  1. I tried going that route, but had no luck with Beretta or Benelli on getting a new 14" bbl. Finially just got a new 14" M2 Entry already done for LE. Never got a price on a 14" bbl, but I'm sure I paid a little more going this route, but it was a lot easier
  2. Don't be surprised if the Gov has a satellite zooming in on you right now, just trying to get a pic of you in your boxers shootin' away. It'll be on youtube next week
  3. I'm pretty sure you can't loan out class 3 stuff. The registered owner has to be there when it's used (but I'm no expert). Don't know if that applies if you just want to carry it around the house in your boxers and look cool
  4. I think Beretta owns Benelli. But I'm not really sure of the exact relationship. On the original box for my M2 entry, the Benelli info label/decal has a Beretta info label placed over it. Still shows it as an M2 14" bbl LE only, etc. And the Form 4 also reads Beretta as the manufacturer. I asked the ATF inspector (notorious for not always giving consistent info) and apparently Beretta does the SBS conversion for LE. For what it’s worth. J
  5. I have an M-2 with the pistol grip stock and got a NIB comfortech stock also. It'll bolt right up if you have the shims for the stock (P-grip stock doesn't use them, C-tech does, and I'd guess the standard would also). I think since you have the C-tech with shims, you should be set for a standard stock if it needs them, if it doesn't need them, no issue either.
  6. A letter wouldn't need a customs declaration, a parcel would. But the letters going to go through machines and it may rip through and fall out. You could send a parcel to an APO address if you have a friend there. Still may need a customs form, but may not get opened if it just said "sights" or "benelli parts", not that I'm advocating that
  7. Let me know what you hear from trijicon! I have the mepro sights on my M-2 entry (used a 1/4" wrench and it fit great, just FYI , but I do like the white rings of the trijicons for daytime.
  8. My SB M-2 generally eats anything I put through it, but I "launched" some bird bangs and explosive rounds (very low recoil, they "lob" like a grenade launcher) and it's not enough to cycle it. Have to manually cycle it.
  9. D'oh! Sorry. But this switched from the original thread a long time ago We just switched it again OK, Ill let it go back to LE in Cali.
  10. Don't know if it helps, but my M-2 14" bbl swaps with any other M-2 bbl just fine. It's just a factory shortened bbl with the sight re-mounted (done by Beretta for LE use). I'd think the SB M-4 would be the same.
  11. I'm sure as a dealer he gets better prices then we would (he's a wheeler dealer and changes guns like I change socks, every month . I don't know what he paid for the SAW, but he wanted to sell me an MG-42 for $30K. If it were an MG-34, I might have thought about it more, but dropping that much on a single gun? My savings would take a bigger hit than I'm willing to right now. heck, my M-16 was $12.5 and I walked out shaking my head thinking "I can't believe I just dropped $12.5 on a gun" (it was an impulse buy, I'm so week
  12. It might help that my local class 3 dealer (a Ukranian guy named Boris) takes the cops out all the time to play with all his toys, and he has all the good/expensive stuff! I went out once and he pulled out 2 MG-42s and a SAW.
  13. You could ask the same question about half the people arrested there. I'd rather save the dog then half the criminals. Lead the cops on an hour long high-speed chase endangering tons of people/cops, then crash/give up and "oh I have rights, you have to be nice to me." Screw that. Or maybe that's just me
  14. Even when I was getting all my Form 4s signed off by my local AZ CLEO, only once (out of 6 Form 4s) did he even come down to see me (the one day I was wearing my USPS shirt, D'oh!) and that was about a 2 second "whatcha getting now?" Two minuts to get them signed, and not even a question about anything (and I could easily pass for an escaped convict skin head, 6'4" 235 lbs, shaved head, fatty goatee and plenty of tats). Gotta' love the wild west cowboy states
  15. I dont think NY is much better. I doubt I'll ever move back, mainly 'cus of the class 3 stuff I own, but I don't miss the Buffalo winters either. Been in the SW (NM and AZ) for the last 18 years, and they practicially issue you a gun when you enter the state
  16. If I need that many shots, I'm grabbing a machine gun
  17. I know allot of people mention the weight issue with the inertia guns (i.e. don't bolt too much to them or they may have issues cycling properly). But with the entry guns, does the decrease in weight (minus 4" of bbl and tube) go the other way (or maybe compinsate for the weight of adding a surefire)? My 14" M2 doesn't care what I put through it or how I hold it, it eats everything without a hickup. Just wondering if it's reduced weight might make any difference (it's a 14" M2 with ghost rings and pistol grip, no lights or anything else added)
  18. I can only speak from my experience, and my M2 is a SBS (14"bbl) so I don't know how it's weight (or lack of) compares to other M2s. But I've shot it from the hip planty of times, shot it from the shoulder plenty of times, even shot it one-handed like a pistol a few times, and it's never had any issues (never tried it braced against a tree, don't see any reason to try that) . And I've shot everything through it (3" and under). It ate everything and cycled like a champ no matter how I shot it. (I can confirm that my M2 is very light! Seems lighter then my MAC-10 with a full mag). Again, don't know how it's weight compares, but the short BBL sure makes it manuverable through halways and around corners IMHO.
  19. hunting_stuff on eBay is the same guy I got my comfortech stock from for my M2 Tactical entry. Great price and fast shipping, if that helps
  20. Check eBay. I picked up a NIB one for around $140 a few months ago. I haven't looked recently, but at the time there were a few on there. I received it within a week (but I'm still waiting on the ATF to aprove my form 4, so the stock is just sitting in my safe
  21. I personally go .45 ACP for HD. Mainly 'cus it's a double action, decock only with laser grips and one in the chamber. If I wake up with an intruder in the house, I can just grab it, put the red dot on the target (making sure it's not the dog and pull the trigger.
  22. There's a guy on ebay selling them NIB. hunters_stuff I think. I paid for mine Sat and received it this morning (Mon). Just as advertised, NIB and complete with pad.
  23. The only place that I could find was at e gunparts dot com (sorry, not enough posts to include a link yet) They have them under the benelli parts, and not cheap! I'm looking for one also, but I figure I'll wait to shoot my pistol-grip M2 entry before I decide on ordering the comfortech, and with the BATF taking foreveor for form 4s, it'll probably be months before I get to shoot it. ):
  24. I looked into going this route, but after many calls/e-mails to Benelli and Beretta about registering a reciever and buying a 14" bbl, I just ended up getting an M2 tactical entry (14.5" bbl). Neither Benelli or Beretta wanted anything to do with the process, and getting the entry was close to the same price as getting a M2 tactical and buying another bbl for it (plus the tax stamp). As long as you can legally own class 3 weapons where you live (I'm in AZ), you can have shorter than 18" bbls on a shotgun.
  25. Gotta' find one in-stock!! I got a Benelli M2 Tactical Entry (14.5" bbl) and I'm just waiting on the form 4 to go through. Even with the first transfer from FL to AZ, and the form 4, I'll be well under 6 months. Not the same story with my Sterling MK-4, but that's a three transfer plus the build firearm. If I'm not mistaken, Only the Best Firearms has a Super Nova entry in stock (not 100% on that, they definately have another M2 entry and an M4 entry, but I can't remember what the other Binelli entry was)
