  1. On the Brownells schematic and parts # listing the cap retaining pin and spring are the same on the M2, M4 and Super Black Eagle. No mention of a “sleeve” (I still think the retaining pin is staked in place)

  2. I just checked mine and it has a bit of a rattle as well.

  3. I've been refreshing links at several websites and lucked up and snagged one last night from Palmetto State Armory. It immediately went out of stock, so they must have had a low quantity. I got the M1014 for $1899. They also had the standard M4 Tactical for $1799. Both were unavailable as soon as my transaction completed. With that purchase, I had to join you all at the Benelli forums. I'm not a complete Benelli newbie. I have a Super Vinci and a Super Nova (both in 12ga). Really excited that I'll get my M1014 soon. Already shopping for upgrades.

  4. I haven't installed one nor had sufficient intellectual curiosity just to knock it out for the heck of it BUT if I did this would be my plan. Call factory for replacement support collar; then whack away. But I believe you would have to have the proper support collar for the plunger which I envision as a small externally splined cylinder that allows the spring powered plunger head to traverse thru it. I believe the plunger spring assembly is removed by inserting a 1.5 mm punch thru the access port on the back side of the assembly which would fit thru the spring to greet the back side of the plunger. Installation would be the reverse, probably use a roll pin starter punch ? or a proper sized pin punch to compress the head of the plunger while tapping in what appears to be a support collar that is press fit into the cylindrical recess.

  5. I got notified, went in and did the paperwork. I hope to get it in 10 days. Sportman's came through!

  6. The first 60 11711 that came with a collapsible stock was an attempt to consider the M4 a US production shotgun since the ATF classified refinishing as firearm manufacturing. The ATF shut that down quick. However that first 60 made it out with evil features and is generally left alone by the ATF. I don’t know of anyone who gets harassed for their shotguns in free states outside of some spectrum dwelling Range Nazi Fudd.
