  1. At $3100, it's not a scam, but gouging.
  2. Try some Remington 00 from walmart.
  3. I use a 357SIG Gold Dot cartridge. I just push. The slope of the HP cavity and its diameter are perfect, lol
  4. The 1/2" FFT charging-handle is a very good substitute until the CC charging-handle can be had. I have one myself, and it's beautifully machined and weighs within half a gram of Kip's. It is over 20% lighter than the factory CH and should improve function, technically. Also, it is a touch longer than Kip's, which some people may actually prefer.
  5. MSRP on the item is mid-upper $200's. $299 is likely as low as you will find it.
  6. I paid $750 for one in its hayday...and sold a few around that, too!
  7. None of my m4s required this. I ran 1145fps 2.75 dram skeet loads out of the box on most of them. OP: what modifications if any from 100% box stock does your m4 sport?
  8. Before you know it...skeet skeet!
  9. Verify chamber wall smoothness visually. Verify dimensions of shells and function check with another brand.
  10. Well, I ordered a tube for a new build. Why would I order the CC tube over an FFT tube that I could have today? because it is several thousandths of an inch thicker, and the magazine-tube is a major structural component. The extra rigidity as well as resistance to denting makes it worth the wait!
  11. Well, maybe. I just ordered one, and the inventory went from 2, to 1, right after I ordered. Let's see if I get the stock, or get Botached. Anyone want to gamble with me? http://www.botach.com/products/benelli-70085-m4-collapsible-stock-assembly.html $299
  12. Does anyone have a higher round count benelli that they can take a picture of the inside of the receiver of, say, looking in from where the barrel inserts say at a 45 degree angle and then in through the bottom trigger guard area and then ejection port? I want to see how the harmonics wear it via the steel barrel extension over time. Any ID driven Benelli that you have a round-count on will work (M1,M2,Montefeltro, etc.)
  13. Very cool, TY! Is there any danger of dislodging the housing by displacing the rivet while driving out the pin? Also, the retaining pin I have is solid, not a roll-pin (sourced from Brownells).
  14. How does one do this?
  15. Gotcha. Benelli springs do take a set that is notable if their mag springs are any indication.
  16. Odd. Mine are 19"+. Have yours been compressed before?
  17. Would you mind measuring one to verify?
  18. Hate to drag this up, but I found a legit source for M1014 springs. The mic'ed 0.045", but I had since re-calibrated my calipers, and re-measured that same Brownell's spring, and it mic'ed 0.043". They are a hair over 19" in length (keep in mind, I had a few hundred rounds on my M1014 spring when I measured it, and these are new in the box), and have a phosphate type finish. Sadly...my source is currently sold out. I'll re-post when they come back in stock, but just wanted this on a few people's radar.
  19. This is one of the issues with buying any kind of import, sadly. Blame customs and international trade.

    M4 mods

That DMW bolt handle is a pig and will cause reliability to be lessened. Can you describe the FTE? Did the extractor rip over the edge of the shell rim, or was it partially extracted and just didn't have the beans to fully extract, or...? What ammo were you using?
  21. I won't argue it right now, but after 2-3 years on the 3-gun fields, I will refute or agree, based on evidence provided thereby.
  22. ^accurate.
  23. If they can't get them to break, the 1301 is going to be a real tour de force in its market segment.
