That disconnector pin can be a real SOB to install.  I just installed a FFT group with an NP3 plated disconnector pin.  Tight is an understatement.

Agreed. Tough part to hold and tap in. If you have roll pin holders, it isn’t too bad. The pin fits inside the tip of the punch and allows you to get the pin started. Then you can drive it in the rest of the way.

Haha, that’s what I finally did.  I grabbed one of my AR roll pin holders and the pin protruded just enough to get it seated.  I was giving it light taps after that.  I didn’t want to drive it into the side of the disconnector and deform anything.  Once I had alignment I started putting a little more force on it.  Still crazy tight.  I think I had some tolerance stacking going on with the NP3.

They're definitely a lot tighter than the old factory ones. Those you could push in with finger pressure alone. You definitely don’t want to be beating on that pin with a big hammer, but a nice 4 ounce Brass hammer would be safe.
