I saw blue bands for sale at the feed store the other day...

In my opinion they are some of the top decoys on the market but I feel the price is too high for them.. I hunt with Final Approach dekes and they always seems to do the trick they're durable and the paint detail is off the hook.

I've been scouting my spot that I'm going to hunt for the early goose season and I'm very happy with what I've seen so far..150+ Honkers have been buzzing around well within shooting range. I even sweet talked a few of them to come in feet down.. so its gonna be an interesting morning on the 1st.

I've been watching the DU hunt reports and it seems as if only a handful of guys got into the teal... The lack of water in Texas was the biggest complaint..

It looks like that might have been a goose that someone personally banded... In other words, it was a pet Anyways, nice shooting. We get to start dropping the hammer down on the Honkers on October 1st

I was in Bass Pro yesterday and I noticed Kent's new waterfowl load for this season.. have you guys heard anything about it or should we still expect 2 to 3 misfires per box with this stuff?

Yeah I hear you on that one. Why did the guy have to make some damn good calls? I own both the Foiles Dead Meat Mallard and the Market Hunter calls and I'd have to say that these are the best two calls that I've ever blown. The Foiles Market Hunter vs The Zink Paralyzer is a toss up though.... But there is no way in **** that I will support his business anymore because I don't support a poacher.

Yeah I read that, if the government lets this guy get off that easy than there is something seriously wrong here. They need to throw the book and make an example out of him.

This guy does not deserve to hunt again! I would cut the guy some slack if this was a one time thing but not when it happens over multiple seasons...

For Honker's I'll only use one of two loads, Winchester 3.5" #2's or BB's, either one will work. I think the most important part when it comes to hunting Honker's is the choke selection and the shot placement. I use the Patternmaster Long Range choke and it's a nasty combination for big geese

I know we're still 4 months out until the Opener here in Cali, but from what it looks like, it might be a tough season... I haven't had a chance to make a drive up North to check out the rice fields but down here in the Valley the corn crops have just been planted. This, along with a snow pack of 130+% means there is going to alot of excess food on the ground along with large amounts of water to spread these birds out. What do you guys think?

My buddy and I are set on designing a boat for this upcoming season and we were able to get our hands on a 10 ft flat botton for nothing, but my only concern is that it seems pretty damn small! Anybody by chance ever take a boat of that size up the river and if so how'd it handle?

I think it must be the Max 4 dip that Benelli uses, because my Franchi I-12 and my Remington 870 Supermag are both in Max 4 but my Franchi is way to damn bright.

As far as the release of this ammo to the general public goes I think you're right. But I think Winchester made a good number of 3" #2's (because every report has been the same) and that they were more than willing to distribute this ammo if you knew the right person to talk to. As for Mack's carrying the ammo before the 2011 release, I can see where that might be possible. I would imagine that a Winchester Rep contacted Mack's and delivered lets say 20 cases of Blind Side ammo that were to be sold "in store only" as a trial run. That can explain why there wouldn't be a record of any online sales. This sounds like just another one of those cases where "It's all about who you know" type of thing.

So would this mean that Benelli would make the SBE II in Mossy Oak Duck Blind? I'm not sold on the whole Vinci design yet...Maybe it's because I haven't had the opportunity to hunt with one. Either way, I like the idea of Benelli being contracted with Mossy Oak.

Hey hattles check it out, I was trying to find some reviews on this Blind Side ammo and I found this: http://norcalcazadora.blogspot.com/2011/02/winchester-blind-side-nice-ammo-but.html From what it looks like, Winchester released a limited amount of this stuff to the public around December and January because they wanted to build a field report before the 2011 Shot Show.

Am I missing something here but from what it looks like the only difference with this new ammo is the HEX shaped steel which allows them to pack 1-3/8oz of shot into a 1-1/4oz cup.

Winchester Blind Side If Cali has that early Canada goose season again this year then I might have to give these a try to see what kind of stopping power these shells have.

I guess pigeon racing is a high dollar sport. I read that in order to enter a race it was something like a minium of $150 entry fee per bird and the birds have to be accompanied by their owner. I would imagine that there are some large bets on these races. So yeah im sure that guy would of been pretty pissed off if I called him...

For me it'd have to be: 1. Alexander Arms AR-15 (chambered for the 6.5 Grendel) 2. Benelli M3 (can either be fired as semi-auto or pumped) 3. Sig P229 (40 cal.)

Because people allow them to get away with it. If no one questions the manufacturer, then there is no reason why they shouldn't mark up the price.
