, and noone makes an aftermarket. They will slowly, steadily climb in price and dry up availability wise as people who want them will buy them and hang onto them. Soon all the "I have new, old stock" people will be out of them, and the only people who have them will be people who bought just one, for themselves, to keep. Prices will continue to climb.
  24. Having a rediculously over protective mom and a somewhat demented/sadistic stepdad curbed these opportunities for me. Also, going to a private school there was no bus. When I moved out of thier house at age 13 and in with my grandparents, the situation wasn't much better. My grandparents lived in the middle of nowhere and I didn't speak spanish. I was straight outta luck until I got a car. Small private schools totally suck, but hey, I got a pretty decent education. Had I started when I was 14, I don't think it would have been good. I lived WAY too near the border for the sake of sanitation...glad I waited until I moved.
