  1. I liked it so much I also put it on my Lefty M4!!
  2. I know some of these are fuzzy, but wanted ya'll to see the difference of red-dot vs iron sights. You can still see the two white rear sight dots. I can't attest to how much you've had to drink prior to viewing though. hehehehe!
  3. Close up to see rear sight/red-dot perspective. (i.e. NO co-witness)
  4. So, I have the RMR on an American Defense Mount. The rail is Mesa Tactical w/ saddle. It fits LOVELY, no marring of the AD Mount or the rail! So, yeah, NO possibility of co-witness as I asked earlier in the week, but I'll give this a whirl. Just got stuff today, so hopefully hit range Monday(too busy this weekend!)
  5. I'm a fan of Vortex Optics. They are a local company to me, give local LE agencies good support, have a V.I.P. warranty(for EVERYONE) that is at least as good as Leupold's warranty. I am a consumer only and do not work for, get paid by or have any shareholding interest in Vortex. For CQB work they have a Viper PST and Razer HD. The Razor is a very hefty optic. The PST is less expensive but certainly *NOT* hugely lesser quality. The PST's are not quite available yet. I will be running one of these on my AR15. The 1x is a true 1X so for CQB work, it's very Aimpoint-ish. All are illuminated reticles. For long range, like Hooksters M1a, or what I'll run on my DPMS LR308, I'm awaiting the Vortex Viper 4-16. They also make a 6-24. There is a RAZOR HD 5-20 that is bad-A** but it's heavy, 35mm tubes and $$$$$$$. Certainly similar to a Leupold ER/T or LR/T. I've had an ER/T and it's beautiful glass! I could see the sand grains in a roof shingle from 3/4 mile!! But. . .what is it YOU have to do with the optic? How much are you willing to spend on good mounts and glass? I would say for the MR1, a 4-16 would be more than sufficient. Maybe even a 1-4 or 3-9. I think that Vortex, Leupold and Nikon make some of the best glass for the money. Oh, and certain Zeiss scopes too. I have or used to have all brand I mention. Best of luck! 2-wheel
  6. ME163, Here is the contact info from his webpage. Kip Carrier (850) 516-1901 Here's a link to the "CONTACT" page of his site; https://www.shop.carriercomp.com/contactus.sc I ordered an American Defense RMR quick-detach mount. It should be in by end of the week. NOt sure I'll have time this weekend to sight it in, but I may be able to on Monday. I'll keep ya'll posted. 2-wheel
  7. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=14613&highlight=posting+images Tucker, see how helpful you are, even in past tense?
  8. I REALLY like the colors you selected for the camo! I feel horrible saying this , but if it were my gun, I would've liked the camo-spots to be larger throughout. More similar to the rear-right side of the stock. That, and have the camo go from fore-end to barrel, like wrapping around. NOW. . . I coudn't do a camo job with rattle can, tape and beer. Soooooo, please understand I'm no expert nor claim to be! But, Love the direction you went with the camo pattern and as stated, the colors too! Keep showing off your gun porn, it's fun to see! 2-wheel
  9. sorry if you've already seen it. It was new to me and I thought worthy of sharing. Enjoy! 2-wheel
  10. Looks like a Briley choke, but I'll let him tell ya for sure!
  11. I kinda feared that would be the CW response. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't missing something obvious. The only obvious thing I was missing was it isn't possible. C97, I'm going to take your input. I see that American Defense has a quick-detach mount for the RMR sight. I asked them to see if they've done any testing with their mount on the Benelli and/or Mesa Tac rail systems. I believe some on here have posted some disappointment with the LaRue mounts on the factory Benelli rail. *NOT* due to LaRue, but the quirkiness of the Benelli rail. I'll see if the A.D. mount is a tad different. I understand the thing about co-witness on a shotty, but I like to live by "Two is one, One is none." the best I can. Thanks again, I'll keep ya'll posted! 2-wheel
  12. Is anyone running an optic on their 'Nelli M4 (or even M2) that allows for co-witness of sights? I recently came across a Trjicon RMR and was mock-mounting it on my M4. IT doesn't appear as thought I'll have co-witness with either the RM33(short) or RM34(tall) mount!?? I hadn't been too sold on an optic for a shotty, but thought the tiny size of the RMR might just be unobstrusive enough to try. Welllllllll, then not having co-witness just got kinda frustrating. I guess worst case scenario, I put it on my DPMS LR308 as a CQB sight on top of the 4-16x! BUT, that's NOT what I had planned for it. Any input, insight or ideas would be greatly appreciated! Regards, 2wheel
  13. AC45, I like the ones on post 4, 17 and 18. Post 4 - Just a classic look + it truly breaks up the outline of the gun, truly the intended purpose. Post 17 - That M14/M1a is looking ready to blend into nearly any environment! The waving lines really break up the rifle. I might consider breaking up the light-colored lines a bit more just so "the enemy" wouldn't see that long tan line. Post 18 - I like the color combos on this one, but maybe break up the pattern a bit more. It's almost too predictable of a pattern. I guess I'd like the colors of the Sig's work with the pattern on the M14. AC45 - - did YOU do the work on those guns you posted?? IF so NICE WORK!! IF not, still nice looking guns.
  14. I concluded today that this is what I'll mount on my M4. The Surefire M80 quad rail, onto which I'll install my M600LED weaponlight with this switch to activate: http://www.surefire.com/Remote-Dual-Switch-for-WeaponLight-SR07 I'll cover the exposed rail with some Pic-rail covers. I was also going to mount the Magpul angled foregrip on the bottom rail. What I like about what I *HOPE* to accomplish is that when I take the M4 apart for cleaning, the light will come off with the foregrip. PLUS I gain a point towards 922r compliance, not that I really care, but it's just nice to know. Soooo,it's kinda sorta a dedicated weapon light. Anyway, $.02. Regards! 2-wheel
  15. *bump* I'd be interested to hear as well.
  16. Phew! If you did, I'd "hope" you'd "change" your vote for next election.
  17. Probably like red-headed stepchild syndrom. Who will claim what. Daimler owned Chrysler, but were they the same? Nooooooo! I certainly don't have a Mercedes Turbo-diesel in my Jeep. It'd be killer if it did though! Good read and info though. Thanks ya'll!
  18. Those will be tough to see with my iron sights on the M14. I can try though! I only have one scoped .22. Suppose I could try that @ 50 and 100?? You make a very valid point though Tucker!! I think to give the drill a tad more stress, add a time factor as well. Or, treat each line as a new series of "bad-guys." Line 1 - 30 seconds. Line 2 - 20 seconds. Line 3 - 10 seconds. Line 4 - all time you want. What I've found is when you give someone "all the time they want", everything is overthought and they wait for the absolute alleged PERFECT conditions, but shoot a relatively large group. I love all the games that can be played with shooting. BTW. . . nice shooting Tucker!
  19. The selection I underlined above is such an easy and PRICELESS ally to have!!! I'm not saying it's always easy though. Even arresting somebody, be polite/professional. Another day, month that person may have the choice of helping you in a jam, giving some great credible info or being a witness to discredit a B.S. internal affairs claim! OR. . .they can turn their back and allow you to suffer. In short, it's called kharma. Unobtanium. . . you practice and speak wise words!
  20. Here some ideas of what I've been able to obtain. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23323
  21. I don't want to repost someone else's post photos, but....I bet Texas Skeeter has comparison photos for you to look at and decide if you'd like Tacti-Cool (18") or Tacti-HELLAcool (14") I only say hellacool because of the relative exclusivity of having a 14". I guess intended purpose should be considered. For years the 6+1 Rem 870 was deemed acceptable. Now that the M4 has come around with a 9+1 possibility in the 18"(float a round on carrier) all of a sudden the 14" (5+1 I believe??) is seemingly inadequate! My $.02, is, if it's for HD and fun, the 14" will suffice. If you're going to do 3-gun, then negative, get the 18". Either way, in the end, you'll be saving up $$ to purchase the one you don't have. Best of luck!
  22. HEHEHE, funny! Yeah, I figure WI is no notorious for how much the bill writers "love" guns, anyone in this forum could understand. BUT....being as to your a fellow cheddarhead, you *REALLY* understand! Thank you for your support of the 2nd Amendment.
  23. I have 14 lines of defense. Chambered round in my G-21, and the following 13 in the magazine. lezzz see, that's 230gr X 14 = 3220gr of lead Then a Surefire w/ 160 lumens. Then a six-pack of Guinness to calm the nerves afterward. So 3220gr X 160 lumens divided by 6-pack = Happy to Survive! Someone please step in if my math is off!
  24. I just used a caldwell bag to steady the front of the shotty and held the buttstock with my hand. Adjusting elevation by swelling my fist more or less, whatever needed. What better way to spend Labor Day??
