  1. Lookin' good Taylaboy! I'm looking at picking up a full length M1A loaded w/stainless barrel on Friday to keep the Socom company http://www.springfield-armory.com/armory.php?version=44 I'm going to scope it so I've got some feelers out for scope mount opinions over on M14TFL Now my dilema will be drilling the beautiful walnut stock for another Karsten or just getting the JAE stock with the riser http://www.jallenenterprises.com/ Take Care, Hookster

    Happy to be aboard M!
  20. They have a M1A Loaded with the stainless barrel at the shop that I was thinking about for putting a scope on. It has a really gorgeous walnut stock. If I get it, it would be the only wood stocked weapon I have. Everything else I have reflects my BRD (black rifle disease) the one thing I don't like on it is the color difference between the nice stock and the fiberglass handguard. I was thinking I could get a better look by replacing it with a stell one like Fulton Armory's. Later, Hookster
  21. Yup, They are definitely fun!!! I'm going back to the gun shop in a little bit to go "check out" their new M1As again......Hmmmm..... my credit card is getting itchy... Later, Hookster

Hi Marc, To post a pic it will have to first be uploaded to a photo sharing site like Photobucket.com http://photobucket.com/ When you write or reply to a thread on this forum. Click on the 5th icon from the right above the reply box (it looks like a little yellow square with a mountain peak in it) this will bring up a window in which you can paste the pictures address on Photobucket or wherever you have the pic hosted. After that just click OK and the picture will open in your post. Take Care, Hookster

Hey M1014......Looks like you have a new best friend
  24. Hey All, I just thought I'd update this thread for the fellow M1A platform guys. I ended up with a Karsten cheek riser. and I'm very happy with it. It's a very solid and comfortable setup and gives me great alignment with the Aimpoint ML 3. I tried a strap on riser but it had a little side to side shift that bugged me. The drill on riser is definitely the way to go. My local shop just got their SHOT show order in from Springfield Armory. I'm thinking about getting an 18" Scout or full length M1A to keep the SOCOM-16 company. Here are some pics:
