1. I would appreciate a better video! Did you have similar issues with the bolt not closing after firing the first round if you just dropped the extra round on the carrier without pushing it back? I'm not sure if I am the only one noticing this or if it is pretty standard.
2. Its pretty easy, search youtube for benelli m4 ghost loading to see a quick demo. For me and my gun, the trick is once you've pushed the ghost round down on the carrier, you have to push it back as far as you can. Otherwise, after firing the first shot, the bolt gets hung up on the floating round and you have to manually push up on the carrier to chamber the round. It seems to be getting looser with time and use though

M4 c-stock

My best advise is to be vigilant and patient. Check sites like gun broker, frequently. Last August, I was watching a few selling in the 450 range, checked probably every hour if not twice an hour, and within just a few days one popped up for 325 NIB with a BIN price of 375. I snatched it up immediately and was glad I did as the guy from which I bought posted up 5 more with increasingly higher prices! Just keep looking, and If you see one that you are willing to pay for, act fast!
4. That's great! I've only had one failure ever, no FTF or FTE, but the last shell in the tube didn't load onto the carrier. Only happened once and I'm sure it's just because I'm using the stock spring with Kip's full length tube. Congrats again!
5. I ran about 25 slugs and 100 shells of stiff 00 buck when I first got mine. My shoulder still hates me for that, but I've never had any trouble cycling shells since, even low dram 7.5 birdshot.
6. I've seen them go for more, and I've seen them go for less. Just be glad you got one that was in stock and didn't have to wait 8 months for one to come in from Italy (lesson learned the hard way). Congrats on the purchase, I think you'll love it!
7. I thought the fft tubes were titanium as well.... I could be wrong but i thought the only steel tubes out there were OEM or socomguys now unavailable tubes (dmw's are steel too?) i agree though, CC tube is awesome! Edit: just looked, fft has steel tubes as well.
8. No problem. I didn't know anything about shotguns when I started looking into getting one. Like you, I couldn't figure out why I couldn't find a semi-auto with a plain pistol grip. Lots of time and research, I figured it out and just went with a Benelli M4.
9. If you want a shotgun with a pistol grip and no butt stock (thats what I think you are asking, correct me if I am wrong) you will need to go with a pump. Semi autos need the butt stock to cover the recoil tube. Best you could do is get a collapsible stock, but you'll still have something hanging off the back.
10. Thats exactly how i have mine set up, and I consider myself to be compliant. Of course, there are plenty out there who say to be sure you should write ATF and have them confirm, but Im not worried.
11. Yeah, I just tried to post some pics. Check back later to see if it's been approved yet if you want to be jealous!
12. Ask and you shall receive (first attempt at posting pictures, let's see if I can do it) I took those with my 3+ year old cell phone, forgive the quality.
13. +1 on the SCAR 17, just picked mine up two weeks ago! (yes you need one)
14. Thanks for posting your opinion. I'll admit I was a little peeved when they announced the H2O right after I got my black M4. This always happens to me though, I buy an new phone/gun/TV etc and shortly after then new great thing comes out. Based on your findings though, I'll stop envying and enjoy my black M4, especially since I was able to get a c stock at a reasonable price. I just bought a .308 myself, should get here Thursday. What are you looking at?
15. I heard from Benelli USA that back in January they were just fulfilling M4 orders placed in June. That's 7 months for a standard M4, and supposedly the H2O model is limited production. I honestly don't know what the wait would be, but end of the year doesn't seem like too much of a stretch.
16. I don't know, looks the same to me from what I've been hearing all along. Keep in mind not all of the parts listed above are present on the M4 in stock configuration. Just parts 1,2,6,7,9-12,14,15,17,18 and 19 for a total of 13 parts. The standard pistol grip stock counts as one part, but if you have the OEM c-stock the pistol grip adds one more part for a grand total of 14 parts. You would therefore only need to replace 3-4 parts depending on your stock to be compliant. I am also told the two gas pistons only count as one part. PS. I got this information from the FAQ at carriercomp's website
17. August 18th and counting. Im waiting for an M4, and Joe D'Agostino from benelli usa told me they are just now fulfilling orders from June, so ive got another 45-60 days (probably longer, lets be honest). High demand and low supply
18. I wonder if this group will improve any on the issue you brought up earlier with regards to rapid firing and the hammer dropping early
19. Has anyone tried this mini rail system by briley? http://www.briley.com/magazineextensionbarrelclamp-1.aspx Looks like it gives you at least two rails that could be mounted anterior to fft or oem hangaurds
20. My interpretation would be (keep in mind i dont claim to be an expert) that if this were passed into law, new shotguns (like m4s) could be imported with collapsible stocks and full length tubes. However since 922r is about assembly not importation, batfe would probably still raise a stink about the number of imported parts on a shotgun imported before the law was enacted if you added a c-stock and/or full length tube
21. I specifically ordered my tube from carriercomp a few months before I was going to receive my m4. I actually got the tube first, so no waiting once i got the gun. It would have been hard to wait for it had i gotten the gun first though
22. I would definitely recommend kips at carriercomp as well. Superb craftmanship, perfect finish, plus he includes a free us made follower and premium spring. You do have to be patient though, took about 2 months for me to receive mine, but well worth the wait. An extension would be easier (not that its difficult to install a full length tube), but if you care at all about 922r than the ext wont help you out any.
23. You can get: US made follower. brownells or carriercomp have them. I've got kip's and it is perfect (as are all of his parts) US made hammer. Geisselle is the only one i know of. Available through carriercomp or direct i believe. US made forend. Several options are available, i havent made up my mind yet on which im going to get. Check out surefire m80 if you want rails or fft's if you want somoething similar to OEM. Voila, 10 import parts using OEM full length tube. The field stock does not have an advantage over the fixed length PG stock as far as 922 parts are concerned. They both count as one part. Factory c-stocks are separate from the pistol grip, therefore adding 1 extra part.
24. Strangerdanger had some really good info about the process. I havent had to do it myself, but you might find his tips useful. http://www.benelliusa.com/forum/showthread.php/26608-M1014-recoil-tube-removal?highlight=Recoil+tube
25. You bring up an excellent point; while i personally keep a glock fully loaded and unlocked in my nightstand (i live in texas and have no children), you can be just as prepared with an unloaded, locked up gun if you know your setup, know your weapon, and Practise! As soon as i have kids, i know ill start locking up my guns as well!
