  2. Hey Tinman, Looking forward to seeing your pics! To post a pic it will have to first be uploaded to a photo sharing site like Photobucket.com http://photobucket.com/ When you write or reply to a thread on this forum. Click on the 5th icon from the right above the reply box (it looks like a little yellow square with a mountain peak in it) this will bring up a window in which you can paste the pictures address on Photobucket or wherever you have the pic hosted. After that just click OK and the picture will open in your post. Take Care, Hookster
  3. Hey Taylaboy! Yeah! I'm totally stoked I'll be hitting the range with some Wjnchester 147gr and 4 different kinds of 168gr match ammo on Friday morning. I'm close to ordering a scope. I'm thinking of a Nightforce 3.5x-15x 50mm. http://nightforceoptics.com/nightforcescopes/SCOPES_OVERVIEW/3_5-15x50___3_5-15x56_/3_5-15x50___3_5-15x56_.html but I haven't totally decided yet. I'm still trying to make a final decision on the magnification range that I want. Any thoughts? This Loaded still may end up in a JAE stock in the long run http://www.jae100.com/ I might make the LRB receiver build my Classic wood-stocked M1A. I'll keep you posted. Later, Hookster

  11. I totally agree tinman! If I really were going to have just one I'd get the Scout. But having the two ends of the spectum is the way to go! (16" & 22") But I may end up with a Scout as well Lol......We'll see...... I pick up my M1A Loaded tomorrow after work! Can't Wait!!!! Later, Hookster
  12. Sounds like a question for Skeeter. He recently installed one. Hookster
  13. Just think though Skeeter........You'd have the fanciest gun of all for Mad Max time. The zombies will be mesmerized by how shiny it is
  14. The NO is indeed large and fat I love the SOCOM-16 but if it makes his mind feel better to get a Scout or whatever, why not? I think a lot of the SAI bashing is just because they are the biggest target with so many guns out there that of course there will be more problems reported with SAI rifles. Later. H:)Okster
  15. Are your buddy's concerns more about function/reliability or parts interchangibility? H........
  16. BTW Taylaboy, I found another site with a good stockpile of M14 info http://www.rifle-company.com/phpbb3/ Later, Hookster
  17. No Skeeter, That's what they do to milk!
  18. Hey Taylaboy! From what I understand the gas system was shortened slightly and the system plug has a little more volume to help compensate. The muzzle brake also helps to provide some of the extra back pressure that is lost by shortening the barrel. The gas piston itself is identical and interchangable. I can probably give you more details next week after I pick up the M1A Loaded and compare the two Later, Hookster
  19. Hi alfred10 Mesa makes a clamp on rail that should work okay for mounting a tac light http://www.mesatactical.com/index.php?id=58 "best" cqb sling is a matter of taste but I use Specter Gear slings with their Buttstock shell carrier as the rear attachment point. I'm very happy with their stuff. sling: http://www.spectergear.com/benelli_cqb_sling.htm ammo carrier: http://www.spectergear.com/shotgun_bsh.htm I have a Carriercomp too and don't see how it could be improved on. I haven't heard a lot of feedback on the Freedom Fighter Tactical titanium tubes quality, all people seem to say is that they ship quickly. I'm not sure who officially uses the Benelli M4 besides the U.S.M.C. but maybe someone else knows. Later, Hookster
  20. C'mon M1014, I just bought my M1A Loaded. With it's wood stock and stainless barrel it will be the only woody shiney gun in my black gun collection. http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=44 You wouldn't want me to make it feel bad by immmediately bringing in another gun that's even shinier would you? Although.... I do admit teasing you know who would be fun.......But then again, a wise man once said....never tease a man with a MAC-10 Later, Hooster
  21. Best of luck LV! I'm sure all will go well. Give us the report when you're done. I'll be putting one on mine sooner or later so I had saved those threads on my favorites list for future reference. Take Care, Hookster
  22. Thank you sir!.... Loc-tite it is then. I didn't have any on the previous sights. (A.R.M.S. 40L rear and Samson flip front) but I'll apply as directed for the Troys. Later, Hookster
