In my post, I stated that a Briley MOD choke was used.

I would think that the threads of the screws on the rail would be ripped from the reciever before enough rail movement occured that the keeper would restrain it just due to tolerances. No way could the keeper be made to tolerances as tight as screw threads. It would be impractical.

Well, I think I have found the load I am going to use. Remington OOO Buckshot at the muzzle carries over 270# of energy per pellet, at 50 yards it is still carrying over 170# of energy per pellet (OO buck carries around only 195# energy per pellet...AT THE MUZZLE. And with OOO you only give up 1 pellet, plus I find it patterns a wee tighter and penetration is much improved) and these 2.75" shells pack 8 pellets. They go through 1-1.25 2x4's in my testing, and will penetrate a metal car door. Recoil isn't bad, about par for buckshot, the total shot charge, assuming 70gr pellets, is 560gr, or 1.3oz. This shot size will provide through-through penetration on all but the largest individuals. It will penetrate LESS 2x4/wood and sheel-metal than a .45ACP JHP. I have not tested on milk-jugs or phone books yet. Here are typical patterns. 3 shots at 25 yards, 1 shot at 25 yards, and 1 shot at 50 yards. This shell is fickle at times, one RARE 25y target had only 5 pellets on it, but 4 of those were TOUCHING and dead-center. It tends to throw 4-6 pellets (usually 5) into a 5x5" area at 25 yards, with the other 3 being slight outliers from the group, total pattern usuallt 12-16" at 25 yards. At 50 yards, those same central pellets are still on paper, with the outliers off paper a short ways. (note, I am using some SMALL paper. I really need larger paper). My reason for preferring this load is the penetration it offers make it suitable for any threat that is not wearing body armor of hiding under cover. It will break arm bones. It will go through thick jackets. It will penetrate a large/aggressive dog's skull (extrapolation based on metal/2x4 testing. I did not try this. Although there is a poodle in my apt. complex that is loud...). It will do what needs to be done. *All testing done with Briley MOD choke and Benelli M4S90.

I would strongly suggest buying my M600 setup as it is the cheapest you will find that unit. I am losing money on it, but just have no use.

Lots. My M4 shoots 3-4" groups offhand at 50 yards with foster slugs.

The recoil spring was fine, I bet it jams even MORE now that you have a new one, yes? You need to replace your mag spring if my above was correct.

Do you think the trulock tube is better, or just more...accessible?

Could the choke have come unscrewed? Could a Sabot slug have found it's way into the chamber by mistake?

Obviosuly there is humor here, but I feel that I must make note that slugs (foster) are just fine up to and including "FULL" choke.

I am dying to know who makes these and what possible use the DOD has for them. I have never seen this employed (not that I have BTDT or anything, but still, you would think pictures or something would hit the 'net). I am interested in this system with a MOD choke, whenever it is available.

I have an M600A upgraded with the KX2C head (effectively making it an M600C). I am running the Z61 tail-cap intead of the stock Z68. In my limited fondling static-mounting it on my KAC RAS, the Z61 was much easier to activate than the guarded Z68. It still has lock-out of course to prevent AD's. I am letting the setup go for $220. What type of shotgun do you want to buy?

Can this choke be purchased in MOD constriction? Or just IC only? How does this extended IC choke do with buckshot compared to the OEM MOD choke? Have you patterned it?

What bolt-release is that?

Is the material the same as Benelli uses? What choke-tubes are used for these?

I have owned a Kick's choke, which is the same thing pretty much, and I couldn't tell a difference. Why are you shooting a .300 without ears?

The rail will fit perfect. It will mount using my stock screws/lock washers It will be compatible with LaRue mounts. It will be priced fairly. It will be of equal or superior material quality when compared to the OEM rail. Kip will produce it, and thus attatch his reputation to its performance. This is fact. This is plenty enough. I will buy when available.
