Favorite bird to shoot?

What is everyones favorite bird to shoot? Please name if duck, goose, pheasant, dove, turkey and name what kind. My favorite would have to be ducks. Teal, woodys and mallards.

I love that sound, I just find it more challenging to shoot a small fast flying bird then a larger slower bird.

I think GWT are the most fun to shoot just because of the wads they usually bomb in. With that being said, once the big honkers lock up I start drooling into my call rendering it and myself useless. There are not too many things that get me like that...

my favorite bird would have to be the woodie or the canadian. but then i like to shoot at anything that comes flying by my blind (if it's legal!)

Any thing that flys by and is in range. I like them all but I would have to say canadian geese and mallards are my favorite.

I just got my first chance to shoot some pheasants last Saturday and it was a bunch of fun.

Given the fact that about 200 farm-raised, grain-fed birds had somehow escaped from transport onto land leased by our hunt club, I can honestly say that it was truly a "shoot", and not much of a hunt

I too did my share of Pheasant hunting this last weekend too, but these were planted a month ago over a vast area which gets quite a bit of pressure. The birds actually get pretty smart once they get pushed enough, and for the first 3 hours we went birdless. The last 30 minutes was awsome as we found a dozen of them all holed up on one small little 8 acre parcel where we shot 4 roosters and kicked up at least 15 hens, for a minute I thought I was in SD instead of WI. Lots of fun, and good work for my Lab Tread.

There is a Pheasant Farm up here in Peshtigo that I frequent after waterfowl season is over. They pose no real challenge as opposed to ducks or geese, but it's still trigger time, and a good time.

I guess we all have been doing a bit of pheasant hunting. My dad and I went yesterday. He shot his second pheasant ever. That the only one we got but we had a great time. Went goose hunting with my brother the other day. He got 3 ducks and 2 geese and I got 2 geese and 2 ducks. It was pretty good.

Which Pheasant farm do you go to? I live in the Green Bay area and often drive to Lena and hunt the 5 corners property; it gets a lot of pressure and I often run into other hunters. I am always interested in other places near by.

I would have to say that I really like hunting Canada geese, but anything with a band on it is cool. Just got back from Lake Mattamuskeet, NC and a friend shot a banded Gadwall.

What's with Wisconsin? I've always heard it's a sportsmens paradise. Not enough ducks and geese or is it a highly restricted season?
