    Yay!!

Given my choice, I would use the Glock 17. However, We have the castle doctrine in my state. Doesn't matter. Guy was in my house. I don't know him. Open/shut. I have not shot it yet, but it should handle recoil just the same as the fixed PG stock. They feel identical on the shoulder and cheek when the COL is fully extended.

They are so expensive because they are illegal to import, and have been for a few years. Originally they were $175-225. However...supply and demand. My shotgun is plinking/hunting/SD. Do-it-all basically. I view the stock as an investment, as it will only go up in price month by month.

Look at it another way. Owning an M4 without the COL stock is like owning a mustang 5.0 GT (about the same price now as an M4 benelli) and running junk tires vs. some F1's or something on it. The stock is the only part (besides the trigger) that YOU interface with. Much like tires are the only part of the car that ACTUALLY touches the road. I like performance where the rubber meets pavement, and yes, the tires on my WS6 are all but prohibitively expensive.

Problem is, it's not smoke and mirrors, but real marketing dynamics. No more of these are hitting our shores. The market was not artificially driven up, it is a realistic condition that I have watched develope for over a year. I feel that the quality of the stock is roughly equal to the SOCOM, so I payed more than it is worth from a material/function standpoint, but still less than TMV or what I could flip it for.

    Yay!!

Got my M4 collapsible stock in today! Payed $725 for it and the guy was nice enough to next-day air it. Middle position is PERFECT for an optic! Rear-most position is equal to the fixed stock. Fully collapsed is perfect for stowing the weapon, or running around shooting from the hip just having fun. It locks up very solid, with just a hint of wiggle left/right if physically torqued on a little, but NONE fore and aft. You can shake the weapon and it won't rattle. I am very pleased with it. It is very high-quality and you can tell that THIS is what was meant to go on the weapon from the get-go. I was also charged @$200 the other day. Means my Ti mag-tube should be on the way very soon. In 2-3 months, I will buy a T1 and LaRue mount provided Kip's rail is out by then, which I am sure it will be. Waiting on that stipend check...
  6. I was cutting the target in-half as I walked the sights on at 50 yards. Good enough for me. I have found both IC and MOD to work well. If you want a .015 constriction, I suggest you try LM. That fits the bill.
  7. I benched my M4 with 1oz/1760fps slugs once. Once. Never again. THat range-session sucked. 3" ammo is to be fired from the standing position. Period.

    Choke tubes

Nope, that's his name. Good company too.
  9. There are directions on the rear-sight on my M4, did your LPA sights not come with these etched-on instructions?

    Choke tubes

I have a Trulock IC choke tube flush-fitting for an M4 that I will sell for $20 shipped (CONUS). Has about 30 shots through it, no problems, I just have no need of it personally. PM me if interested.
  11. I doubt this could be the cause, but check to see if maybe someone at Benelli fell asleep at the wheel and your mag-tube isn't screwed in all the way. Also, as to the observation of the pistons, yep. That is the short-stroke piston design, you can see other examples of this design at work in the HK416, and other examples of it's kind, as well as plenty of other weapons.
  12. Maybe YOUR Benelli breaks once a month, allows others to shoot it behind your back, and rattles endlessly, but my M4 does not.
  13. I don't think you will find anything that will co-witnesses. However, it would be interesting if you could get a bare Pic rail for the M4, sent it off, had it machined, mounted a Jpoint to it... Sorta like the Glock slides you see. Also, I would try maybe only getting the FSP in tritium, I have heard that rear ghost-rings sit too close ot the face/jack up night vision/cause problems in general.
  14. Well, the harder the shot, the tighter the pattern for given constriction, as a rule. Following this, the Hevi-shot and Steel will pattern tighter than Bismuth. He listed all top-end loads, and his weapon may like one that yours hates, or vice-versa. My experience with patterns of several feet at 30 yards with Hornady TAP buckshot vs. 12" patterns at the same distance in other people's testing is a perfect illustration.
  15. Sorry, no cheap way to do this. Buy the shells and pattern YOUR shotgun/chokes. What you are asking us is akin to me asking you how I would like my steak cooked.
  16. A thanks to all of those whose service has benefitted my country!
  17. Mmmmm...killin' zombies!!!
  18. NP man, I just think it is pure crap that something as "inaccurate" as a smooth-bore slug-gun has .15 MOA adjustments. WTF?!
  19. This depends on barrel length. On an 18.5" Benelli M4, one click is equivalent to: Elevation-.33" per click at 100m or .083" at 25m. Windage-.142" per click at 100m or .0357" per click at 25m. My source is the USMC TM as well as personal experience.
  20. But Duggan...THAT on was still in plastic...
  21. Benelli is notorious for taking a while to deliver stuff. Be quick with your FFL check, as this may be your only chance to get one in a TIMELY manner.
  22. Thanks, learned something new! I hope you got one because I just placed an order for all they had in stock. RE-sale baby!
