FLAWLS1
Why does my M4 have L.E. right near M4?? Edited August 26, 2012 by FLAWLS1
Sukhoi_fan
Apparently you have the Limited Edition M1014. Does it have the skeletonized buttstock (fixed, non-telescoping)?

You have a pic of what I should look for?
Sukhoi_fan
If it does not have a screw in choke (rather it has a fixed choke), then from what I gather it's a M1014. Unaltered this is what one should look like, they generally have an American flag below the ejection port just aft of the handguards -

Unaltered this is what one should look like, they generally have an American flag below the ejection port just aft of the handguards - Oh ok, mine has a standard pistol grip stock and the choke appears to be fixed and not screwed. Also, mine does not have the american flag though. It just has M4 L.E.

Also, mine does not have the american flag though. It just has M4 L.E. Then it appears someone has swapped out the original fixed 'skeleton' stock, sold it, and replaced it with the standard PG stock. From what I gather, fixed choke and L.E. on the receiver = M1014. However I defer to someone more versed in these such as Uno who owns one.

heckler&kochp2000
The LE is not the m1014
heckler&kochp2000
And it should have the correct recoil tube if you plan on putting on a collapsible stock. Remove the stock watch the YouTube video ( benelli m4 ratworx ) and look for the notches on the recoil tube .
Unobtanium
The only currently produced M4 that I am aware of that has a fixed choke is the SBS. Do you have a factory SBS M4?

truckcop
My educated guess is that if you don't know if you have a SBS then you don't have a SBS.

paladinjme
Neither the 11721, 11724 (SBS), nor M1014 has 'LE' - or any variation thereof - stamped on the receiver as a part of the model designation. OP, are you referring to 'LE' printed on the box label? Edited August 26, 2012 by paladinjme

FLAWLS1
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s24/nofbdybs/benelli2.jpg THANKS! Yes, mine has this same stamp.
paladinjme
http://i148.photobucket.com/albums/s24/nofbdybs/benelli2.jpg I stand corrected...maybe...which model is in this pic? It is obviously *not* an M1014.

So L.E. stands for Law Enforcement and not Limited Edition? I guess it makes sense since I was told by the store that the guy is a retired LEO. I guess that's why he flipped out on the shop when I tried to contact him about his old M4 which is the one I have now. So these are worth more from the thread I read? Just found out my M4 also has night sights. Edited August 26, 2012 by FLAWLS1

paladinjme
11721 L.E. Law Enforcement Thanks for the reply. I have seen plenty of 11721's w/o the L.E. on the receiver so this particular L.E. is a 'sub-variant' - so to speak - of the 11721. Gotcha. Unobtanium
It indeed looks like an 11721, however, as far as I am aware, those do not have fixed chokes. Can you take a picture of the end of the barrel to verify? I am very interested in seeing this, if it does indeed, as that is part of why I bought my M1014. Copenhagen
I would like to see a pic of the sticker on the end of the box- I am curious as to rather it is really an 11721 as I was not aware that they were stamped L.E... I wonder if the original owner had that done?
paladinjme
OP does not have the original box - bought used - he did indicate to me in a PM that it does have a screw in choke.
