  1. After almost a year, I’ve finally completed my M3 build. Parts list is as follows: Trijicon MRO, Benelli 7 round mag tube, Urbino stock, Esse 5 round shot shell carrier, TRex arms sling, Blue Alpha Gear sling clip, GG&G M2 pic rail, GG&G oversized bolt release button, and a Surefire micro scout light pro. Since it is very difficult to source a proprietary light mount specifically made for the M3, I decided to fabricate my own using a GG&G M2 light mount. The details of this modification can be found here:

  3. Ah, the good old days…. I did the very same thing last week when I was purging my old receipts and I came across my truck contract from 2008. Back then I bought a brand new 08 Ford F-150 SC Cab FX4 for 43k. Fast forward to August of last year when I traded in that Ford for a GMC Sierra Carbon Pro AT4, let’s just say the new truck was almost double the price. Ouch!!!! But I still smile when I start her up every day. Blessed! Thanks, Garza

  4. I have been lurking and learned a lot since purchasing my M4 a few months ago. Today I installed one of SOCOMguy’s (of this forum) 7 round mag tube today. When I first got a hold of him he had several black ready to roll out the door. I wanted to match my Titanium Cerakote, so he had a custom coating done and the color match is PERFECT. I just wanted to post a few pics so anyone looking at their options can see what it looks like installed. The install went smooth, thanks to being prepped with information found here. I also added the FFT forends and follower for 922R compliance. I think it took longer to get the FFT forends on than to change the magazine tube (about 20 min.). Then thanks to the instructions on FFT's site, I put the forward ends of the forends in first and installation then went smooth. I think they should put the install tip in the bag with the parts !

  5. Another ? for Joe (SOCOMguy). I bought one his 7rd tubes and it matched the black perfectly. And his communication and customer service are second to none. He was even willing to fix a mistake I made when installing the tube. Let’s just say I shouldn’t ate that popcorn! Luckily he walked me through the steps to correct and I couldn’t be happier! Great price, great product! Thanks, Garza

  6. IWC has changed the torque spec for their mount, although I can detect no physical difference. The former spec was 40 in lb max. The new spec is 10. I personally torque to 30, using loctite 243. This is my experience and opinion only, and I am not affiliated with any company listed. My preference has been 20 in lb on the light to IWC juncture, and 30 on the mount itself. Loctite 243 on both. I believe 10 in lb to be too low.

  7. Here was his post: I’d take the magazine tube apart and clean it well inside. Do not apply oil inside the magazine tube at all. I’d recommend making a polishing jig for the magazine tube. I put a 12 gauge cleaning rod in my drill gun, then wrap fine steel wool around a 12 gauge chamber brush. Then go to town up and down the inside of the magazine tube for 5 minutes. Clean out the residue and admire the mirror finished magazine tube. Note the difference in sound once you reinstall the spring and follower. The magazine spring won’t be fighting the resistance inside the magazine tube as much so that it can deliver more of the spring energy to loading shells onto the elevator. This is particularly important when it is the last round or two being loaded from the magazine. The polishing can be done on steel, titanium or even the Briley carbon fiber magazine tubes. And here was the removal tutorial: https://forums.benelliusa.com/topic/17395-benelli-m4-magazine-tube-removal-pictorial/#comment-116591

  8. Hello everyone, I’m new to the shotgun world (pistols only up to this point). About two months ago I walked into my local gun store for a home defense shotgun and picked up the Benelli Supernova Tactical. Having never fired a shotgun before, I instantly fell in love after firing that first round. I took the wife out to the range about a week later to get her comfortable with the SN (she carry’s a Sig p238), and I never got the shotgun back. That’s okay, that just gave me an excuse to buy another one for my side of the bed. I ventured back to the gun shop to get another shotgun for me, and there sitting on the wall was a Benelli M1014 (a gun my small gun shop rarely ever gets in). It was meant to be and I had to buy it! Now we truly have a his and hers. Been lurking here for a couple weeks and reading and learning a lot, so I decided to officially join the club. I’ll be posting some pics shortly once the upgrades are complete.

  10. Definitely one of my tubes. I have a small shop operation, limited quantity, high quality. Helping a few guys on this forum with reasonable price tube is good .... enriching a shady third party, not good! Joe
