  1. Did I say that? We still do (and have done) quite a bit of Benelli work. Send me a message or email with your wish list.
  2. My first thought too....Loose and sliding side to side while in the box? IF NIB I'd say just not zeroed, but if the gun has been used and zeroed maybe there are other circumstances?
  3. This EGW base details the hole spacing
  4. What is "bad" about the lifter? I've always found the TTI to work without issue, the Crums modified lifter is actually longer than the TTI....sometimes is just a hair too long and can contact the shell latch when the the button is depressed to close the bolt (sand about about 1/32" off the end of the lifter if that is the case) Mag tube spring (trim to fit, make it about 15" longer than the mag tube & extension) https://www.brownells.com/shotgun-parts/magazine-tube-parts/magazine-springs/extension-tube-spring-45-12-ga-prod87919.aspx
  5. Post a picture of where the contact is happening if you can.
  6. Is your shell lifter factory, or an extended or modified lifter (TTI, Crums, etc)
  7. Some of the Turkey and Custom Shop models have had a factory tapped receiver, not sure about the basic field models....most are not tapped. Check the price of a new M2 barrel if you don't already have one?

  9. Copied from a similar thread on AR15.com: What you have there is a factory-made M1 Benelli barrel ordered by Benelli USA for use in the Entry Model, but never actually cut to 14”. NFA firearms are not importable for civilian sale, so as a workaround, Benelli USA orders and imports from Benelli ITA as an 18” model with the sights installed for 14” length, just as you observed, then cuts to 14” and Form 2 registers as an NFA SBS. Never seen one make it out of the factory, pretty cool. ETA: Benelli doesn’t really position their NFA shotguns for civilian sales per se and the Entry models could be imported directly as NFA guns, however there is a ton of additional paperwork involved and the imported NFA guns become the practical equivalent of a pre-may dealer sample MG. This workaround is perfectly legal, smooths the distribution workflow and allows the resulting gun to be transferable rather than only available to LE and SOTs. That barrel is certainly an oddity to most people, but is worth a premium to a Benelli M1/M2 owner looking to Form 1 their gun into an SBS.
  10. Sold - Thank you
  11. Anyone want it for $160 shipped?
  12. WTS: Benelli 12ga. ComforTech Stock with GripTight Coating Item # 83181 New factory stock for the Cordoba. Also fits the M2 and SBE2 (the rubbery “GripTight” surface does not not lend itself to stippling) $225 shipped in the CONUS. Money order or PP (using friend / gift option)
  13. That is the old style M2 20ga latch. It will work in the 12 ga M2 and M4 but it has 2 downsides. (1)The release post (that sticks though the receiver) is hollow and contains a spring. You cannot drill/tap it for an oversize button (2)The forward section of the latch is just a little long so you have to push shells even farther into the mag tube to get them to clear the latch (farther in compared to the standard 12ga latch)
  14. KalashNova, What is the outside diameter of your barrel at the muzzle? Use a caliper or micrometer to measure to 3 decimal places. Knowing that measurement I can give you some idea of choke tube installation options. (This question looks familiar. Did you and I discuss this on a FB forum within the past week or 2?)
  15. 3mm x .5 (metric)
  16. If loose the barrel extension can unscrew off the barrel. I've seen maybe 2 or 3 barrel extension get loose over many years. Take the extension off, clean/degrease both thread areas and apply some red Loctite to the threads before screwing it all back together. It should stay put
  17. On the Brownells schematic and parts # listing the cap retaining pin and spring are the same on the M2, M4 and Super Black Eagle. No mention of a “sleeve” (I still think the retaining pin is staked in place)
  18. This is a M2 barrel
  19. I bet the 870 detent staking tool would do the job. I think I have one around the shop....somewhere https://www.brownells.com/gunsmith-tools-supplies/shotgun-tools/staking-tools/870-detent-staking-punch-prod25277.aspx An automatic center punch would work in a pinch. A third hand to hold the detest and spring in place while upsetting the metal would help.
  20. True, the older guns came out with a cast link that would occasionally break, same with the original Super Black Eagle (I've seen 4-5 broken parts over the years). Probably why the part was redesigned to use 3 sandwiched/rivets steel flat sections.
  21. The standard Nordic +5 tube(see below) is just a bit longer than the 21” barrel. Nordic also lists a +5B that is advertised as being a match to the 21” Benelli M2 barrel length. The standard 5 tune is 11.60” long, the +5B is 10.83” long. Nordic tube lenght info Some barrel clamps can impart pressure on the barrel and affect POI. There are methods for installing in the Nordic clap that can negate the clamp's affect or MOA Precision makes a “free floating” clamp that does not affect the POI. MOA Precision clamp
  22. Well....here's a different kind, one I finished up earlier this year:
  23. The bolt release is In stock on August 14 Link to MOA bolt release
  24. Yes, that is a TTI safety.
  25. If you dry fire the gun (empty chamber) will the action open easily? If it does open, try a dry fire with a little backwards pressure on the forearm to see the action still opens. We are checking to see if the Bolt Latch is disengaging when the hammer falls. Does the interior of the chamber feels smooth with no rust or plastic buildup?
