  3. Black goes w/ anything. It dosen't seem to age like camo patterns. Think back to the advantage patterns on mossbergs and franchi.
  4. They did better than the xpert on paper. Not the reason yet our season hasn't started back yet and the swamp is a little dry:(
  5. Look down a couple post to see my patternmaster post. I have the ext and have shoot skeet and done some patterning with xpert and hevi metal but not any birds yet

  10. I have a few bang arounds RNT quackhead quack stacker,Zink PowerClucker goose call, and a handmade single reed call from a local call maker. I plan on buying a few new ones to try out like the duckcommander duckpicker and wood duck call. Our woodies don't seem to decoy and calling might not work.
  11. Never heard of front and rear sights for waterfowl. Deer,Turkey Yes. I saw some by truglo and something called a firering in cabelas.
  12. To be honest I didn't look at the date just tried to respond w/ help for the poor soul:rolleyes:.lol
  13. Wonder what the verdit was on this old post after sending it back for ejecting the unfired shells?
  14. Depends on how much shooting and how you take care of your guns. I like to take it apart and clean the barrel and wipe the bolt, wipe out all fouling from the inside of the receiver with a good CLP like Breakfree.Put it back together and put a good rust preventive on the outside like Corrosion X or Break Free CLP and lube the bolt rails lightly. Good to go I do this every outing and at the end of the season I will clean the bolt and plunger unless I get it wet then it all gets cleaned and dried out.Tucker had a good post on cleaning the SBEII I'll try to find it and post it.It's what I have and pretty sure will work for all Benellis. 16. may have to put a sticker or smudge the lens of your left eye on a pair of shooting glasses or switch hands like I had to do,due to poor vision in my right eye.
  17. I do reloading for my bolt action but I wouldn't recommend reloading for an auto.
  18. Corrosion X, BreakFree or EEZox seem to have the best rust prevention.
  19. Sorry to hear that CS has been golden to me so far.I had a issue w/ mag cap and they sent one out but it was the same way just sent it back hope to get it soon.
  20. They should feel the same they have the same butt/foreend. I went with the SBEII It does it all.

    Shotgun Sight

I've always wondered what the gun looks like under the glue when it comes off or one get tired of it.
  22. I think the wood maybe kick a little less due to the weight.I have shot wood guns for a long time and have had know issues if they get wet take apart ,let them dry and oil before putting them up simple.I went with the Black 28" SBEII looks super sexy when oiled you won't be sorry with either purchuse wood or black. As for the Vinci it's new 3" not alot of time in the field no add on's. The m2 is a great little gun and is the same as the Vinci and has the wood option and is proven.
  23. I own an 870,1100,1187 all are great guns and have held up well in any condition but they must be taken care of or they will rust.My 1100 is a 1975 model and has the engraving on it. I don't shoot it much at all maybe a quail hunt or something but the weather has to be right and the woods not to thick:D.It was left to me by my Granddaddy and its priceless to me and yours will be to you one day.
  24. I would put the 1100 up and keep it,don't do anything to ruin it or change the factory condition. It will be ok to shoot but I would keep it as pristine as I could and buy a gun just for hunting.I would get what I could afford at fit the best.Auto's are great for skeet and other sports but can be tricky to clean for a newbie and are sold in cheaper modles like the Stoger m2000,Mossburg 935 great beginner autos for everything for skeet to Deer. You may want to look at a budget over and under like the condor it's on sale time to time for $350 or less. But, if your set on a pump go with the nova but to me an old remington 870 is hard to beat and fits me alot better than any nova.Good luck with your choice let us know what you choose and cherish the gift from your Dad.
