I said the same thing for half a decade until I finally did it. My advice is to never handle one, then. I'd personally go 11707, dump the barrel, buy an 11701 barrel from Numrich, and call it a day. I refuse to own guns eith choke tubes.

The camo chips. Not a fan.

Buy an 11724. It's worth the hoops and time. I've owned every other model out there (not the costed types, but 11701 original as well as 2017, and 11707s), and the 11724 is the run away favorite of mine.
-
Should be just fine, although I prefer a thing grease like ALG or Cherry Balmz BRB. I dunno why yours is not running.
-
I have owned a 8 or so M4's, and none required break-in. What are you lubing it with, and how much lube are you using? AS robust as my cycles, I doubt that's the difference, but it is worth asking.

Ps. She like how that Tango Arms stippling feel!

Lots of stuff. I did some slow motion videography using federal 9 pellet 1145 buckshot I'll post later. My 118# gf was running it, so I know it's not my 200# behind it making it work.

Shotguns are pretty low pressure, I'd think a comp would likely be more annoying than anything. LR is where it's at. I use Remington 1200fps 1oz slugs, and Federal 9 pellet 00 1145fps buckshot. It cycles both even when held from the hip half-heartedly. Thing about shotguns, is that they live in the permanent crush-cavity velocity world. There isn't going to be much difference in wounding between a 1200fps and a 1600fps projectile. At 100 yards, a LR vs. a full power slug will have less than 100# energy difference, for all those who will complain about "energy down range".

I fired the first rounds through it, being Remington STS 1145fps 1-1/8oz 2.75 dram. It functioned flawlessly. I followed up dumping 5 rounds of Winchester bulk #8 shot through it. Again flawless. A few more rounds of Remington STS, and it failed to hold open on the last shot but cycled dutifully. Ran all Federal LR LE buckshot they make (8,9 pellet 00, and #1). Accuracy and patterning are as expected. The entire package is very cohesive and it's an absolute beast of a room broom that with slugs will reach out to 100 no problem! This is, indeed, my last M4. 14" Benelli M4 SBS w/ C-STOCK from factory TTI black safety M4 metal trigger guard assy. Tango Arms forend IWC with Surefire M300 500 lumen 4MOA H2 in a Scalarworks SYNC Works great with the C-stock set in mid with the optic, fully extended with irons.

If you go that route, StrangerDanger on this forum gets a vote from me. His prices are sensible, and his work and integrity are exemplary.
-
Short of grotesque limp-wristing, serious use guns should not fail to function without special holding techniques.
-
Depending on other factors, yes.
-
Take the sf forend off, or use a full power load.

XCOIL is a pain. How are you equating them to a snap on solution?
-
All of the T-series micros are g2g
-
So it is basically to accommodate a Comp series body style optic?
-
That looks like a lot of work. Why did you do it? Raising both the dot, and the cheek-piece makes no sense to me, as you could be running a lighter setup with less parts, and achieve the same cheek/optic/eye relationships you have now, with a lower optic mount, lighter optic, and no modification of the cheek-riser.
-
During the reboot, it would be great if the mount "strap" were sized to integrate perfectly with the streamlite protac series bodies...dunno if this was already done, or not, but it would be awesome. Keyed interface, nearly. Super light, and they hold up. https://www.streamlight.com/en/products/detail/index/protac-1l

The price OP wants is good. The price Toaster wants in his thread, like it or not, is the price that we, as a forum, are largely responsible for, as its driven by perception of value and availability. This forum was and is instrumental in this exact components creation, production, and reviews. No need for any insults to travel either direction. It is what it is. Noone will die if Toaster doesnt sell them his hammer. He is not harming anyone one bit by pricing it how he chooses. OP will likely sell his BOR fast and easily.

Rmr on factory would work. Honestly, I'd go scalarworks and holosun t1 clone. If you dont like it, both can be flipped for low loss especially if the holosun is bought used. If you do like it, flip the holosun later and replace with aimpoint.

If ghost rings were better for cqb, the military and SWAT and everyone else would use them instead of a dot. There are other studies that are more complex than my bandwagon argument if you dig, as well. As to your stock and cheekbone...I've played that game. It hurts after a few tubes full.

I sent him a link to this thread. I'm feeling at this point that it's unlikely, but we can hope.

My question is, does this trigger group fix hammer follow? Test this by: pulling the benelli m4 charging handle and bolt back (after verifying that the weapon is empty!) to fully cock the hammer. Let the bolt fully close and lock (or not), and then pull it back to just before the bolt turns into the extension (as though you are trying to fire it out of battery). See if the trigger can be pulled. That is my one real gripe about this fire control system. Too fast on the trigger, and you get a live round in the pipe and a dead trigger, because the bolt shroud blocks hammer to prevent OOB ignition, instead of the disconnector simply preventing the trigger from being prematurely pulled.
