  1. I am getting a refund on the product.
  2. LaRue has offered me a full refund. +1 to LaRue
  3. Mine did the same. I told them what weapon it was going on though and they said it should be fine. LaRue is top-notch and I am sure they will make it right as well!
  4. Yep, that's right. I broke it. Using it properly. I even told the guys at LaRue what I would mount it on (Benelli M4) and what I would shoot (3" slugs). They said the mount was beyond reproach. However, the base that sits between the M1913 blocks on the M4 rail is peened from recoil about 1/8" or so, and the sight will not old zero as it peens slightly after each shot/moving POI. LaRue is a great company and they will make this right I am sure. This post is NOT bashing them or their product in ANY way, simply stating that yes, ANYTHING can break.
  5. Maybe I am wierd, but I cart my weapons all through the house for the heck of it sometimes. Guess I am one of the odd ones.
  6. STOP! HOLD YOUR ARMS OUT TO THE SIDE PALMS OPEN FACING ME! Non compliance/aggresssion? -Bang(repeated as necessary). I feel no need to be chambering and racking and making any noise other than the above. Instead, I want my appearance on the scene to be a total shock to them. Think about it. If I am in my room and 2 people are in my livingroom and I begin racking my weapon (well, my M4 doesn't "rack" per se) then 1 of them might well tell the other to re-position himself. THen when I appear, certain that anyonei n the house has shat himself, the one in the middle of the room by the TV feignes compliance while his accompolice assaults me from behind furniture or something.
  7. Obama has stated that he wishes to remove firearms from the hands of people who live in the inner cities. He also stated that "bitter small town people cling to god and guns" or some such rubbish. Obama is DEFINITELY anti-gun. NOOB- This is not the place for this thread, BUT, without public awareness, there won't be many threads posted that DO belong here. I put my .02 in that the Mod's leave this thread where it is as long as it is informational and doesn't turn into a free-for all or something.

Well when you can fit 9 3" OO Buck loads in your M4, let me know J/K I was using remington birdshot and It doesn't hold more than 6 in the mag with those. It likes Estate and federal.
  9. I would NOT use it. My M4 2-port cycles 9-pellet win-lite reduced recoil buckshot flawlessly. If I added another 2 ports, it would be SLAMMING that bolt around, much less if I ran something like the 3" OOO Buck my M4 loves through it. I would not buy it.

Figured some of you may want to see it. http://tinypic.com/player.php?v=1z5urfs&s=4
  11. Hide it's foodstamps under it's workboots. Oh wait, that is if it's lazy, not has a good work ethic Oil it up and work it back and forth while watching TV (that always makes things better for me anyways).
  12. Well, FINALLY I found what my M4 likes. This is a good target at 40 yards (not a cherry-picked on, just on the better side of average, I only shot a couple at 40, but they looked like this pretty much). (Sorry for the big-pic, I don't have MS paint on this computer yet). At 90 paces (probably 90 meters), I managed to hit this target every time with Remington Slugger Slugs. I was standing and leaning/bracing against a tree, and I am sure I was flinching by this point. I even removed the barrel and choke and re-installed them (what good is it if my weapon loses zero after I take it home and clean it?). It shot to roughly the same POA. Groups were nothing to brag about mainly due to the leaning/standing, and my flinching, but I never once missed the paper, although I did barely connect once or twice. The paper measures 14"x18". This weapon will easily allow hits on humanoid torso's out to 100m. If my slugs "destabalized" and tumbled, then they all must have hit nose-first by some genius stroke of luck, b/c there was no oval or sideways hole in my target. OO Magnum buckshot (remington as well) did "ok", but my M4 REALLY likes the OOO Buck. I used Birchwood Casey lube and a Briley Speed Wrench to tighten the choke. It never once came loose, including a box of 3" BB Steel Estate that I shot through it some rapid-fire.
  13. Choke is here, will post results in 3-5 hours.
  14. M1's and SBE 1's did, IIRC (may be wrong) but the M2/SBEII and newer Benellis do not.
  15. Some of the new sabot rounds and shotguns out there are effective to 200 yards with a competent trigger-puller. How many deer are killed past 200 yards except in open areas like Texas, ect.?
  16. It is all but made from 1 block of steel. It is a rock.
  17. No, the weapon will not try to load a shell onto the carrier if one is already there. I am not sure the mechanics of why not, because I never cared. I pressed the shell-release and nothing happened and that was good enough for me. I am sure Duggan can tell you which lever or whatnot precludes this, or you and I could figure it out by removing the trigger group and looking if over.
  18. Most of the purchases we make beyond those which support Maslow's pyramid of needs are based on "what if..."
  19. For one they are chrome-lined, this adds a little bit. For the rest? Well, why do Acura parts cost more than Honda parts? Get the picture?
  20. Okay, The Trulock choke I purchased produced the roundest, most evenly distributed patterns my M4 has produced. Sadly, they were rather open as it was an IC choke (The benelli IC choke patterned more erratically, but MUCH! tighter for some reason). So I ordered a MOD Trulock choke in my last attempt at getting killer buckshot patterns out of this thing. My shell of preference is OOO Remington Buck. Will post up in a few days.
  21. It should, but each gun/choke/ammo combination yields different results. For instance, I just sent back $180 worth of Kick's Ind. choke tubes because they wouldn't pattern as well as my $30 Primos Dead Deer tube. Are Kick's tubes bad? No, MY M4 just didn't like them. YMMV is VERY TRUE when it comes to shotguns/ammo/chokes.
  22. I am a die-hard H&K USP fan. Of the few I have played with, all were accurate, reliable, and VERY soft shooting due to the guide-rod/spring recoil reducer design. Glocks work pretty dang well too!
  23. Actually, SIG is currently bottom of the barrel imho for QC. WHen Kimber's exec. took over there and they came out with a different model for every day of the year, their rock-solid QC and relaibility took a HUGE nose-dive. I would trust a Glock any day over a (current production) SIG when it comes to going Boom. go to www.sigforum.com and look at all the complaints. It is unreal. Our benelli forum has maybe 1 legit complaint per 20-30 posts MAX, seems like every other one over there is a post about a lemon or something. http://sigforum.com/eve/forums/a/frm/f/430601935 Here, that is page one of their Pistol forum. STAY AWAY FROM SIGS! (they rust like a mofo too, look at them in the display cases at sporting goods stores. Likely as not, the Sig will be the only rusty gun there, look on the barrel, and barrel hood for the most likely areas). Horrible how many QC issues pop up on just page one, huh?
  24. I have owned: Sig 226 Elite ST, Les Baer TRS, and shot Glocks, H&K USP's, FN's, ect. I currently do not own a pistol, but if I buy another one, it will be a .40 H&K USP, simply for the fact that I love the USP, how it shoots, handles, and the fact that if you take the front and back of the frame in your hands and twist it won't warp like a Glock (Try that with a glock, no permanent damage done, but it doesn't make me FEEL good.). The TRS was, however, stoopid accurate. Just -1 for reliability. Dad got a nice christmas present (Since he will use it exclusively for the range, 3" at 50 yard guarantee means more than FTRB's in the first 500-1000 rounds). The SIG: Broke takedown lever (SIG replaced for free) at around 600 round mark. Had FTE's all the way to 1,000 rounds even using Ranger T and Speer LE GD loads. Sent it back to SIG AGAIN, and they polished/function tested. I never trusted it after that, even if they said it was fixed and fired 50 rounds of GDHP through it. It probably WAS fixed. I sold it after relating the story to the buyer. Like I say, money doesn't always mean the best...but usually it does if you spend it wisely. I remain a solid USP fan when it comes to pistols. I will say Glock's have the least muzzle-flip of anything I have shot through, comparing the same calibers, even if they weigh a lot less.
