Dogman
So I have 3 Benelli M1’s, 1- M2 and now a M4. I am very familiar with the M1&M2’s. The M4 has a sling attachment with notches the allow you to turn this to the 9’oclock or 3 o’clock positions or leave it in the 6 o’clock position as it came from the factory. I want to turn this to the 9 postion but cannot figure out how to do it! It won’t come off and won’t turn when I take the barrel off. Can anyone tell me how this attachment works? When I took mine off, I used a pair of snap ring pliers. I don't know if you can move it in different positions like you said. With the snap ring pliers, it comes right off with no problems. Hope this helps.
NCswamp13
Remove the barrel first. Use aforementioned snap ring pliers to remove snap ring. Then you'll be able to adjust the sling plate as you want. Reinstall snap ring. 3

danbrew
I have a 11723 that I Form 1d. The 11723 has a front sling attachment that has a built-in QD attachment. And, uh, it rattles. Yeah, I know, it’s not like I’m sneaking up on anybody (today anyway), but it bugged me. I removed the sling attachment and mounted a QD on the funky new forearm. It don’t rattle anymore. lol.

Didn’t have a close up handy, but perhaps this large image will help. It’s a Magpul female QD that is attached to one of the front rails on the 11732 forearm. https://photos.smugmug.com/photos/i-3F45qj5/0/94a219d2/X5/i-3F45qj5-X5.jpg
