  1. Hrmmm...would installing a magazine limiter be a way to get around 922r when one felt like it?
  2. My solution to the need of buttstock mounted ammunition: I think it looks tasteful. Black Neoprene. Feels good on the cheek too!
  3. I gave up, Benelli told Ron of Tacticalshotgunner.com that it was glued in there. They advised that heating it with "A strong hair-dryer" would cause the adhesive to release. They said the stock could take A LOT! of heat (and it can!). I heated the thing up until the CLP smoked off. No loosening. I decided discretion was the better part of valor. TAKE NOTE! MESA TACTICAL BUTTSTOCK SHELL-HOLDERS WILL NOT WORK ON AN M4! Ron has been a stand-up guy in his dealings with me on the purchase of this item. I am (regrettably) going to have to ship it back to him sometime this week as I cannot make it work. Props to Ron for calling Benelli for me as well as offering me either my money back, or store credit. While I cannot recommend this product for M4 owners, I can recommend Ron as a dealer. Good people.
  4. How do I do this? I got the acorn nut off, now what? THere is a T-shaped piece of metal with washers under it that is preventing the main screw from coming out.
  5. I'm not scared, my friend is worried What if he shot someone during a B&E (justified use of deadly force) and they found he was in violation of 922r? Has a 922r non-compliant weapon ever been used like such and caused grief for it's owner?
  6. So...should I tell my friend that his M4 needs to be modified back to stock? He is kindof concerned...
  7. When you chamber that first round, do you baby the bolt foreward, or do you rip it back and let her fly like you should?

    922r...kiss

Just what it says. I am tired of reading: "M4's with a full-length mag and a PG stock are illegal." "no they aren't as long as the tube is US made." "yes they are." Which is it guys? Can you, or can you not install a 7 round tube on an M4 with a pistol grip stock? Does it have to be a U.S. made tube? The way I understand it is that it is legal as long as..."The weapon is not assymbled from imported parts". Since the tube is US and not imported...legal due to wording. Or...it has been changed in configuration and still has more than 10 imported parts so...NOT legal. However, I am sure this has been put to bed long before now, I just cannot find that concrete answer. Please KISS and thanks!
  9. Normal, due to some interaction with the carrier or whatnot. I am sure someone here knows EXACTLY what's up and can explain better. Instead of forcing it at this point, pull back that 1/10th inch of slack you have and let go. It will fall nicely into battery. Normal.
  10. Happy to help, FYI, Winchester PP's seem a HAIR more accurate, but remington sluggers seem to leave less lead in my barrel.
  11. Okay, we have gone from: "Anyone in a relationship, tell me what your partner likes" to: "Any guy in a relationship with a girl, tell me what she likes." See what I mean? YOU need to shoot YOUR shotgun. Brenneke Black Magic Remington Slugger Winchester Power Point Federal Tru Ball These are a good starting place.
  12. It is normal for a Benelli to hang up when cycled by hand with no shells if you are just pulling the bolt back and forth. I bet it won't hang up the FIRST time you pull it back and ease it foreward after dry-firing. Then subsequent times if you do not pull the trigger, it will hang up when you do this gently. Normal. Call Benelli and ask about the first shot jam.
  13. Yes, it is the same and should work on any PG Benelli buttstock. I will let you know when it arrives. 3-point sling: http://www.spectergear.com/carryoptions.htm
  14. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=16687 Here is my mod list, should be arriving next week.
  15. This won't help you, every shotgun is different.
  16. "A fear of weapons is a sign of retarded sexual and emotional maturity."-Freud "Among the many misdeeds of the British rule in India, history will look upon the Act depriving a whole nation of arms as the blackest. If we want the Arms Act to be repealed, if we want to learn the use of arms, here is a golden opportunity. If the middle classes render voluntary help to Government in the hour of its trial, distrust will disappear, and the ban on possessing arms will be withdrawn."-Ghandi "Firearms stand next in importance to the Constitution itself. They are the people's liberty teeth keystone... the rifle and the pistol are equally indispensable... more than 99% of them by their silence indicate that they are in safe and sane hands. The very atmosphere of firearms everywhere restrains evil interference. When firearms go, all goes, we need them every hour."-George Washington in his address to 1st session of Congress. "No free man shall ever be debarred the use of arms."-Thomas Jefferson "The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government"- Thomas Jefferson "Those now possessing weapons and ammunition are at once to turn them over to the local police authority. Firearms and ammunition found in a Jew's possession will be forfeited to the government without compensation Whoever willfully or negligently violates the provisions will be punished with imprisonment and a fine. "-Nazi Law
  17. I CLP everything. But I wipe down the pistols and every other gas-system component until it is dry afterwards. I do it for rust prevention, not lube.
  18. The rifling on a rifled slug was meant to collapse/be shaved when being fired through a full-choke so as to avoid damage to a weapon. It looks really nice and pretty if you pull it from the case, but think how roughed up those "fins" get bouncing around a barrel and slamming into a choke tube, even an IC? High-speed photography has proven that it does spin...some. However, this spinning is not going to stabalize the slug. What stabalizes a Foster slug is it's weight-foreward design. It is more like a shuttle-cock than a rifle projectile.
  19. 3-shot group using Remington 1oz Slugger slugs from my M4. I was standing, firing without a sling, taking maybe 5-8 seconds max between shots. Weapon used was an M4 with an IC choke tube. I have not gotten my Pride-Fowler/Larue combo yet. At 25 yards, it produces 2-3" groups offhand without a problem. Using Winchester Power Point slugs, it seems to group about 2/3 as large as with remington slugs.
  20. On the show they may have used the mil-spec no-choke tube barrel and the commercial choke-tube barrel is built to different spec. I didn't see it, and so I don't know.
  21. I have used: Primos Dead-deer choke .685 Carlsons extended full .695 Benelli Mod Benelli IC So far I am ordering a Trulock IC choke. IC did the best with buckshot and slugs for me. The Primos Dead-Deer choke did throw some good patterns though. It cost me $30. As did the Carlson's .695 Full choke. If you want, I could sell you my Carlson's (it threw good patterns with small shot, not very good at all with buck, but each gun is different). and my Primos Dead Deer choke. PM me if interested.
  22. Today for my M4 I ordered: Trulock FLush-mount IC choke (IC Patterns best with buchshot out of my M4) Larue low-pro QD mount Iron Dot base and Pride Fowlder red-dot sight Giles Tactical 3pt sling Mesa Tactical 4-round buttstock shell holder. CR1632 battery for red-dot optic. Will post pics when I bolt her all togather.
