  1. Aimpoint H2 4 MOA is where I went with it. -Non-exposed diode -more irons in the sight picture -longer battery life -The RMR 2's auto-adjust really sucks based on what I'm hearing -you don't lose your zero when you change the battery every year on your birthday.
  2. For what, tube optics, or aimpoint and benelli? If it's the benelli mount , get it and don't look back. If for tube optics, it gets a hard "pass" from me, due to method of attachment to rail. It's insufficient in my opinion, based on experience with their comp m4 mount.
  3. They're nothing special. I honestly did it for aesthetics. They don't suck, but they aren't really worth the cost of msrp. Buy from Primary Arms during a sale, and then it's fairly priced vs. what you get. Badger ordnance is better machined, albeit 6061 vs 7075. Nightforce is 7075 and has cleaner machining. Pretty much everyone has cleaner machining than a geissele mount.
  4. I went geissele, but kac and nightforce are good too. I don't qd.
  5. My finding is that the scalarworks mounts are good for 5.56 guns, but move too much on .308, etc
  6. No, it's your opinion. The G mount also has less cutting operations. It's also less well done, in my experience, regarding the tolerances of the finish. By far. Your Prius will get you from A to B, but there is also a lot of stuff it WON'T do in between, that the M series will.
  7. Will the CC spring work in a regular 5-shot Benelli magazine, or will it be too long?
  8. It is 7075 (MI uses 6061) It has a constant-curve underside (takes money to machine and match.) It has slots that are made for slip-fit interference with the screws (giving it twice the lateral anchorage of the MI mount) The screws are custom made for this application, and then sent to be Nylok treated (costs more than the screws themselves, what's MI do?). It also has material removed where it is not needed, in such a way it is not meaningfully, if any, weaker structurally. (Significantly lighter than MI) This is similar to saying "I see no value in a BMW M4. My Mazda 3 has 4 tires, a combustion engine, etc."
  9. Absolutely not. It's par for the course.
  10. I'll stick with my h2, then. I can't imagine the raging ***** it would be to take a weapon outside in the rain only to have it freeze in the emitter pocket of the rmr. Done.
  11. So....perfect thread...do people prefer the aimpoint or rmr...why?
  12. -Some new shotgun ammo, #9 penetrates as deep as #5, Federal loads it, meant for waterfowl. -Tavor TS12 -Beretta 1301 got choke tubes and the bolt-release fixed and FDE looking color -SBE3 available in lefty -828U from Benelli -Few other things not really worth talking about like Weatherby brushing up their shotguns a bit, etc.
  13. This is part of why shotguns are not considered drop safe. The safety does not prevent full articulation of the hammer via physical barrier.
  14. Anyone have experience with these? Do they cycle the M4 reliably/with authority? How is POA/POI compared to other slugs? https://www.primeammo.com/prime-12-gauge-competition-slug-box.html
  15. Roger that. If you do much with lights, I suggest a CPF.com account. You can find anything at all there and usually it sells reasonably.
  16. That looks awesome! You could always do an Arisaka/Malkoff head, and work directly with them to achieve your plating desires re: the head of the light. Also...that's a lot of work instead of just buying Z61 tail-cap...or did you look and could not source one?
  17. I just wish it was something he would pursue. We could use some big-time players in the industry like him. Geissele did hammers for a little bit, but obviously their heart wasn't in it.
  18. Hakan Spuhr. He made it to suit himself, 1-off. It could certainly be "polished", if he chose to. He also made the rail, which is a prototype, as well.
  19. He says he is using the OEM Benelli spring, it works great, and he loves it. He is a Benelli M4 afficianado, so he makes really neat 1-off stuff for his.
  20. Me too, I'll ask. ETA: It uses the OEM recoil spring for the M4 Benelli, and works perfectly. It's a prototype just for his gun. Because Hakan.
  21. I really wish I had the resources Hakan does...I'd do things like this:
  22. I mean, I'd been saying it...
  23. It's not supposed to touch the barrel. It's fitting your gun perfectly. However, if it's not your cup o tea, I'd give the IWC a shot.
  24. This is good. Otherwise you would deform the bore.
  25. *I put on my robe and wizard hat.* (Only 80s kids...)
