NP3 is getting increasingly more limited in retail sourcing outlets. I recently cobbled together these 14" SBS Mossberg Shockwave's, .410 & 20 gauge with NP3 coating of all the action parts. The .410 was done by Robar (no longer doing NP3) and the 20 ga. sourced by Vang Comp while they were extending the forcing cone / porting the barrel last year. Keep them handy in one of my load-out rooms for varmints and 2-legged malcontents. There is no aluminum tri-rail option for the .410 mossberg so for fun I fabricated a 6061 aluminum bushing on the lathe to mate the Mossberg .410 to the 20/12 gauge tri rail forend tubes.

My two cents on the weight: (1) keep it simple, (2) do more push-ups!!

Hi all, I wanted to share my custom bolt release for my SBE3. I went through a few design iterations in CAD and through 3D printing (FDM) with PLA. I tapped my original button and it is held in with Ti grade 5 screws and some loctite. I also painted with enamel paint I had laying around. Don't mind the crappy skin on the gun, this is my main shotgun and it gets used a lot for upland, waterfowl and clays. This is designed and machined by me out of 7075. During my exhaustive search I was unable to find any threads or videos specifically geared towards the mesa tactical urbino pistol grip stock and the Benelli M2. So it is my hope this thread helps someone in the future, should they encounter the same problems. The long story short, I don’t know if it was an out of spec issue with the urbino stock or a dimensional part change with Benelli. The issue was resolved by drilling the plastic cup mount inside the stock and the provided large oval steel washer to a slightly larger diameter and that allowed the recoil tube and threaded shaft to fully seat in the stock. Otherwise it was physically impossible to install the stock without this small modification. Thank you

I mean. I hike with my benelli m4 and the weight never bothered me.

I like a heavier gun as well; but I'm not carrying it around it all day long. Easier to swing and point on a lighter gun to be honest.

If you want to cut weight, you're going to want to swap out for a carbon fiber magazine tube. Then delete the iron sights. The polymer trigger housing is an ounce or so lighter than the A&S Engineering frame. Putting a Briley titanium choke in will reduce weight about a fraction of an ounce. Cutting a whole pound off is going to be tough to do without going to a 14" model.

Mine is just under 8 lbs unloaded . CC 7rd ti tube, RMR/ADM combo,KZ charging handle ,factory aluminum trigger housing.

I use Peltor Tac6s on my helmet. Otherwise just regular 3M foam orange. Roll them between finger and thumb. Then reach behind your head, left arm right ear, pick up the top of the ear and pull like youre trying to drag the ear over and around your head to your other ear. Insert plug. Let it expand. Technique matters!

You say its a waste of money. I say its a great choice because now he can add anything from foregrips to light mounts to qd sling mounts and with that 13" foregrip, the light now can be properly mounted towards the front of the barrel. Function > appearance. I didnt know this was a fashion forum, i think you are in the wrong place if you are looking for fashion with your firearms?

Sorry man, but I think that your choice of putting that ridiculous hunk of uselessness on a beautifully designed and aesthetically pleasing shotgun, is terminally flawed. It looks like S%$T. And it adds what? A bunch of slots that can never be utilized for anything usefull. It's an epic waste of money.
