RxArms
These heatshield components are CNC machined in Canada. I finished the installation video today, so you can see how it all works. https://youtu.be/ZUgIvyyq9Zs?si=Ug1nYP9NzDNNmmLo Edited July 29 by RxArms
John Doe
Wow. This is actually pretty cool. I am now considering it. As much as I love my Briley hand guard this heat shield is really nice. The only thing I don't like is that I have to buy the optic rail. Maybe a bundle package would be nice, just a thought. Good work sir.

Good work sir. thanks! I am trying my best to get the pricing down on all the components as best I can. I still might be able to lower the Heat Shield cost, and/or the receiver optic mounts. But I won't know for sure until my production runs have completed. As it stands now, our optic mounts are very competitively priced compared to others, I understand it sucks for those of you who have already bought other optic mounts, etc, but I can only go so low. Unfortunately I won't be offering any package pricing, it will be what it is. 2

Even still I am considering and will keep a look out for end product and reviews. Keep up the good work sir!
EzGoingKev
Does the magazine cap for the rail give the additional .150" of space like your OE replacement cap does?
les_garten
Just curious, does this work with the Impact weapons light/sling mount?

It is more now, I am measuring 0.27" more room for the spring vs OEM cap. This is due to the extra width added by the bracket and a redesign of the mag cap. les_garten
I didn't want to do any of these Fore ends. I think they mess with the classic look, the others were just too much for me. But this one has me really thinking I would like to do it. The other thing is, these gadgets are limited in their lifespans(availability), but this shotgun will be forever for me, so you kinda got to jump when these things are available, or as they say on TV, "to forego future regret". These products by RX are tasteful and well thought out. I really appreciate these things you come up with for us! I am on a Land Cruiser forum and we got a guy who grants our wishes and repair needs with an Engineering degree and a 3D printer as well. RxArms
It should be mentioned, and I will include this on the product page.. the heat shield does have minor amounts of play where the boss meets the optic rail, I am talking thousands of an inch, which are necessary for the tolerances of machining. After 2000-3000 shell on my receiver, it does show a small wear mark due to the heat shield rubbing against the receiver. This mark can probably be covered up using some Birchwood Casey aluminum black if one decides to get rid of the heat shield down the line, but I haven't tried to blacken the shiny spot. There can be ways to eliminate the play, such as a ranger band going around the heat shield and the mid barrel guide ring for example, or a ranger band around the heat shield and the forearm, or anything that will snug the heat shield down toward the hand guard. For me, and I realize I am not like everyone, a little mark on the receiver isn't a big deal, but I did want to be up front about this. Here is a picture showing what one can expect perhaps after 1000-3000 shells (i'm not sure when the rub spot presented itself). It is obviously not visible when the heat shield is installed.
synapse
I just watched your install video on Youtube. What's the difference between the stock Picatinny rail and yours? I assume it fits optics the same, correct? Really excited to see this on the market, thanks.

Really excited to see this on the market, thanks. ya the only difference is ours has a 1913 mil spec design (full picatinny slots, no cutout down the middle), and it has a boss hole to accept the heat shield, and I feel the front is a lot more smoothed out compared to OEM, creating less snag potential. It is the same height as the OEM, so in theory, any optics moved from OEM over to the Rx Arms picatinny should be pretty close to zero requiring a small adjustment probably. PaseMaker
Will the heat shield work with other m lok forends? For example the Midwest one or the Mesa Tactical one? https://midwestindustriesinc.com/benelli-m4-m-lok-handguard/ https://mesatactical.com/products/truckee-forend-for-ben-m4-12-ga-m-lok-8-in.html

It needs to be similar dimensions to the OEM, I designed it only around the OEM polymer.
