Like the title say, Merry Christmas to all members and lurkers. For fun, we can list our best gifts of the holiday. We got my 8 year old daughter a chocolate female Labrador puppy for Christmas. We picked her up from the breeder yesterday much to the wide eyed open mouth surprise of my daughter. She should fit in well here at the top of the mountain in the ponderosa pine forests of north western Arizona.

I have not personally had any FFT trigger components fail. I've heard others have had some issues, but in the 50 or so I've done - no issues with FFT, mixed with OEM or with Geissele components. Some triggers have finish defects. Minor pock marks or scuffed NP3 finish. Some care, some do not I've yet to handle the Briley set, so I can't comment on them. I prefer to do the installs myself though.

I've installed about 50 sets without any kind of issues. The full kits are tough to get at the moment. Geissele hammers are better, but they aren't being made any more. Briley makes a trigger set now as well. I have handled them yet to comment on them though.

Back during the Sandy Hook ordeal, those went in to retard pricing. I recall one or two making it to the 7-9k range. As nice as they are, the H20 Extremes we build are better. We use NP3+ instead of just NP3. Plus we coat more of the weapon with all the selected aftermarket components.

Good deal, send me your PayPal information via IM and I'll pay it right away.

If available still, I'll take the trigger pack.

Does anybody run their M4 without the top rail?
StrangerDanger replied to forzArmata's topic in Benelli
You could put a dab of black silicon in the receiver holes and it would protect the threads. It would be easy to pick out if you decided to attach the rail down the road. -
I would have been wrong on the reserve. I expected over 2k. Also, still looking for your M1014's item.

The ATF would frown on their shop not visually inspecting the firearm to verify the serial number. Shame on them for not contacting Benelli for you and getting the parts enroute. Benelli's customer service may take a while, but they do take care of their customers. The replaced half of my 11703 M4 way back when per my request after the bolt battered itself to death.

Cannot wait for this to come out. For those of you guys who haven't tried Scalarworks other mounts, I highly recommend checking out their picatinny rail mount options for various red dot optics. Their mounts are lighter and better designed than even LaRue of ADM. Every item Scalarworks comes out with is hit out of the park. I like them so much that I'll be carrying their items as a dealer very soon.

She's in good shape. You can tell that it hasn't been fired very much by the very limited amount of wear around the ejection port from the shells making contact with the edges of the port.

Announcement: AVA Mod1 for the Benneli M4

Wow, that's awesome. My engineering mind is spinning. Any thought on a method of supporting the front end of the light?- 105 replies

Beautiful engraving. Definitely not the acid etched variety that is common these days. The rear part of the receiver looks like the relief engraving on a Winchester 1895 One of One-Thousand I had from the late 70's.

Aimpoint pro on an m4 + slugs. Can it survive?
StrangerDanger replied to filthy phil's topic in Benelli
Should be fine. The height will suck though. -
All questions have been answered apparently.

Not that I know of. Carriercomp looked into producing a mount for the M4, but abandoned it. If I recall, it was going to have a proprietary SOG blade. I remember back in the late 90's seeing this when I was in high school. Before that I had mainly used the M121 Hk import my Dad had. That started a long wait until Benelli offered up the m1014 and later models to civilians in the US.

If you need any help finding a three position extension, let me know. There is one on gunbroker the last I checked. Numrich has been out for years. We have a thread on here showing the tear down process of the extensions. A MAPP torch is the tool to have. I keep hoping to find serial 666, but I'm guessing the devil has it.

Nice M1014. Love working on them. She could use a 3 position receiver extension and a carriercomp titanium tube.

Whenever given the ultimatum of picking between the guns/dog and the wife/girlfriend; pick the dog and guns.

Has anyone mounted one of the intelligent beam Surefire heads? I'm curious to know of the barrel shadowing causes issues with the unit's lumen output? IE: is the shine off of the barrel causing light blow back to trick the sensor into dialing back output?

I think you'd have a hard time snapping an IWC mount. You can modify an existing Scout light to work with the Ava Tactical system. You'd need to remove part of the tailcaps shroud (or all of it preferably) and you'd need to modify the foot of the light body to fit into the boss in the unit. Not as ideal as a drop in unit. However, there are certain drawbacks by having a drop in unit. There are serious size constraints in play along with how close you want the light to ride to the weapon. If we're dreaming about the ideal weapon light, I could think of many aspects necessary to create the perfect design. You could create a flow chart of pitfalls to overcome. Such as are you going to suffer with tape switches and cables or are you going to push for a remote wireless activation switch system like Crimson Trace is pushing? What is the activation system going to look like? Is it going to be molded buttons into the handguard, or a physical mounting position similar to the Ava Tactical mount that simply has the momentary/constant on button?
