  1. There's a couple/few dozen on gunbroker alone right now. Purchasing is pretty straightforward, you bid or "buy it now", pay for it, choose your FFL and pick it up when it arrives. Of course you should notify them and then you have to pass the NICS check at your dealer. At least that's how it is in "free-state America". You may have additional hoopty if you're behind the blue state curtain.
  2. What Ben said, I think it was just an observation and not directed at you personally; in forums people occasionally drive-by, ask a question and are never seen again. I found the thread interesting. Welcome, stick around, ask questions and post away!
  3. I got mine, thanks Robb!
  4. That's interesting Doge and I truly don't understand. Isn't a spring a spring? As long as it's the correct length I'd think any one would work in any gun as long as it's 12 gauge diameter.
  5. Gunbroker $1099 https://www.gunbroker.com/item/924446627 Welcome, post pics we love pics!
  6. Call me crazy, but what he is holding in the picture doesn't look anything like part #39. I don't have a Vinci so I'm no expert but what he has looks like a shipping tab. I can't imaging there'd be easily breakable plastic parts in the chamber; I could be wrong.
  7. No, the heat shield doesn't make it MORE prone to rust than normal, it's just that you can't see under the shield well and removing it you will eventually scratch the bluing. I have 2 Mossberg's with shields and I got them Cerakoted as well because of that issue. An old saying is, "guns have 2 enemies, rust and politicians".
  8. Yes, the tolerances are so close on mine that it will only fully seat when I screw on the mag cap. It has loosened up a bit but it still needs the cap, I didn't remove any washers. I know for sure there won't be any play in it, you might try putting a dab of oil on it.
  9. Hmmm... looks like a shipping protective piece that was meant to be removed before firing, does your manual say anything about it?
  10. That is 120 yo technology, though effective. The problems are, they're a pain to get on and off and unless you remove them you cannot see clearly if rust is forming on your barrel. Briley's handguard wraps nearly around the barrel, and is relatively easy on and off as it utilizes the OEM handguard mounts. Here's a pic, mine is Cerakoted.
  11. Last week I ordered an A&S Engineering trigger guard for my M3, I love the ones I have on my M4's. A&S called me and said that Benelli had recently changed the OEM trigger guard and it was causing some fitment issues. They asked which I had, the "flat-back" or "pointed-back", they even sent pictures to illustrate the difference in the REAR of the housing, which I have posted. Just an fyi for anyone who wants to upgrade their M3, check your gun and order the correct TG to save yourself some headaches. (photos courtesy of A&S, used with permission)
  12. Pics always help
  13. Yes, you should, at least, get a new barrel, that looks terrible.
  14. Possible cause...
  15. Congrats on your purchase, you've made a wise choice that will serve you well for many years. As a defensive gun a sling and a light would be where I would start. Keeping a shotgun fed is fundamental so you might consider adding a side saddle. Velcro shot shell cards are inexpensive and easily replaceable on your gun; just some things to consider. Enjoy your new scattergun and welcome to the club!
  16. ??? Anyway, I guess he got it fixed because he hasn't been back
  17. I already have two but I will say this is a fantastic upgrade, who ever snags this will not be disappointed.
  18. Show us pictures
  19. That's not a problem, it's a feature! Sounds like the barrel isn't seated properly in the receiver, might have to finagle it a bit but it'll seat, it's new and the tolerances are amazingly close.
  20. Congrats on your shotgun acumen, you've made a wise choice! For a side saddle I recommend Esstac velcro saddles. They lay nearly flat when empty, they're not expensive, quickly replaceable with a full saddle and a seven rounder fits neatly in a standard size mag pouch. Welcome to the forum!
  21. I assume you mean the weight question. As for the spring, I guess I'll have to test. In my mind, a spring is a spring, they're all sized for 12 gauge so I'd think that one meant for one Benelli would work for another, I may have to trim coils, IDK. I did find a discussion on springs from several years ago, I suppose I'll be the one testing this out. Fortunately springs are not expensive so if I totally botch one up it won't be a big money loss.
  22. I recently acquired an M3 and would like to add a 2 round mag extension. Will that throw off the weight enough to make a big difference to the inertia system? Will the factory spring work or will I need another and where would I get one? I'm not sure if one is included with the extension or not. There doesn't seem to be a lot of aftermarket stuff for the M3. Thanks!
  23. Gracias mi amigo!
  24. I just picked up 2 from Optics Planet, I think they have 4 left. Anyone have a link to Strangerdanger's install tutorial?
  25. Well, since you're dreaming, might as well go back to 1985, mortgage everything and buy as many full-auto's as you can; reap a 1000% profit!
