Cheap rod, a Tornado brush, a bore mop and some CLP, a 1" paint-brush, a .40 caliber bore-brush, a toothbrush, some sections of cut up cotton cloth,a Teague Taper wrench or Briley Sped wrench and some birchwood casey choke-tube lube are all you need to fully clean/maintain the M4S90.

I'll take it if you agree to cover the S&H fee.
-
I'm sure it does, but not enough for me to care. I have shot ported chokes before and it didn't matter enough for me to miss 'em.
-
Cool! Do they hand out free bans?
-
Do you run it dry or soaking?
-
Why do they jam?
-
M4S90. I have owned 3. None ever jammed without encouragement from me. I cannot say this about my AR15. I cannot say this about the $1800 1911 I owned. I cannot say this about the $4,000+ 1911 I owned. I cannot say this about the P226 Elite ST I owned. I even ordered a bunch of spare springs/pins for my M4S90, if I must support it in hard times to come. Not that I fear them breaking, per se, but as we all know things can become lost, overzelous cleaning tears O-rings, etc.

http://www.steelforge.com/alloys/?alloy=7075 This being said, M16 recievers are made of the same thing. The barrel on an M16 threads into the reciever. The barrel/chamber can get VERY! hot under FA fire, yet I have never heard of an issue with the recievers, even when the weapon is heated up to the point that the gas-tube ruptures or rounds cook-off in the chamber. Thus, I feel it is a non-issue unless you get stupid with a torch or something.

Just keep it, these things come in cycles it seems. There are a VERY limited number of these getting from LE to civvi hands, so the demand will only rise. Wait until the next round of anti-gun political noise and watch the price go uppppp.
-
Hrmmm, I stand corrected then.

Flush-fit MOD constriction. Nigel builds the extended chokes only because people want them. It is his opinion that about 2" of taper is all that is needed, after that, it's superflous.
-
It wouldn't work well on a shotgun, period, because the very low operating pressure is not conducive to good results from porting.
-
FF handle is probably 4140 or similar. Weight concern, imho.

That would be like me installing a chin-spoiler on my WS6.

Ordered one of this choke tubes. Very curious to see how it does! http://www.teagueprecisionchokesltd.co.uk/choke_information.html

Take the corpse to the store and compare.

Yep. Works just fine. So many people over-think it and mess crap up.

I bought one monday, thankyou though!

Some testing has been done on cryo-treated steel and durability. I remember reading it years ago and cannot provide citation, but it was found that cryo-treated steel doesn't necessarily last any longer, sometimes not as long. Also,a properly heat-relieved barrel (if it is button or hammer forged, this means both before and after rifling, if it is cut, this means stress relief before rifling and not needed after as no stress is placed on the barrel) won't gain much from cryo treatment. A poorly heat-treated/relieved barrel might see some benefit. As relates to shotguns, I think it is a very valuable operation--It adds value to the company's stock when it sells. My M4S90 is no bird-gun, but even it slings perfectly round patterns with birdshot. I don't know WHERE or HOW Benelli achieved those skewed patterns they show in their cryo vs. non cryo treatment comparison picture.

I don't think they use the same stuff you can get called "gun-tite" or whatever. I think it is proprietary, but I have not inquired about it so have no sure evidence.
-
Now do you see why we get irritated when everyone whines about "deforming their reciever" or "I'm scared" or whatnot with regards to the mag-tube? The recoil tube--from what I have heard--is worth fretting over though.

Boring? No, just makes people think of the weak ass turkey load they are passing off as meant for people.
