Retired Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Apologies in advance to the folks at Scalarworks and Mesa tactical;) I combined a Scalarworks BOR-RMR mount and a Mesa Tactical 6-round side saddle. Started by cutting the rail section off the Scalarworks mount, then putting it on the shotgun. Quote
Retired Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Then we cut a segment out of the side saddle. Quote
Retired Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 Next step was to fit and trim a little more off the side saddle, then mount on the gun. Quote
StrangerDanger Posted November 28, 2015 Posted November 28, 2015 Neat. Interested to see how it comes out in the end. You did well cutting the rail. Any concern with the rear vestigial portion of the rail obstructing the view of the rmr? Any reason you didn't just use a 3 gun gear Velcro card system? Quote

I already had the side saddle, used parts don't hold value so we figured cutting it was no different than selling at 50% or less. Test fit of the RMR. Quote
Retired Posted November 28, 2015 Author Posted November 28, 2015 This was the last test fit. We went slow on cutting/filing as we wanted to keep as much of the saddle as possible. I'll take her to the range next week to see how it all fits together. Quote
benelliwerkes Posted November 29, 2015 Posted November 29, 2015 Very nice. I love hybrid stuff like this. Quote

AVATactical.com Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I am looking forward to something involving this... Quote
StrangerDanger Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Better save that one for the Ithaca model 37 to avoid pesky ejection problems! Quote
Scalarworks Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 I am looking forward to something involving this... Yikes. Ammo over errything. Quote
AVATactical.com Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Yikes. Ammo over errything. Not the trigger! Needs to be improved to do so. Keeping those pesky fingers from wandering into the trigger guard should be a top design priority for mod 1. Quote
