I use a Sherpa.....Herbie is his name....he carries it to the final forward firing position.....the rest is easy.

SD, what's a MasterKey ?......lol. I knew if the village didn't appreciate the bayonet on a Glock they wouldn't appreciate the Benelli M4 hosting a 870 ! .....redundant. I fabricated what I call my UniversalKey.....better than the KAC package in several ways. The LaRue 7.62 16" is hosting the party here, the 870 as a back-up gun being a "New York reload". It takes about 60 seconds to assembly / disassemble the kit. Knock-Knock ! Who's there ?

1+.......a gimmick.

I don't want to incite a discourse on various shooting philosophies, however allow me say this about that. The first sentence sounds like you would agree with me.........thereafter, we depart in philosophy. Except at emergent contact distance engagement, it is always possible to see a front sight and not point shoot; point shooting is not faster and certainly not more accurate, especially with target transitions where point-shooting methods expose their faults....the well-known Bill Drill illustrates the point. At night, training to see the front sight silhouetted by muzzle flash or ambient light allows one to engage targets accurately and fast out to 25 yards and beyond. It is a matter of training your subconscious mind to see the front sight, every time. I am a long time disciple of Bill Rogers reaction time shooting methods and train at his school several times a year in various weapon disciplines (shotgun, carbine, pistol). Bill has had some of the best point-shooters in the world attend his classes and they quickly realize that the sub-second target presentation speeds of his course, one cannot accurately point shoot with multiple target arrays at various distances.

It may be a good option in CQB when you reach slide lock with empty magazines at your feet. I haven't found a holster to fit it yet.

These type of devices work pretty well to assist your early training in drawing and bringing your muzzle up on target as your breaking the shot, where your eyes are looking....however, since the laser is in the bore when your sights are set up correctly, you will not see the laser dot, therefore you begin to "peek around" your front sight to see if the dot is there as you are pulling the trigger.....it is!....so, if you do it too much you begin to re-focus your eyes and re-train to look around the sight to see the "reward" of your training....ie. the nice red dot very near your intended front sight POI. The front sight becomes less and less clear as one begins to concentrate on what the laser dot is doing. This is a really bad habit to get into because you begin to rely on seeing the laser impact with you primary focus instead of with your peripheral vision. The feedback you are getting from the laser dot should be the same as the feedback from the front sight. If the front sights and its alignment with the rear sight changes as the hammer or striker contacts, you know you have a problem. As long as you practice with keeping the front sight clearly in focus through out the entire cycle you should not develop any bad habits. However if you do that and learn to call your shot instantly based on the sight picture at ignition you will not need the laser. In short, it can lead to bad habits in training the subconscious mind ........you only want correct repetition to imprint the subconscious mind. I found it worked fine when drawn from the holster.

It is the same 3M tape that is "used" on humans......a common brand name is Coban and is offered in different colors as well.

EDIT: Or you can either wrap the entire tail-cap in shrink wrap or innertube. For aesthetic reasons you may try to just put innertube on the backside and that may be more than enough. The new-bies are a lot of work ! The shrink wrap is easy and non-destructive.

SD, On one of my M4's I use the Wilson Combat 10/2 QD low profile rail mount......designed to limit the amount of away-from-the-operator rotation of the weapon that is usually present when the QD mount is laterally positioned on a forward rail or slotted sling mount. The 10/2 mount is a pretty good solution.

Exactly....had to add the extra .....'s because apparently there is a 10 character minimum for a post.

Before AVATactical forward mount was available, I used a combination of SideArmor / SureFire to get a 4-rail circumferential system similar to Brugger & Tomet M4 forend substitute. With Joel's AVATactical forward mount with an integral QD, you could use a setup like this and just add the SideArmor for shells and optic mounting.

What they said. Usually a D-ring retaining clip will be present on a M1 trigger group, whereas a snap ring is used on the M4 group.

Noveske SBS v. Benelli SBS.

I have done quite a bit, all the transactions were fine, however, none since John Noveske died earlier this year. Some Noveske bling follows:

KAC has a nice replacement for the factory battery cover, the advantages being no special non-marring tool is necessary to remove the cover if you desire to maintain its showroom finish and it holds an extra battery. It has the O-ring and nicely proportioned knurls to get a good fingertip purchase on the cover for removal / installation and easier to manipulate the intensity settings when wearing gloves; it has the same cap height profile as the factory cover, although the its hard to tell by the photo; it is also designed with enough internal cap space to accommodate storing a spare battery for 100,000 hours of activity capability (~10 yrs); it comes with an internal rubber washer that fills the gap if you choose not to store a second battery; .......will make a nice Holiday stocking stuffer for yourself.

Solvent remover and cross reference charts.

Also found this one around the house, an early model workhorse.....1" mount fittting and the clip does not have to be removed. The only disappointment is that the QD lens protector is too bulky to fit with this application.
