sdkidaho
What do you guys use, if anything? Do any of you have anything that you would highly recommend?
tucker301
I use Silencio muffs when shooting at the range, but no protection afield. Admittedly, this is not the best way to be, but Led Zeppelin did more damage in my teens than shooting will do for the rest of my life. nodark
I usually use some muffs but when I'm out "hunting", I use the small press in plugs that I got while I was in the Army
Butch-M
Led Zeppelin??????????? and I would have taken you for a "Deadhead." LOL

sdkidaho
So out in the field some custom jobbies like these might be ok? Or would you recommend going to a gun show or shoot and having them done? Looks like on those above you still have to go somewhere, and they aren't that bad of a price. ~$40. sdkidaho
Ack! Scratch that. They are quite a bit more than that. Hmm... now where did I see the $40 ones? Dang it... Found it - I was looking at the "kids" model. Whoops? Cheapest pair otherwise is $150. Cleric
LOL... that was on target I'll have to put some away for a pair of those plugs. My little brother has a pair from way back. He's a prof musician, so he does get the use of them. However, my hobby certainly justifies the purchase. Heck, it's more of a lifestyle anyway. rotaxbruce
I use Pro Ears all of the time even hunting. You can hear normal and still have protection. Allows you to hear the call better (rather than blowing too loud when you have ear plugs in), you can hear your partner and have normal conversation. I bought mine from Cabelas. Drundel
I have custom electronic plugs that run around $700 for the pair. They are great for hunting cause you can still hear and when you shoot, it cuts off the sound. I've worn them on over 500 shots this year already.
